In this introduction, we talk about the goals of the bAASement, AASWG's purpose and work, Asian American Studies at Duke right now, what it's been like in the past, and where we're going from here.
Through biweekly segments, we’ll have the chance to get to know and hear from faculty, staff, and alumni that are part of our movement and the Duke Asian American Diaspora Studies Program. We’ll also speak with other Duke identity organizations and national ethnic studies groups about best practices to organize for Asian American Studies and a larger Ethnic Studies department at Duke and beyond.
