Episode #161 – “Why I Cancelled the Cookout” | Daily Dimensions Podcast

In this episode of Daily Dimensions, I share the real reason behind the difficult decision to cancel this year's Men's Mental Health Cookout.

This wasn't a decision made out of defeat—it was made out of vision.

Over the past few years, the cookout has grown into something much bigger than I ever imagined. As the event continued to expand, I realized that trying to plan and execute everything on my own was no longer sustainable. Sometimes, taking a step back is exactly what's needed to take a bigger step forward.

In this episode, I talk about the importance of recognizing your limits, building the right team, and creating systems that allow your vision to grow beyond what one person can accomplish. Rather than forcing the event to happen before it was ready, I've chosen to invest this season into building a strong foundation so next year's cookout can be the best one yet.

If you've ever had to pause something you care deeply about in order to make it better, this conversation is for you.

👉 Tune in for an honest discussion about leadership, stewardship, growth, and trusting the process.

Episode #160 – “Am I a Good Person?” | Daily Dimensions Podcast

In this episode of Daily Dimensions, we sit with a difficult but important question: Am I actually a good person?

We explore what it truly means to be “good” — beyond surface-level kindness, popularity, or simply being tolerated by the people around us. This conversation challenges us to reflect on our character, our impact on others, and the ways we can continue growing into better, more compassionate people.

We also take time to process grief following the passing of my friends Shirley and Naiesha. After attending Shirley’s funeral this past weekend and seeing the hundreds of lives she impacted, I found myself reflecting deeply on the legacy she left behind. Shirley truly embodied what it meant to be a good person — through the way she loved, showed up for others, and touched people’s lives.

This episode is about self-reflection, grief, legacy, and the kind of life we want to leave behind when our time comes. 🙏🏾

👉 Tune in for an honest conversation on character, healing, and becoming someone who genuinely makes the world better.

Episode #159 – “Help Wanted” | Daily Dimensions Podcast

In this episode of Daily Dimensions, we talk about something many of us struggle with but rarely admit: asking for help.

When you’ve spent so much time in survival mode, independence can start to feel like safety. You learn how to carry everything on your own, regulate your life through control, and convince yourself that needing help is weakness. But over time, that same independence can quietly condition people to believe you don’t need support at all.

We dive into how survival mode impacts the nervous system, why constantly being in “fight or flight” makes rest feel unfamiliar, and how learning to regulate yourself is a key part of healing. We also talk about the courage it takes to ask for help — and how fear of rejection often keeps us stuck in isolation.

This episode is a reminder that help is not weakness — it’s wisdom. Healing often begins when we stop trying to do everything alone. 🙏🏾

👉 Tune in for an honest conversation on vulnerability, nervous system regulation, and learning how to receive support.

Episode #158 – “In the Room: Lessons from the Yale Black Venture Summit” | Daily Dimensions Podcast

In this episode of Daily Dimensions, I reflect on my experience attending the Yale Black Venture Summit — a full-day conference centered on financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and venture capital. 💼

From powerful conversations to pitch competitions, this event brought together visionaries, founders, and leaders all focused on building wealth and creating impact. I also had the opportunity to hear from and meet Rashad Bilal and Troy Millings of Earn Your Leisure, and soak in the wisdom they shared.

More than anything, it was refreshing and inspiring to be in a space filled with Black excellence, ownership, and forward thinking.

In this episode, I talk about:
✨ The importance of getting in rooms where high-level conversations are happening
✨ Why investing in your future matters more than ever
✨ The impact of being surrounded by growth-minded individuals
✨ And why experiences like this can shift your perspective in a powerful way

This is a conversation about exposure, elevation, and putting yourself in environments that challenge you to grow.

Episode #157 – “What Do I Do With My Anger?” | Daily Dimensions Podcast

In this episode of Daily Dimensions, I open up about something I’ve been struggling with lately — anger.

For most of my life, I’ve tried to avoid being seen as the “angry” or “threatening” Black man. Because of that, I learned how to process just about every emotion… except anger. And now, at 32, I’m realizing that avoiding it hasn’t helped — it’s only made it harder to understand and express in a healthy way.

This episode is a real and vulnerable look at what it feels like to carry anger but not know what to do with it. The fear of how people will react, the pressure to stay composed, and the challenge of finding a safe and healthy way to release what’s inside.

I don’t have all the answers — and that’s part of the conversation. This is an open dialogue, and I’m inviting you into it.

👉 If you’ve ever struggled with anger, expression, or being misunderstood, this episode is for you.

💬 I’d really appreciate your thoughts — how do you navigate anger in a healthy way?

Episode #156 – “The Burden of a Blessing” | Daily Dimensions Podcast

In this episode of Daily Dimensions, we talk about a truth that isn’t always easy to admit: every blessing comes with responsibility. 🙏🏾

Whether it’s a job, a relationship, marriage, children, or a new opportunity in life, blessings often come with pressure, duty, and the responsibility to steward what we’ve been given. At times, that responsibility can feel overwhelming — and even feel like a burden.

We also talk about the importance of not letting our frustrations turn into complaints that sound like a lack of gratitude for what God has blessed us with. Instead of complaining, this episode challenges us to learn how to process the pressure in a healthy way while still honoring the blessing itself.

This conversation is about growth, responsibility, gratitude, and learning how to carry your blessings with maturity and purpose.

Episode #155 – “Relationship Currency: Cashing In on Relationships” | Daily Dimensions Podcast

In this episode of Daily Dimensions, we talk about something that doesn’t get discussed enough — relationship currency and the real value of the connections in your life.

Relationships aren’t built in big moments alone; they’re built through consistency, support, and genuine care over time. In this conversation, we explore why it’s so important to water your relationships, pour into the people around you, and show up for others even when you don’t need anything in return.

Because the truth is, you never really know when you’ll need someone to be there for you. The strength of your relationships often reflects the time, energy, and intention you’ve invested into them.

This episode is a reminder that relationships are one of the most valuable forms of wealth you can have. 💭

Episode #154 – “From Wilderness to Abundance” | Daily Dimensions Podcast

In this episode of Daily Dimensions, I share a powerful testimony of how God’s abundance can show up when you least expect it — but right when you need it most. 🙏🏾

After spending months in a difficult wilderness season, walking in faith and obedience without knowing what the outcome would be, things began to change quickly. It took six months to find the right job, but in just six weeks everything shifted — landing the job, being promoted to Program Director, and even purchasing a car.

This episode is a reflection on trusting God during the waiting season and recognizing His goodness when the breakthrough comes. Sometimes the season of preparation feels long and uncertain, but when God moves, things can change faster than you imagined.

Episode #153 – “All Dogs Go To Heaven” | Daily Dimensions Podcast

In this deeply personal episode of Daily Dimensions, I share about one of the hardest decisions I’ve recently had to make — saying goodbye to my dog, Tico. 🐾

For years, Tico wasn’t just a pet — he was family, a companion, and a constant presence through many different seasons of life. In this episode, I open up about the emotions that came with having to let him go and the weight of making that kind of decision.

We also take time to reflect on the many memories, moments, and lessons that came from the years we spent together. While loss is never easy, remembering the love and joy that someone (or something) brought into your life can help bring meaning to the goodbye.

This episode is about grief, gratitude, and honoring the memories that stay with us long after the moment has passed.

Episode #152 – “Fighting Fear” | Daily Dimensions Podcast

In this episode of Daily Dimensions, I open up about the fears that once held me back — fear of rejection, public speaking, sharing my faith, and even going places alone.

As I began to heal and grow in confidence, I started reflecting on why those fears had so much power over my life in the first place. This episode is about confronting fear honestly and learning how to move forward despite it.

We talk about how living in fear only allows you to experience a fraction of your life, while confidence opens the door to living fully and freely. I also share practical tips on overcoming fear, building confidence, and stepping into the life you were created to live. 🙏🏾

Episode #150 – “Relationship Goals: The Dangers of an Idolized Love” | Daily Dimensions Podcast

In this episode of Daily Dimensions, we unpack the hidden dangers of idolizing relationships — especially the ones we see highlighted on social media. 💔📱

We talk about how placing relationships on a pedestal can create unrealistic expectations, pressure, and disappointment. Using the recent divorce announcement of relationship content creators Kristy and Desmond Scott as a real-world example, we explore how public-facing relationships often carry unseen weight — and how public admiration can sometimes lead to private fallout.

We also shift the focus inward, discussing why the healthiest relationships aren’t built solely on “relationship goals,” but on personal growth, self-awareness, and emotional maturity. Relationships thrive best when both people are committed not just to each other, but to becoming better individuals.

This episode is a reminder that love isn’t about image — it’s about effort, growth, and authenticity. 🙏🏾

Episode #148 – “Gone in an Instant: The Art of Self-Control” | Daily Dimensions Podcast

In this episode of Daily Dimensions, we talk about a hard truth many people learn too late: everything you’ve worked for can be gone in an instant if you lack self-control.

I share a personal story about how my own lack of self-control nearly got me kicked out of college — a moment that forced me to confront discipline, accountability, and the consequences of unchecked decisions. That experience reshaped how I view growth, responsibility, and the people I allow around me.

We also discuss how the people who pull you away from discipline, focus, and self-control aren’t truly your friends — because real friends want you to become better, not just comfortable.

This episode is a reminder that self-control isn’t restriction — it’s protection. It guards your future, your purpose, and everything you’re building. 🙏🏾

Episode #147 – “Titles & Responsibility” | Daily Dimensions Podcast

In this episode of Daily Dimensions, we’re diving into a truth many people avoid: everyone wants the title, but not everyone wants the responsibility that comes with it. 🎙️

We talk about how you cannot live a meaningful life without responsibility — and how responsibility is actually the pathway to discipline, growth, and becoming a better version of yourself.

We also break down the difference between ego and maturity:

  • Ego craves a title.
  • Maturity embraces a calling.
  • Ego wants recognition.
  • Maturity leans into responsibility and the work it takes to be who you’re called to be.

If you’ve ever felt the tension between who you want to be and what it actually takes to get there, this episode will hit home. 🙏🏾

Verses For This Episode: Matthew 23:11-12 & Mark 1:43-45

Purpose over Popularity: Choosing obedience over clout & how choosing purpose gives a peace that popularity never can

In this episode of Daily Dimensions, we talk about the tension between chasing popularity and walking in purpose — and how choosing the latter changes everything. 🙏🏾

Popularity focuses on image, vanity, and perception — how things look. But purpose focuses on impact, calling, and legacy — how things matter. In a world obsessed with being seen, we explore what it means to be sent.

We also unpack the power of humility — not as weakness, but as one of the strongest signs of spiritual maturity. Choosing purpose requires sacrifice, patience, and faith that what you’re building behind the scenes will bear fruit in time. 🌱

In this episode of Daily Dimensions, we dive into the reality that pain has a process — and when we allow ourselves to walk through it, healing and recovery are possible. 💭

This might be the most significant episode of Daily Dimensions we have ever made! Today we are talking about healing versus being distracted.  A lot of us may have gone through some things in life and think that we're "Over it" or that we're "Past it" because we don't actively feel the pain anymore.  Whole time we were just distracted from the reality of our situations.  Some of us are so distracted to the point that we allow our distractions to become our identity and now our distractions hold us in captivity and we never begin to heal!  Ask yourself, are you healed or just distracted?

Coming from an inner city I've been no stranger to violence in my community.  Unfortunately for many others who grow up in urban environments such as myself, violence is something that you begin to become desensitized to.  However many members of our community are still living with the grief and trauma of losing loved ones to acts of violence to this day.  As it stands my hometown of Bridgeport, CT already has 7 homicides to date and it's only the first day of the summer.  This episode speaks to the experience of dealing with grief, PTSD, and survivors guilt as an individual growing up in an urban setting.

Endometriosis is a common, yet poorly understood, disease that can strike women of any socioeconomic class, age or race. It is estimated that between 10 percent and 20 percent of American women of childbearing age have endometriosis. The disease can affect nearly every aspect of a woman's life--her ability to work, her ability to reproduce, and her relationships with her mate, her child, and everyone around her.

•In Today's Episode of #DailyDimensions we had the opportunity to sit down and talk with a real #EndoWarrior , Octavia Chynelle, about her fight against endometriosis and how it has affected her life in a number of ways.
