Welcome to the Allegory of Spots podcast series. You may be wondering, what is a Spot; does it apply to me; am I spotted; and more importantly, how exactly do you remove a Spot.
This podcast series will teach you how to identify truth, remember love, and how to rid yourself of bad habits and behaviors that are hindering your progression mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically.
Why Spots? Because removing ones Spots is how we fight this; how we push back the evils of our day, and how we become accountable for our actions, thus opening the door to allow greater light to come into our lives.
Every person matters for the worth of a soul is great; everyone is important. Join our Podcast series as we teach you what a Spot is, how to remove them and how to remain un-Spotted.
Whether the Spot or sin is great or small it doesn’t matter, it is a Spot none-the-less; and we should want to remove it, the same as if our favorite outfit had a giant smudge on the front of it. After all aren’t we more valuable than our clothes that go out of style? As you learn how to recognize and remove your Spots, you take on a new position of helping others to navigate situations or obstacles which they would not normally be able to do. You in turn have become guides of truth and light. You are now a guide to others.
You will be judged by every single thing you’ve done upon this earth. Which is why, if you don’t remove your spots, you will judged by everything you’re holding onto and you will get to both feel and carry the full weight of your own spots or sins. Follow the examples given throughout the Podcast on how to remove your spots. Cast them off so you don’t have to suffer further.
Have you ever judged, or have you ever felt that people have judged you? People judge others based on false understandings, false information, and by false truths. There are unrighteous judges across the land and they are filled with Spots. There is a reason there is only one righteous judge who can give judgement; who is Jesus Christ. Resist judging unrighteous.
A Selfish person is someone who does not love God or love their neighbor, and doesn’t even love themselves. Selfishness is being concerned excessively for oneself or one's own advantage, pleasure, or welfare, regardless of others. Selfishness is the opposite of selflessness. Nobody in this world is more important than anybody else. You may think you are….but then wouldn’t that be selfish?
Mental health: what you think is how you feel; think positive and you’ll feel positive. Emotional health: the best way to stay emotionally healthy is by communication; with a spouse, parent, child, friends, and especially communication with God. Physical health: exercise regularly; practice moderation with your food and drink intake; your body will follow your spirit, so feed your spirit what you want to become. Spiritual health: Jesus Christ can help us; the Atonement works in all areas of health.
When we know what we should do, and want to do the right thing and then we flip and find ourselves doing the opposite of what we know is right; that behavior is unstable and double minded. Doing the opposite of what we know we should do is allowing ourselves to be tempted. Become someone that can be trusted; someone that is stable in all ways!
What does Vanity make you think of? Perhaps someone who is obsessed with how they look. With vanity you will find excessive pride, in, or admiration of one’s own appearance or achievements. You become consumed in something, anything, other than loving the Lord. Have you ever reflected on why Jesus Christ often referenced becoming as a little child? The key to removing vanity is humility.
Have you ever considered the impact of the phrase: “If you don't have something nice to say then don’t say it at all.” When did swearing and cutting people down become okay in society? The answer is, when society started to except false truths for themselves. Consider the scripture found in Ephesians 4:29: Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
Have you ever heard the saying, your secret is safe with me, it’s just the people I tell that are the problem. Well, secrets are a problem! Are there secrets you are trying to keep and live in? Would you like to stop the madness of that behavior and change to living in a world of truth and being honest? You can remove the spot of secrets and unburden your life.
Truth = belief accepted as true Shall = inevitable, it will be Set = into a specified state or place You = to do the will of God Free = free from the grasp of the adversary Truth will keep you free from the grasp of the adversary and in alignment with God. And you will be free.
Whoever is unrighteous will rule by an unrighteous hand. This could be a spouse, an employer, or others. Little children know when their “free agency” is being trampled by another who wants to be in charge and as adults we know this too, and we don’t like it when someone is trying to control us. Unrighteous dominion includes acting harshly towards another; this includes verbal or physical abuse. The person acting this way does so out of gratification of pride, acclaim or vain ambition. Unrighteous dominion emphasizes tasks and agendas over human relationships and it fails to honor the God given right of moral agency or free agency given by God to Men and Women. The opposite of exercising unrighteous dominion is persuading by long suffering, gentleness, meekness and kindness.
What if someone came and told you that all your debt was paid in full, what would you do? You’d probably shout for joy and be so excited. What if I told you this did happen to you, and you did shout for joy? You would probably say, when, and how? Jesus Christ’s atonement made it possible for us to return to the presence of God. However, Lucifer wants us for himself and he will do anything to steal us away from our divine destiny. He has no intention of going without. He is continuously working to steal our virtue, our soul and our body.
Most people associate being poor with a lack of money. Did you also realize, you could also be poor spiritually in belief, mentally in understanding, and even emotionally poor. If you’re not trying to progress, you are poor. How do you become “not poor”? First = understand Second = movement (or move) As the scripture says, “faith without works is dead”. Start moving!
What is endurance. And why does the term suffering accompany the word endurance? We hear the term endurance used often in many analogies especially sports. Endurance is the capacity of something to last or withstand wear and tear. When you replace the word "something" with "atonement", then endurance is the capacity of the atonement to last or to withstand wear and tear. We are making the atonement last by casting off the burdens we are carrying.
Traditions, traditions, without our traditions our lives would be as shaky as a fiddler on a roof.” Isn’t that imagery spectacular? Do you feel grounded with your traditions or not? A tradition may be false, foolish, or follow a father’s traditions. They may cause you to stop in place with no movement forward; you literally become chained to them. Then there are some which last for centuries because truth allows these traditions to continue. Sift through your traditions and sift through the truth so that you arrive at pure truth, not something that is false or foolish.
A pre-conceived opinion, which is not based on reason or actual experience, but one that causes harm or injury from some action of a judgment we might have. When we hold these types of opinions, we tend to withhold from others. Even where there is one person that goes without, there will be found prejudice.
The wise man built his house upon the rock and the foolish man built his house upon the sand. Don’t be offended easily, but stand on holy ground. Be the wise man and not the fool.
This is both a spot and an understanding. It is a spot because money can be taken and used for the gratification and pleasure of man. Do you have a love of money and a mentality of getting rich, as in rich in the standard of the world. Or, are you seeking to get rich in God? There is a difference. Have you laid up in store for God or for yourself?
Have you ever thought that there could be a sin of omission, or a sin for doing nothing? Omission means left out, omitted or excluded. If you feel “stuck” where you are in your life; if things don’t seem to change in your life; if you are not trying to progress, then identify things in your life you need to clean out and move forward on. Or else you will get what you worked for. The changes that you begin to make will have an impact on you mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically.
What is it to be spoiled? To impair or destroy the quality or value of something; To strip or deprive; Not pleasant or acceptable. When we neglect to give thanks to God, we are spoiling or diminishing the blessing which God has given us.
To Testify or give testimony is giving evidence as a witness. The way you live your life is who you are, testifying of who you follow; So, you are standing as a witness. Who and what are you witnessing of?
It is easy to see how this is a spot. The very definition tells us of someone who says flattering things that may be intended to deceive or to get gain above another whether mentally, emotionally, spiritually or physically. This is the avowed purpose of the father of all lies, to deceive. In fact, as with all spots, this is the purpose of the adversary, to gain control over you. Always remember that God’s purpose is to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man.
What are some attributes of service? Gratitude, love, understanding, compassion, patience, kindness, selflessness. Service comes in so many shapes and sizes. Sometimes expected and most of the time when you’re not looking. Open your eyes, and especially open your heart so you’ll see and know when an opportunity to serve stands before you.
If there is no peace in it, it is not of God. How do you leave the chaos, the violence, and wild disorder of rioting behind? You point yourself toward God and in it you will also find peace.
There is a certain allure about going out and having fun. Remember the scripture found in 1 Peter 5:8: Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about , seeking whom he may devour. And devour he does; mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically. He doesn’t hold back and he doesn’t care about the carnage left behind. If you are not 100% aligned with Jesus Christ, don’t even go to the party.
Disease and sickness are constant and everywhere in this world. It is a part of our mortality. Any form of suffering never comes of God, be it physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. Sickness and affliction come from being spotted, and these spots come from opposition which lead directly back to Satan. Removal of these varied spots will help us become stronger in all of the ways of health.
Immoral acts are when a person makes no attempt to curb self-indulgence or when a person purposefully or willingly desecrates God. Immoral behavior will separate you from God. So, if what you are doing is not right, do not do it. If it is not true, do not say it. Immorality is when you turn to the world and not to God when you know he lives.
Have you heard these words before, or better yet, have you ever used them on others: I am better than you! If I can do it why can’t you, so I’m not giving you anything. Every single time a people or nation has fallen, it is because of pride. Did you also know, where courage is, pride cannot exist?
We all suffer from it; wishing we had what someone else has. Or maybe it’s passing someone in need and not stopping to help or to be compassionate. It is manifest in many different ways. So, what is the opposite of jealousy and envy and how does one overcome this Spot? You overcome it through empathy and by loving your neighbor.
Remember, if you stop moving forward and closer to God, or if you neglect any part of yourself, you are actually neglecting God and yourself. • Cast off the Spot of neglect by starting your day with Jesus Christ. • Start with prayer; open the scriptures and read, if only a few verses Keep Jesus Christ centered in your life. And when you do these things, no matter how hard your day, you are still moving forward and you will feel light come into your life.
A hard heart is softened as a person humbles themselves. When you begin to put the welfare of others above your own, you begin to change.
Revenge is about inflicting harm or getting gain be it mentally, emotionally, spiritually or physically. You remove this spot by doing good to all men. When we are wronged, we have to remember that we were never given the “judgement card”; there is only one judge and that is Jesus Christ; it is only him that will judge each person.
Guile isn’t a word you hear much anymore. Do you even know what it means? It is insidious, or cunning in attaining a goal; crafty or artful deception. Who does this sound like to you? It is the adversary. The adversary’s purpose is to take from you your free agency. Don’t let yourself be found trying to take from others their free agency through the trappings of guile. But instead live your life with integrity, kindness and compassion. This will replace guile if you’re found with it in your lives.
When God created men and women, he did this so they could be "help-meets" to each other; to equally carry each other’s burdens so that they may be light. Have you ever heard the term “equally yoked”? Like two oxen yoked together, the combined strength of both give them the power to manage the difficult tasks, which if tried alone, they would not succeed.
We most often associate the term murder with physical death. But murder can be mental, emotional, spiritual or even physical. Think of it closer to home with your own life. When you don’t take care of yourself, you are in all actuality murdering yourself, or by definition, you are spoiling yourself.
Have you ever engaged in idle talk about the affairs of others, revealing personal or sensational thoughts about another; quite possibly discussing details you’ve not confirmed? Gossip is 99% truth and 1% false. The problem is that you end up holding onto the 1% false and don’t behold the 99% truth. Don’t let the adversary fool you into holding onto the wrong thing. Bridle or restrain your desire to fall into this trap, of accepting and holding onto falsehoods, and cast off the false through repentance. You will feel a weight lifted from your shoulders as you do.
There is a higher and lower understanding of fighting. The lower understanding is that of wanting to hurt someone. The higher understanding takes you above the desire to hurt or abuse others and leads you to ask, how can I understand another. You are not fighting the adversary, but God is. God will never leave us, but it is us who leave him. The way back to God is through repentance, this is his plan, so put your life back right with God.
If you are feeding your flesh in any way, then that is not of God. When you do, you place yourself under the power of the adversary or Satan. If you don’t repent and remove your spots, then you are building walls around you which will ultimately become your own prison, to which you will become bound to, one brick at a time. Jesus Christ prepared the way. Who are you going to follow?
Temptation defined Biblically is a situation in which one experiences a challenge to choose between fidelity and infidelity to one’s obligations toward God. God does not tempt us, but the adversary does - physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. We need to conquer temptation first mentally, before we can conquer the others, or we will slip. This goes for any addiction – first you have to overcome mentally. Likewise, the adversary first has to tempt you mentally – in order to conquer you physically. Knowing that God lives will give you the strength to overcome temptation.
Those that lust after things are fools. Lusts and sensual are black holes and you will never be able to satisfy them. Just remember, God is greater than a black hole. Believe in God and you will be spit out of the black hole. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. So, who or what do you treasure? Is it Jesus Christ?
Mockers are also called “scoffers” in Scripture; they defy and renounce truth and good things, not only to their own detriment and destruction, but to that of others. They are provokers of others to wrong, strife, and evil. Don’t take for granted the atonement of Jesus Christ. For it will be to your own detriment.
You may be thinking right off, how could respect be a spot or some kind of a sin? Now, here is where the respect issue comes in for all of us. If God doesn’t respect or esteem one nation, or country, or people, or person over another, then we shouldn’t either. When we do, we become stained with this spot.
There is a great example of idolatry in the Old Testament. Do you remember the story of the golden calf which was worshiped by the children of Israel while they were waiting for Moses to come down from Mt. Sinai with the Ten Commandments. While Moses was receiving the commandments, the Israelites were “breaking” a commandment by worshipping a golden calf. Let go of the things that are taking you away from God, and you will remove this spot of idolatry.
God is not fear and fear is not of God. Men fear because they are in sin and have not prepared. Replace fear with knowing. Knowing that God lives. When you are aligned with God, there is nothing to fear.
If this is one of your spots, if you have put too much emphasis on appearance and fashion, or no emphasis at all, consider the second great commandment to love thy neighbor as you love yourself. Stop the behavior of spending so much time, money and effort on yourself; let others alone with your judging and criticisms; for these things are not of God.
If you are trying to get gain in any sort of way over anyone, in any sort of way, it is not of God. The declaration of independence states; “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." You don’t use people; you love them even when they are hard to like; you always love them.
What do you think when there’s nothing to think about; what do you do when there’s nothing to do; because what you think about, is what’s really you. Who you want to be is who you will become. What you watch is what you become.
You can both earn and command respect, but you cannot demand it. Love one another as God loves you.
Being doubleminded is serving two masters. This occurs when you don’t know who you are or who you want to follow. This indecision allows evil spirits to enter in. No man can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will hold to the one and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and Mammon (Matthew 6:24). Decide now who you stand with and choose to stand for Jesus Christ.
The more you come to remember, the more you’ll want to repent. For repentance actually means atonement, or "at-one-ment." This means being at one with God. Repentance is about bringing you back into alignment with God so you can be at one with him.
Being clean applies to being clean in body and mind; emotionally, spiritually and even verbally. The cleansing power of repentance is how you prepare to become Spotless before God.
Can truth be 99% and still be true? Is a big lie worse than a little lie? Does it really matter what size a lie is? A lie is a lie! The more we do it, the easier it is to grow the lie and even add to it. Each lie ever told, is like a stepping stone towards even greater lies. Not telling the truth becomes so distorted in one’s heart and mind, a person can no longer remember what story they had told to anyone. One becomes a prisoner to the lies one has used. Don’t lie.
It is very powerful to remember. We are all celestial souls having an immortal experience. The purpose of the Spots Podcast is to help you remember who you are.
There are two parts to this Spot. The first relates to contending against God. When the holy spirit directs you to do one thing an you do something else, you are contending against God. The second relates to fighting but in a way you may not have recognized. We are literally fighting for God. Just remember, you can’t serve two masters; either you’ll hate the one and love the other or hold to the one and despise the other.
The teachings of truth are already within each of you. You just need to come to a remembrance of them. Don’t go back to the old ways, but stay on the true and narrow path. Don’t let the Spots of addictions or abusing things hold you back and hold you from the path. Food can be a drug; staying on your phone too long can be a drug; gossip can be a drug. Drugs are not just a substance. Anything that takes you out of alignment and brings you down to a lower understanding is not of God.
In a world that competes for your attention it's easy to get distracted. The word "anti" refers to being opposed to or against something. There are different levels of Anti-Christ’s. There are some that ignore, some that deny and some that preach against Christ. So what is an Anti-Christ? An Anti-Christ is anything that leads you away from Jesus Christ.
God does not use the word popular in his vocabulary. But there is someone who does, it is Lucifer. Lucifer comes by way of lusting and money; he is the God of lust. So what is the purpose of Popularity? It is to make someone feel less than they are; it is about secret combinations; it is to get gain.
We all have stumbling blocks in our lives in one way or another; circumstances that cause us difficulty or hesitation. How do we gain the determination and courage to go on – or is there a stumbling block that you cannot face? In the Bible, David used a pebble, not a boulder, to defeat Goliath. God is giving us the pebbles to defeat the Goliaths that stand before us.
In our own lives, many of us exaggerate as we tell of our experiences; our appetite for things are out of control; or we have inclinations to sit in front of something for far too long. The phrase too much of a good thing means that the quality of something is relative to its quantity. Even excellent things can seem terrible if they are used too frequently or exist in overabundance. Enough is enough and it always will be.
Since evil is so readily accessible, it follows that evil thoughts will enter into your minds if you let them. Just the thought of doing something wrong, any type of music that isn't good, or even lustful thinking, all fall under this category. So how do you counter those evil thoughts? Here's how. Slow down, take the time to meditate, think, and ponder on thoughts of love, peace and truth. These are the words to counter evil thoughts.
Through a refining process, gold and silver and other precious metals are put through a trial by fire. A refiner uses a fire to heat metals to a molten state effectively separating the metals from the impurities, which are then skimmed off as the dross floats to the top. Upon completion of the process, what remains is the purest of gold, silver or other precious metals. Likewise, God uses trials to expose our weaknesses. He brings out or exposes our impurities and our Spots, as he brings the dross to the surface to be cast off. It is these moments that we are actually being tried and proven worthy. Remember, God is always a giver of bread and never stone.
Pernicious = harmful ways Feigned words = simulated or pretended; insincere; to give a false appearance Covetousness = desire for others material goods This Spot is about wanting to get gain over someone else. Dishonesty and lying can take you so far and then make a fool of you. There are many people on this earth that are that foolish. Don’t be one of them.
Is your lantern at the ready? Is Jesus Christ your light and does it shine so bright as to help light the way for others? Do you have a little extra oil on hand in case the wait is longer than expected (referring to the parable of the ten virgins as spoken of in Matthew 25)? Don’t be the fool who knows who God is and yet denies him. You either know who God is or you don’t.
When you speak irreverently about God, or, if you say you believe in God and don’t keep his commandments, this is blaspheme. So start keeping his commandments.
The role of an Advocate is that of a teacher, a redeemer, or one that comes to help us progress. To Advocate for another is an action, on behalf of another, meant to regain someone’s favor. Jesus Christ is our Advocate with the Father. He is our redeemer. In other words, he is helping us regain favor with God.
The intention or desire to do evil, that is malice. It could even be as simple as a thought that something negative happens to another. It can be manifest mentally through manipulation, or spiritually in who you are desiring to follow. Malice can also be manifest emotionally and physically. Hand it over to God even if God decides to do nothing.
So you think you are wise. Does that mean you are an intellectual? To be wise in your own eyes is to be self-reliant and self-sufficient, refusing even God’s help. When we refuse God’s help we become the fool; this is what we are to learn from this. Rely upon God and he will give you line upon line, here a little there a little. God wants us to succeed in this life. Remember God, that he is real.
By holding onto grudges, resentment or bitterness, it is impossible to grow or move forward mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. When you hold a grudge, you have become separated from Jesus Christ. Pray for hearts to be softened, pray for the right words to say, pray for God to bless your effort to stop the sadness that separates you from another. Forgive and build the bridge to come back together.
Were you aware that you can literally chase darkness from you? You do this by being aligned with God in the things you do, the things you listen to and the people and places you associate with. Darkness comes with a lot of Spots. If you sit in it for too long, you will be consumed by it. You bring light into your lives by removing the darkness. That which is of God is light.
Wouldn’t you agree that is critical that we know for a certainty if someone is honest and true? So how do you discern if a person is genuine and not false; especially a person to whom we are looking for guidance and understanding. Opposition will always point you away from, never toward Christ; for example: I love Christ but I hate my brother. We can discern true or false teachers and leaders by the things they do and speak. Judge them by their fruits. They will always lead you to Jesus Christ.
We are living in the world where doing NOTHING is okay. I has become the norm. We have forgotten why we are truly here on this earth. Which is to love God and to love our neighbor as we love ourselves. Stop being idle; Stop doing nothing and not making good use of your time Start moving; Start caring; Start doing Start loving your neighbor as much as you love yourself
Have you ever had a canker sore? It eats away at your skin and can burrow deep making it hard to remove. Would you be surprised to know that a canker is actually a corrupting influence; hate is one such influence and it is very hard to rid yourself of. So it is with Spots, they canker or corrupt us, they burrow deep into your soul and make it hard in some cases to remove. But with great effort and determination, you can remove these Spots that work to corrupt your soul. Salvation is yours if you use the Atonement of Jesus Christ and remove your spots. Damnation is yours if you don’t.
Why do people bully others? Have you ever been bullied? Have you ever bullied anyone? The effects of bullying ripple out and can be felt for many years and beyond. They effect whole families and groups of individuals. Don’t let the adversary get hold of your heart. If you want God to quickly forgive you, then quickly forgive others.
You may think it a contradiction when you hear the words adultery and kill used in conjunction with one another. So how do these two words work together? If a wife or husband steps out on the other, it is as if one kills the spirit or soul of the other. That person has given into lusts and was being acted upon, and wasn’t thinking of themselves, their spouse, or even of God. If we give in to these lusts we are also stepping out and away from God emotionally, physically, spiritually and mentally. If we transgress against God, we are acting adulterous toward him and in-turn, we are killing our spirits.
Social media has supplied a prolific way to boast, and there are many articles and books that address the impact of boasting and its destructive results. Boasting is readily recognized as someone who is self-absorbed or tries to show themselves or glorify their accomplishments. Boasting can be found in all forms; mental, emotional, spiritual and physical. As spoken of by Christ, Let not thy left hand know what your right hand doeth (Matthew 6:3). Surely the opposite of boasting is to humble ourselves and show humility, and to consider others ahead of oneself. If we acknowledge the example of Jesus Christ’s life, we come to understand that He has provided the very tools we need to have humility.
Have you ever shouted out a comment when you are angry and thought afterward, that was the dumbest thing I could have said, why did I say that? Too often, you don’t know what you have until it’s gone. You don’t know damnation until you face it. Remember, Jesus Christ has already paid the price for each of these spots; he has paid for all the hate and all the anger, so that you can live with God again. Remove these spots so that you might continue to progress toward God.
We often want to Blame something or someone so that we have an excuse for falling short. If you Blame another, you have placed a Spot on that person and also on yourself. We have the greatest example of forgiveness from our Savior, Jesus Christ, who is blameless. Remember, there is no pit so deep that God's love is not deeper still; God will give us the love to be able to forgive our enemies. What is the way to stop being spotted by blame and how do you stop placing blame on ourselves and others? The answer is, forgiveness!
How many times a day do we as believers of God do things that are so far from what we know a loving God would have us do and even be? Have you heard the saying, “do as I say and not as I do?” Be the change you want to see in the world. Christ said it well when he said, “Come follow me.”
Stop, think, and stop reacting. You do not need to lay hands on a person to teach them a lesson. Instead we should be fair, firm and friendly. When someone stops the progression of someone else, this is abuse.
Thou shalt not covet was given as one of the 10 Commandments. When we Covet we want what someone else has. What is your heart set on? We speak often of the two great commandments in this Podcast series. Love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and love thy neighbor as thyself. Why are these so important? As you focus on what you do have, you turn your attention toward God, you begin to love God and in turn, you become consumed by his Love. Your desire then turns to loving your neighbor even as you love yourself, and your time is consumed with what is best for your neighbor and yourself. You begin to recognize and focus on what is needed for good to prevail. Are you starting to see the simplicity of God’s words!
Perspective is everything. It is not what we see, but the way we see it. When we change the way we look at things, the things we look at change. How do you stop complaining emotionally, spiritually, mentally and physically? Think before you let the complaints come out of your mouth. Change your thoughts into moving forward in a positive way. Nothing of value is ever accomplished by complaining.
Have you ever heard of the “book of life”? In this episode, we share with you how you may get your name written into this book and likewise how you may have your name blotted out from this same book. There is a formula or equation for this and it is quite simple; here it is: Repentance + Faith + Atonement = Born Again. If you’re not practicing any of the following: repentance, faith and using the atonement of Jesus Christ, then you won’t be reborn again! We are taught to ask, to seek and to knock as shared in the book of Matthew in the New Testament: “Ask and it shall be given you, seek, and ye shall find, knock, and it shall be opened unto you.” A fool is someone who lacks sense or judgment. If you really don’t believe in Christ, why would he open the door when you knock? Don’t be the fool, Christ has marked the way. Refer to: Matthew 7:7 / Acts 3:19

If you are sitting in misery you might think the only thing that will feed you is food, alcohol, drugs, sex, but that is wrong. There is a beautifully simple way to overcome Eating Disorders. What you feed your spirit is what feeds your flesh. Your body will follow your spirit, so feed your spirit what you want to become. What types of things are you feeding your spirit?
Holding on to Hate is like filling a backpack full of rocks and carrying it around with you everywhere you go. It only weighs you down and serves no purpose but to slow you down. When you come upon someone speaking negative, turn away. Don’t get drawn into a negative dialogue, and don’t draw others into negative conversations. Work to eliminate them totally. You don't need to hold onto thoughts or feelings that will lessen the light and love of Christ which is in you.
As you begin to behold others the way God beholds them, and begin seeing them for who they really are, the spot of disobedience and unruliness goes away. Obedience, love, and light return. Those around you may question the new “you” and ask, where is the person we used to know? Bring him / her back. Remember, darkness does not gravitate toward the light. But in reality, every time you choose to listen and follow your decision to become unspotted, you change, and you begin to let the light of Jesus Christ into your life.
Agency is something or someone that acts to produce a particular result. Have you really ever stopped to think about the word Agency? What about the impact each decision you make has on the direction and outcomes in your life, whether those decisions are big or small, simple or complex. Did you know that your agency can be taken away by your choices? You hear the word consequence used a lot; it's the result or outcome which follows the choices we have made. Agency is choosing who you want to follow. Choosing good verses evil. Acting and not being acted upon. And by choosing good, we are binding ourselves to God.
Have you ever stopped to think about how addictions affect you mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically, and how addictions are impacting every aspect of your life? Remember this, an addiction is anything that keeps you from progressing. We often associate the term addiction with drugs, alcohol, overeating, or activities that take all our time, focus and energy. But did you know that an addiction is anything in your life that is keeping you from progressing or moving forward? Addictions are mental, emotional, spiritual and physical. Addictions are Spots and these Spots keep us from seeing or beholding ourselves and others as God sees us. They cover us like a dirty windshield constantly trying to obstruct our views. We need to remove each and every Spot so that we can progress. As you follow the steps outlined in this Podcast, your eyes will be opened to see yourself and to see others in a way that God sees us all. You'll behold yourself and others in a whole light.
The Account and the Ability. An Account is a statement of conduct; this is the knowledge required. The Ability is the power or capacity to do or act in any relation, and this is the power to move forward; Account & Ability. What does the word accountability mean to you? What are you accountable for? Your choices, your actions? And how does what you do impact others every day? It’s time to wake up. Every choice and every action DOES impact everyone with whom you come in contact with. Consider this saying: what I say and do are the things that others remember, I am accountable for my words and my actions. The great changes that are taking place in the world, move me to change and choose each day to see the impact of my words and actions, and strive to be an influence for good in this chaotic world.
