Recent data shows less than 2% of church goers invite others to church. Why do we think this is the case? Is it because deep down we don't truly believe in the benefits of a church body? Perhaps it is just a matter of not caring? Or could it even be as simple as a fear of rejection? Today Pastor Matt encourages us to step out and extend an invitation to others!
You are anointed! Now what will we do with that anointing? Today Pastor Matt reminds us that the Holy Spirit in us is meant to be shared with others! As a believer, living in victory after Jesus accomplished what He did on the cross, we must now be a conduit for the Holy Spirit to move in and through us!
Desolate places aren't always a fun place to be. Today Pastor Matt encourages us to 'stick it out' when we are in those desolate places. Staying faithful in the desolate place isn't always the easiest thing to do, and many times we miss out on what God has for us in those places because we leave as soon as things get tough. Instead, let us be a people that trusts God in the desolate place.
How do we manage when we go through desolate places? At one point we have all been through, or will go through, a desolate place in life. However, it is in those moments that we must take on the mindset of "God, I will follow you wherever you lead me".
Today Pastor Matt continues his series on stepping in. Despite being on the doorstep of the promised land, the Israelites allowed unbelief to stop them from entering into the promise. They forgot that God was on their side, and suddenly their attention shifted to the giants within the walls.
Today Pastor Matt takes us through Numbers chapter 13, "The Twelve Spies". We pick up as the twelve spies return with their reports of giants, and how in that very moment their faith was tested. They knew the promise of God, but they had also seen the reality of the giants. Pastor Matt reminds us that faith isn't just saying that giants do not exist, but rather faith is saying that in the midst of the giants we choose to trust God!
Today Pastor Matt asks an important question, are we willing to step into the promise land or is there something keeping us out? Often times that 'something' can be old mindsets, past hurts, or the identity in which we see ourselves.

W move on to the Fire of God! Pastor Matt begins to teach us about the infilling of the Holy Spirit of God.

A sail boat can go much faster than the speed of the wind blowing. How is that? Pastor Matt tells us about the apparent winds! In our lives, these are there Godly people in our lives helping us get through hard times, and pushing us to stay in the will of God by listening to the Holy Spirit.
Pastor Matt takes us to the upper room where the Holy Spirit was poured out "as a mighty rushing wind." He reminds us that the same spirit that empowered the apostles to do great works is available to us today, we just have to be ready and obedient.
All great things come at a great cost. Whether it is getting married to the love of your life or the sacrifice of many brave men and women who fight for our freedom every day, nothing is truly free. Jesus gave his life to save your salvation, and all he asks for in return is that you let your life be transformed, and that you "deny yourself, take up your cross and follow me."
What we do in life doesn't just stop at us. It touches those around us, influences them which then causes them to influence others and so on! You never know how what you do really changes the world around you. This Sunday we get the privilege of sitting in on an interview with Pastor Matt's parents, who have over 60 years of ministerial experience! We get to hear how God touched their lives, which enabled them to touch the lives of those around therm.
Great revivals aren't birthed out of silence, and people don't hear good news unless it is spoken. Pastor Matt shows us in scripture places where thousands were saved because someone spoke out, and challenges us to do the same.
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday today and forever! Pastor Matt reminds us that the miracle working God we read about in the Bible is still available to us today, and encourages us to tell others what he has done in our lives because what God has done for us he will do for others.
Guest speaker Keith Harms takes us to the days after the death of Jesus. He tells us about how the apostles went back to what they knew after Jesus died on the cross, hopeless and unsure of themselves. Then Jesus rose from the grave and sent them out to continue the work He had started. Keith reminds us that when we feel unsure of ourselves and hopeless it is our job to finish what Jesus started. Not by our own power, but by the power of the Holy Spirit.
There are times in our lives when we feel like we are walking around dead. Like we aren't hearing from God, not living out our purpose or even really living at all. Pastor Matt reminds us that our lives can sometimes be like a tree. in the winter, they look dead, but when spring hits they burst with life! He encourages us that we are not dead at all, just dormant, and that we need to be ready for the new season.
In the final part of pastor Matt's series "Purpose" he gives us instruction on how to live in our calling. Be faithful where you are, put yourself in a position to hear God, and show interest in the obvious move of God. If we will submit ourselves to Him by saying "here I am, Lord," we will liver a purposeful, meaningful life as servants of our one true King.
We know we all have a God given purpose, and that we all have unique callings. How do we find our calling?Pastor Matt shows us that instead of always looking to our future to find our calling, we should be faithful in the season of life we are in right now, and position ourselves to hear the Lord we will find our calling.
Last week Pastor Matt talked about how we all have the same purpose, but different callings. this week He tells us that our calling is our customized life purpose that brings the most glory to God and growth to His kingdom. How we find our calling is by pursuing God faithfully, serving, and surrendering fully to God.
There are many makes and models of vehicles, From a screaming fast Bugatti to a massive dump truck. Though they are all different in style and even speed, they all serve one purpose, and that purpose is to transport things. Much like these vehicles God has made each and every one of us different by giving us different callings, and though our what may be different, our purpose is all the same. To spread the love of Jesus into the lives of those around us.
Guest speaker Keith Harms reminds the church that what God asks us to do isn't always easy, but just like training in the physical, The more you work and stretch your spiritual muscles the stronger you get. Keith also reminds us that when we do get called to do something that stretches us, we don't have to go off of the things that God has done for us in the past, but we can remember that He is the Lord God All mighty creator of the universe, and He is with us as we do what He called us to do..
Most people have a bad relationship with left overs. Sometimes we put our food in Tupperware containers and put them in the fridge to be forgotten. Other times the left overs from a project get taken to a dimly lit room in the back of the store as remnants waiting to be discovered by a brave soul that doesn't mind to step off a show room floor. Whatever the case, Pastor Matt shows us that God loves left overs! He encourages us to acknowledge and accept that we ourselves are left overs, that God wants to use to do something wonderful.
When we have a service to dedicate our baby to the Lord, we are saying that we will do everything in our power so that baby will live a life that brings glory to God. Pastor Matt points out that this service is more for the parents, reminding us that if our baby is going to live a life for the Lord, we need to lead by example and dedicate our lives to serving the Lord.
Pastor Matt capitalizes on Super Bowl Sunday by showing us how our walk with God is much like a game of Football. There are things in life which we need to "pass" to the Lord before we get sacked by the enemy, but also many times where we are running our routes and need to be expecting to receive from the Lord. Whether you are passing or receiving, never slack off, because life is always at 110%, and when we let our guard down is when life "manhandles" us.
Guest speaker Keith Harms challenges believers by reminding us that coming to church and growing our faith is only half of the process. The word tells us that not only are we to grow in our understanding of the Lord, but we are also to go and spread His love in this dark world.
Pastor Matt takes us to several stories of people who put their faith in Jesus. Some of them He commended for their great faith; 0thers, not so much. But even in the little faith, Jesus still worked the miracle! Pastor Matt assures us that it isn't how great the faith we have is, it's whether or not we choose to exercise our faith. When we do, our little faith will grow.
We believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins, But do we believe Him to be the sea splitting, mountain moving, life bringing provider we see in His Word? We all have needs, some of them more miraculous than others, but do we have the faith to bring our needs to God and believe that He will provide?
As christians, we are often called believers because we believe that Jesus Christ came and died for our sins, but do we believe that His word is true, and that He can and will fulfill the promises He makes in our lives? Pastor Matt challenges us to believe that God can and will do miraculous things in our lives today.
Paul had a crazy turn of events when he was blinded on the road to Damascus. He went from the one persecuting Christians for believing and spreading the gospel, to spreading the gospel and being persecuted! Though he did have a rough start, the Bible tells us that there was a season of persecution, and a season of peace. Pastor Matt encourages us to know that we will have troubles. but the Lord also promised us peace.
Pastor Matt takes us to the conversion of Paul in the New Testament to remind us of something as we enter a new year. There are two key people in this event, Paul and Annanias. The Lord gave both of them a very important instruction. He told them to get up and go, and they did. This year we need to get up and go do whatever it is the Lord has placed on our hearts.
We celebrate Christmas this year by reminding the church that Christ is coming again, and that God had you in mind when that precious baby was born to give His life so that you can have a relationship with God.
The King came to this world 2000 years ago, in a manger, welcomed by humble shepherds and wisemen. The word tells us that he is coming again soon. will you be ready when he returns?
The Holy Spirit is God's gift to us, and it is here to help us, grow us, edify us and guide us through this life. Guest speaker Brian Harris reminds us not to harden our hearts when the Spirit starts to speak into our lives. The spirit only wants to bring us closer to the Father and strengthen us as believers.
Did you build your house on the sand, or is your house still standing when the storms of life hit? Having a life built on Christ isn't going to stop the storm from coming or even battering your home, but it will stay standing no matter what comes your way.
Often times when we pray, we pray that God will do something for us, and we may even believe He will! Though God can eventually answer our prayers, He is also capable of doing it right now. He also never leaves us, so even when we think we are alone, or far off from God, He is near. We just need to believe that He is capable, willing, and true.
"The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences." Proverbs 18:21 NLT. Pastor Matt explains how what we choose to say can greatly effect how our life goes, and reminds us that serving God is a black and white thing. We have to choose to serve Him and speak life into our lives and the lives of those around us.
Many of us live our lives walking bound when "he who the Son set free is free indeed." Pastor Matt reminds us that freedom is a gift that was given to us when we chose to walk with Christ, we just have to choose to walk in it.
Letting your light shine doesn't always mean going half way across the ocean to minister to people in need. It also doesn't mean that you need to preach to everyone you come in contact with. Guest speaker John Coehler reminds us that how we live our life should be a reflection of our relationship with Christ.
Sometimes we make bad decisions, or end up in situations that are really bad. Some of us even have bad starts to life and are trying to make it out of impossible situations. Pastor Matt encourages us by reminding us that God can bring us out on top in situations where we "shouldn't have."
To get somewhere new, we have to leave behind where we once were, but we don't always get to where we want to be as quickly as we thought we would. Pastor Matt talks about life between where we were and where we want to be. He reminds us that it takes faith to press through, and that the reward on the other side is always worth the "Between."
Pastor Matt continues to walk through the differences between a visitor and a resident and shows us that more than anything the Lord wants to enter our lives and reside and help us through life. It is up to us to let Him in.
What is the difference between a visitor and a resident? Pastor Matt gives us examples of times when the Lord visited, but reminds us that ultimately the Lord want to reside within us
In the book of Joshua, the Israelites shouted and the walls of Jericho came tumbling down. Pastor Matt reminds us that before that shout ever come, they marched for six days! They didn't see the wall fall for six days, but they were right where God wanted them the whole time.
When we're hungry for the Lord, what do we do? In the book of Matthew, a crowd of people ran around a lake to get to Him! Pastor Matt shows us that when we're really hungry, we will do whatever it takes to get to Jesus. While we're there, God will give us an abundance, then we get to decide if we keep it, or pour into the lives of those around us.
With an upcoming baptism service, Pastor Matt takes the time to explain what baptism is biblically and what it should signify in our lives
Guest speaker Keith Harms reminds us that in our walk with the Lord we need to focus on, well, the Lord! Keith talks about the rivers of living water that the Lord wants flowing out of our lives. Sometimes we dam those rivers up because we think that for this river to flow in our life we need to give something up, and we do, but God always returns something better! All we need to do is focus on the source.
Pastor Matt Snyder takes us back to the book of Joshua where the Israelites went on the offensive against the city of Jericho, and there Lord gave them the victory! He reminds us that we as children of God shouldn't be playing defense against the enemy, but that the Lord has gifted us with a "Shout!" to storm the gates of hell, knowing that because God is on our side, they will not prevail.
Guest speaker Josh Harris takes us back to the book of Acts where many great and marvelous miracles happened, and questions why we don't see these things happen. He assures us that these wonderful things aren't a thing of the past and presents us with several reasons why we personally might not be seeing them in our lives, with the most important of therm being the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.
Guest speaker Brian Harris reminds us that Jesus came to free us from the sin revealed in the Old Testament law by providing grace and transformation when we believe in Him. We should stop trying to change our lives by trying harder and following rules, and instead live our lives in Gods grace.
Pastor Matt Snyder challenges us to take a look at our lives and see how maybe we ourselves are the ones blocking our blessings. He encourages us to turn back to the Lord and follow His way to walk into the blessed life God has for us.
the Bible says that God works all things together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose. That doesn't always mean that everything is going to be good. Pastor Matt shows us in scripture that even when things don't look the best, God is still working in our lives.
