This is the last episode in the special series recorded at Beartooth Christian Camp's family camp.
This final session covers Hebrews 12:7-13 in which we learn that if we are true children of God, then will receive discipline from God our Father.
To introduce the lesson, Pastor Rory's wife Jen summarizes part of the story, "Hinds Feet for High Places, " by Hannah Hubbard. The main character in this story is called Much Afraid and is a member of the Fearing family. As she travels to the high places with the Good Shepherd and her companions Sorrow and Suffering, she is transformed and given a new name, a new perspective and a mission.

This sermon covers the topic of resolving conflict from a Biblical perspective. Pastor Rory focuses in on John 1:14, but also used this lesson to introduce a Bible study the families attending conducted on Hebrews 12:7-13.

In these chapters we are reminded to live out our lives with an eternal perspective.
As we study these passages we should stop and examine our life and ask ourselves these important questions.
Are you in a right relationship with God? Do you know that when this day of judgement comes, when your body is resurrected and you stand before the King, can you say, I have placed my faith in your son Jesus? Do you have that confidence?
This week on Pastor Rory's Podcast, Pastor Rory is teaching on Revelation chapter 13.
An overarching theme in Revelations is worship. In all the descriptions of God, it inspires worship.
Another theme in Revelations is the contrast between God and false gods.
Revelations 13 reveals that human government is a false savior. Human government is a vehicle of persecution, and human government will be conquered by Jesus.
This week on Pastor Rory's Podcast, Pastor Rory is preaching from Revelations 12.
This passage has a lot of vivid imagery. One reason Revelations is so hard to read and understand is because it has a lot of visions that can be abstract. These images spoke to something relevant to the listeners at the time it was written, and also has something that is true for us today.
In this passage we see that God is going to protect hispeople. That though the dragon (satan) is waging war on and raging against the people of God. God will provide and protect His people. God is in control.
The devil is actively seeking to destroy you and your life,but we can triumph over him by the blood of The Lamb.
In this podcast Pastor Rory teaches on Revelation Chapter 6. In this passage Pastor Rory addresses two themes:
God will judge throughout history and at the end of time.
Jesus will come for His people throughout history and at the end of time.
In this episode Pastor Rory will be preaching on Revelation chapter 2. This sermon discusses the messages to the first two churches. Jesus is speaking to John, who is passing along His words to the churches. The first church has a mix of commendation and rebuke. The second church only receives commendation. The second church was being persecuted and losing their lives for the sake of Jesus' name. There is no rebuke for these suffering Christians. Their suffering had helped keep them pure in faith and life. When following Jesus is costly, it forces you to decide if you are going to make him #1 and your treasure, or if you are going to walk away.
God can refine us through suffering and develop a heart of love and a passion for Him.
In this episode Pastor Rory starts the summer series on the book of Revelation. This sermon covers Revelation chapter one. It also lays out three rules we use when studying the Bible. These rules apply to every book of the Bible but are especially good to review before we start our adventure through Revelation.
In this episode of Pastor Rory focuses on the concept of encouragement and the Holy Spirit. This is the last sermon on the book of Acts. This is a much shorter sermon than normal, since this was also our VBS kick off. Darcy Ready from WEBE Kings Kids gave the first teaching presentation of our Vacation Bible School. In this episode, Pastor Rory launches from Acts 19 to the book of Ephesians. In Acts 19 Paul goes to Ephesus, where the church faced many challenges. Pastor Rory references the observations of Chinese missionary Watchman Nee, who wrote a book called "Sit, Walk, Stand," based on the message of Ephesians. Listen in to find out more.
In this episode Pastor Rory will be preaching on Acts 17. In this chapter Paul and his fellow companions travel to three different cities. The response to the message that Jesus is the Messiah was received very differently. Listen in to hear the story and find out what we can learn from Paul's example of reasoning with the scripture.
In this episode Pastor Rory preached on Acts 15:36-41. This passage outlines a disagreement between Paul, Barnabas and Mark. The Bible is clear that even in the church, even with the Holy Spirit Christians don't always get along.
Rather than turning on one another and attacking one another's character, it's okay to part ways.
Through their conflict, two mission trips were accomplished, and the gospel message spread farther.
They agreed on their calling and purpose but disagreed on how to accomplish it at that time.
Since they didn't turn their disagreement into a vicious personal attack, we see that in the end, all the men involved were reconciled and continued to work together.
In this episode Pastor Rory kicks off the study of the second half of Acts. In Acts 11 to 14, we see how Paul begins his life as a missionary. We can see from hearing about his story that God uses adversity, conflict and unfortunate events to spread the Gospel across the globe.
On this episode Pastor Rory preaches on Galatians 5:6. In this passage Paul settles an argument between believers in Galatia. Modern Christians can learn a lot from this argument today, it helps explain what it means to be a Christian.

On today's Podcast, Pastor Rory gave a short but sweet message from Galatians 2:20.
Today's message correlates to communion Sunday. The message was meant to prepare hearts to eat bread, and drink grape juice to remember Jesus' sacrifice for us.
"I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." Galatians 2:20.
On this episode Pastor Rory preaches on Luke 24 about the Resurrection of Jesus and if we truly believe that Jesus died and came back to life, then it would change every aspect of our life.
