Trent fell in love with recording when his band at Virginia Tech went into a studio for the first time to record an album. Five years and one failed attempt at being a rock star later, Trent put down his guitar and went back to college where he earned a degree in the Recording Arts and began his career forward.
Hear the backstage life of an audio engineer, what that job means, and how Trent went from a rock star to an audio king.

Joining us "In This Corner" today is none other than Project Manager extraordinaire, Colter Beote! He's been with Matter for a decade and has seen it all - from Gusto's humble beginnings (three people in a cramped Newburyport office!) to now employing two dozen people across the country.
Colter may not have any fancy nicknames (yet), but let's call him the "Project Puncher" here for all the amazing work he's done. When he's not managing projects, he's reminiscing about his two homes - Salem, Massachusetts, and Pemaquid, Maine.
Salem may be known for its witch trials and Halloween festivities, but for Colter, it's where all the important places are - like his childhood friends and family. Speaking of Halloween, Colter's never outgrown it and loves to dress up with his daughter. Last year, he was a lobster and she was a stick of butter. Cute, huh?
And then there's Pemaquid, where Colter's family rented the same vacation house for years. They loved it so much that when the house next door went up for sale, Colter's parents bought it. Now, it's a special place for his family to visit in every season.
So, grab some Halloween candy or a Maine lobstah and get ready for another knockout episode. It's "Going Rounds" with our bud Colter Beote!
