Mental wellbeing can be described as a combination of how we feel (our emotions and life satisfaction) and how we function (relationships with others, personal control, purpose in life and independence). It is something that affects everyone, old and young, and anyone can experience good or poor mental wellbeing. This podcast episode is the first in a whole mental health series and is mainly looking to debunk and break down some common mental health terminology to set you up in good stead for the upcoming episodes

What really is a problem?

The Chambers’ 20th Century Dictionary states that, “A problem is a matter difficult of settlement or solution” In true legend style, the bible comes in and reassures us in Phillipines 4:6 with,

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God”

Either way we all acknowledge that problems are a part of life and in one way or another, whether we use common sense, a Ouija board or the good old Bible, we all at one point or another seek to solve the problems of our life.

If you click the link in the bio, you will be pleased to find that @bitzs_n_bobzs_podcast has released a brand new episode where we seek to debunk all the mysteries surrounding the quest to solve the problems of our lives.

As usual, all feedback is welcome and if you can please do leave a review on whatever platform you listen from.

You can only learn from a mistake after you admit you’ve made it. As soon as you start blaming other people (or the universe itself) you distance yourself from any possible lesson. But if you courageously stand up and honestly say “This is my mistake and I am responsible” the possibilities for learning will move towards you. Admission of a mistake, even if only privately to yourself, makes learning possible by moving the focus away from blame assignment and towards understanding. Wise people admit their mistakes easily. They know progress accelerates when they do. This is the holy grail of growth. https://music.apple.com/gb/album/thankful-feat-lil-wayne-jeremih/1565443380?i=1565443630

Yup. Your whole life depends on this. Nothing like going through life like a dead fish swimming with a stream. This is what this episode is about-following your gut and dreams no matter what people say. Paul Coelho succintly put it as ‘discovering your personal legend’. Open up to yourself, discover your talents, take and RUN with them! This will come with it a lot of change but remember, growth is waaayyy on the other side of your comfort zone. Just do it ✅

If you want to be loved, it starts with you. Others notice how we treat ourselves. Self-respect, giving ourselves permission to rest, and developing a positive image of ourselves are all forms of self-care. Make yourself a priority so you can be there for others and you can start by giving yourself all the love you give to others ♥️

Practicing self-love and self-care can seem extravagant—especially when we feel like our jobs are beating us down, the pandemic is weighing heavily on us, or we’re not doing enough for the kids or our houses are a mess having to homeschool in some cases while juggling work. But as Meghan Markle once wrote: “You need to know that you’re enough. You are complete with or without a partner. You are enough just as you are.” Self Love is sanity. Esp now. Texting,’ I’m going to be half an hour late’ is not nearly acceptable as putting in the effort to actually make it in time. However, we all know that life sometimes happens, whether we want it to or not therefore it is only polite to give people due heads up. These, and a few other rules are more relevant than ever in this fast world we live in and this episode of Bits N Bobs seeks to highlight a few basic rules so you never present yourself as a first class heel. And please, whatever you do, do not ever like and social media status about death or bad news( you would think this common sense right?!). Folks, I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I enjoyed researching and compiling it.
