TRIGGER WARNING: today’s episode will mention instances of homophobia through religious institutions, conversation therapy, rape, profanity. If any of these topics are triggering to you, please use your discretion before listening.

Robert Rea, Life Coach and Celebrity Stylist volunteered to talk about his experience going through conversation therapy, and ultimately his story of what it took to finally embrace his sexuality and identity.

Conversion therapy is "therapy" that is aimed at changing a person’s sexual orientation or gender identity.

For more information on this topic at depth, please visit: https://www.thetrevorproject.org/

Robert has expressed to me that sharing this story is healing for him and helping him process what happened. If any of you identify with his story, reach out and know you are not alone. Our stories collectively can one day end these atrocities once and for all.

If you would like to in in touch with Robert his instagram is @bearchic

Because of how much subject matter we went through, this is going to be a 2 part episode. The next one will air next week.

Would you trade your freedom in order to fit in?

For me that's a hell no.

Today we have business mindset coach, Paul Silva.

He’s coached over 100 clients on how to create the lives that they’ve only dreamed of. He supports clients through 1:1 private coaching, groups and also has a FB group for coaches (“Coaches’ Concierge”).

I brought on Paul today because before he was this successful coach, he knew what it was like to be bullied for being different at young age. He is really raw and open about how that trauma really affected him as an adult in the form of alcoholism.

After overcoming his past, he also sponsored many men and women through the delicate, but powerful, process of addiction recovery. He himself is over 10 years sober.

I wanted to share the mindset of someone who despite his past, was able to find himself again. He was able to take his sensitivity, something he used to be so ashamed of, and turn it into his greatest strength as a coach!

It is my intention that his presence be beckon of light for those of you who have suffered from low self worth. Let his story inspire you to choose to love and accept yourself, and design a life that you love.
