“Filled with dreams the size of Texas one day and feelings of unworthiness the next; she overcame being different just to end up becoming a perfectionist which would then lead her into addiction. But she always believed in God and after a powerful encounter with the Holy Spirit she fought through to sobriety. She’s more than a success story. She’s a powerful, trusting, and authentic God-filled F50Woman.”

We Talk About…

  • Deafness and the results of being different
  • 5 Practices to finding joy in imperfection
  • Red flag moments
  • The influence of faulty belief systems
  • The principal of transparency
  • Powerful, life-shifting listening
  • Being intentional
  • MK’s course for leaders

Quotes She Served Up:

“Life is a series of highs and lows”

“Be the kind of listener that can shift the planet, that can change the world”

“Girl, you are already victorious”

“Excellence draws out the excellence in us”

“Are you willing to be the kink in the hose of fear”

“What we practice we become”

What Changed Everything: Encounter with the Holy Spirit

Question for You: Who are your core 5?

Advice for Her Younger Self: Believe in yourself. You are worthy. It’s okay to be imperfect. Make good decisions based on knowing you don’t have to be perfect to be accepted by others.

Why evil spreads faster than Love: Evil has a tendency of spreading because we haven’t mastered the basics… we live in a world that empowers us to tell lies to each other.

And after practicing for years as an attorney, Marcia Ledford, in her late 40s finally answered God's call. "Society puts women in buckets. We start off young and desirable, then we turn into a nurturers’, but in the end, we labeled Elder-Woman, which in our society means old, worn, and done. "From quirky skinny little girl to C-Suite Executive, some women make the journey look easy and smooth. But no matter how smooth a woman makes it look, challenges always present themselves. But, there are just some women who consciously fall in and out of challenges, making the shift from one life phase to the other look like a well-rehearsed ballet. She is a self-proclaimed “Entraprenista,” on the edge of another smooth life transition, preparing for whatever surprises may come, mindful and aware. Today’s chat is with Carla Tillery, another F50Woman."

We Talk About:

· Roles we serve -versus- who you are as a woman…

· Weaving your life intentionally….

· A “planner’s” life tools…

· Why we should master the art of saying “no”…

· AND, Our bodies…

Quotes She Served Up:

“We have the ability to create the life we want; to stop and pivot when we need to”

“Being who you are designed to be takes a lot of strength and courage”

“Trust who are on the inside, (in order) to allow you to become who you want to become”

“I want to be a contagion for Love”

Why does evil spread faster than love:

We do not need to teach a 2-year-old how to deceive or to lie. Kids naturally want the toy for themselves, and don’t want to share, and fight over that toy. Some things are in our nature. We are born with it. And, we as parents work so hard to teach our kids the opposite of what is natural to us, teaching and training our kids to do what is good. Love, however, is still more powerful. That’s why we struggle so hard to bring it into the world.

"Some women start off following the rules, trying to walk the straight line, while working to keep everyone else in check according to their standards. Until that pattern is interrupted by God and they are given life circumstances that teach them they may not know everything. It is then that they learn lessons about themselves that shift their minds and their behaviors. Bring yourself to the table with an open mind for today’s chat with another F50Woman."

What you will learn in this chat:

· How self-righteousness can hide

· Choose what is going to rule you

· The difference between compassion and kindness

· How to love yourself without being totally obsessed with self-preservation

· The importance of honesty

· Where the spiral of hate comes from

· How to accept people for who they are

Quotes:

“Without compassion we will not fully understand forgiveness”

“Compassion is the essence of Love”

“Jesus commands us to love ourselves”

“It’s not self-not, its self-less”

“Appreciate people for what they bring to the table”

“Let them be who they are and not who I think they should be”

“Be Pliable”

Why does evil spread faster than love:

Yes, it evil spreads faster. It’s easier because we are selfish people, and we are all about conserving self. Its harder to show compassion especially when someone does not deserve it. Hate is easier.

"We were born in the 60’s, children of the boss lady age, we became victims of the lie that a power suit and a corner office will fulfill us. But some women are self-starters. They have gone against the norm, pivoted in their career multiple times. Now they are able to find peace as they look forward to aging on vacation, relaxation and grandchildren. She is no longer bound by the pursuit of the power position, the promise of diets, or the allure of alcohol. This is today’s story. This is another F50Woman."

What you will learn in this chat:

· How being the youngest in your grade can affect your life

· Differences in perspective

· The importance of aligning your work with your personality

· Aligning your work with your personality

· Qualities that get you continually promoted

· The power of knowing what you want for yourself

· When it’s time for a new job

· Why we need to teach each other be nice

· Why mass shootings?

· What to do to “have a better day”

Quotes:

“You can’t shrink down to other people. …because if you do you’ll never go anywhere”

“You don’t have to try to fit in with a group”

“I don’t need to be a certain person for anybody anymore”

“Life begins at the end of your comfort zone”

“A lot of people call me ‘get a job, quit a job… You don’t have to stay in a job that’s miserable’”

“Take care of your body because it’s the only one you have. …Be picky with what you put in your mouth”

“We are enough”

Why does evil spread faster than love:

I think hate does spread faster than love because there are a lot of people hurt in the world and it is easier for hatful people to pick up hurt people. And some people with a weak constitution are susceptible to the hate because the hate is louder.

Donna Keller-Savage

"We as women start off life happy, innocent, and loved. But after a brush with deceit and hurt, at the hands of a man, we lose ourselves. But somehow, some women, find something that gives them purpose and ultimate power over the evil that tries to consume their self-worth and they come back to themselves to live in continual thankfulness. This is our episode today. This is another F50Woman."

What you will learn in this chat:

· How to be optimistic

· The power of changing need with want

· What inspired her to take her voice back

· That not knowing the exact next steps is okay

· What a “shoulder tap” is and why it’s important

· The power of the present moment

· How to care for a parent and be an entrepreneur

· How to get excited about wine

“Replace need with want”

“One day I want you to meet me”

“My boys see a mama with so much self-worth”

“Live large every single day”

“Every single person has a first day at work… when you don’t know what you’re doing…”

Why does evil spread faster than love: Evil does not spread faster than love. Love spreads way faster deeper and stronger than evil. I lived with evil, and evil is isolated. That evil just made our love stronger... “Love is like potential, you cannot measure it with a ruler, a bucket or a scale.”
