Directly out of high school, at 17 years old, Laura started in college and promptly flunked out. As a single mother of 2 she returned to work on her prerequisites for dental hygiene. Once these were completed, she was accepted into the Weber State Dental Hygiene program on a full tuition waiver scholarship. In her junior year she was invited to join the Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society. As a senior student she served as the SADHA Senior Class Representative and graduated with the Outstanding Student Award and was elected to the Sigma Phi Alpha. As a senior student, I was part of a research group that presented at the ADHA Poster session. She is the first person in my family on both sides to graduate from college.

After working as a clinical hygienist in private practice the opportunity to work in DH education came by way of a great friend in 2009. Since then she has been with the Utah College of Dental Hygiene in Orem, UT and am currently the director of the program. She loves being with her people everyday. Since 2004 she has served for the Utah Dental Hygienists' Association in several capacities including President, Treasurer, and Delegate Chair. She also has served as a co-chair of the Utah oral Health coalition.

She has the most supportive husband, 2 girls that have become beautiful women bringing their husbands into her family, 3 delightful grandchildren, and an amazing family that is all across the US.

Amanda Zubricki, RDH, BS, graduated from Towson University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. After graduating, she spent several years working with special needs children. Amanda later returned to school to pursue a degree in dental hygiene at Northern Virginia Community College. She became a licensed dental hygienist in 2017 and has been practicing as a clinical dental hygienist ever since. She currently holds dual licenses in Virginia and Texas. Amanda was born profoundly deaf, but has never let it get her way!

Amanda is a mom to three beautiful girls, including twins. I’m a mom of 3 girls, including twins. One twin has hearing loss and the other two girls were born with a birth defect called Omphalocele. Amanda started a nonprofit called That Deaf RDH with a vision to ensure every deaf or hard-of-hearing person has the financial and community support they need to achieve their goal of becoming a dental hygienist. Outside of work and “mom-ing,” she enjoys developing and sharing content for her blog, That Deaf Girl (https://thatdeafgirl.com), advocating for inclusion in the general public and workforce on social media, and inspiring individuals alike.

Chanci is an Arizona native and has served in the field of dentistry since 2003. She started out as a dental assistant while doing her prerequisite courses for dental hygiene school. She graduated from Weber State University with honors in 2008. After working in private practice full time for six years she started teaching at the Utah College of Dental Hygiene in 2014. She has since received her Masters Degree in Education and continues to teach both clinical and didactic courses.

Chanci served in SADHA, on the component level, and became the Treasurer and Alternate Delegate for UDHA in 2019. She loves dental hygiene and is excited for the opportunity to serve her fellow colleagues in their shared career.

When Chanci isn't busy with dental hygiene she is probably on some grand adventure with her husband and their four boys or reading a good book.

Whitney is a dental hygienist who is known as the "Teeth Talk Girl" on social media. Whitney’s journey of spreading dental health awareness began on the YouTube platform — where she started creating toothy videos for the general public.

Now with two audiences (the general public and dental professionals), she creates two videos each week on YouTube, in addition to sharing educational content on her website (teethtalkgirl.com).
