with the 63rd grammy awards being on sunday, we were able to celebrate music, a force that kept us going throughout the past year of confinement. although a time of celebrating excellence in the music industry, it’s important to highlight those who weren’t adequately or fairly represented in the grammys. obvious race and ethnic disparities are seen through the nomination process. can we celebrate the success of our favorite musicians while also acknowledging the steps needed to be taken for true inclusivity and reflection to who makes music today? on this week’s episode, we discuss inequity in the awards show and what can be done to mend these faults.
