My name is Eric Arzaga, and I am a Filipino-American born in the Philippines, raised in the Islands of Hawai'i. My vision for this podcast is to create a community of not only Filipino-Americans, but also other American immigrants who are pursuing their own American Dreams. Life is certainly different from the old country, and there are many things to be missed; however, Life in America is fruitful and can be abundant if we accept the New World around us. I certainly have embraced the American Culture, but traditions and history never dies.
I currently serve in the United States Army as an Officer (West Point Graduate), and am a business owner and entrepreneur. I am also active on TikTok (Earzaga), Instagram (EricRzaga), and Youtube (EricRzaga).

Aloha and Mabuhay!
In this final episode of this season, I share my belief that what you consume is what you will become. I have read 18 books in the past 10 months; and the result of that is the mindset that I now have and the decision I have made to move on with the next chapter of my life, and that is to hang up the uniform and pursue a different lifestyle. And it all began with these two books I share in this talk. See you in the next season!
In this episode, I got a chance to interview a group of Soldiers in Training about their journey so far in the military with a special emphasis on the new enlistment bonuses that the military is currently promoting.
In this episode, I share my interaction with a Soldier in Training on the firing range. It was a conversation about predicting the future; and that by doing so, it causes doubt, uncertainty, and a lot of "what ifs," instead of focusing on doing. If the end is meant to happen, then whatever happens before that is meant to happen.
In this episode, we talk about having a dream. A Dream is so critical because dictates what are goals are. A dream is something you will always continue to pursue, while a goal is something you will get to eventually. Everyday, a dream is supposed to fuel you and remind you to conquer those goals. There are three types of people when it comes to purpose: a nobody, an ordinary, and a dreamer. Be a dreamer every single day so that you are positive about the outlook on life and those around you.
In this episode, I share my belief about the world. My belief starts with me and the interactions I have with those within my Family, my community, my workplace, and strangers in the marketplace. If we begin to have conversations about where others are coming from, we can begin to unite a relationship that is based on understanding; this understanding leads to love, kindness, and trust, and ultimately a better world.
In this episode, I discuss the topic of personal branding. This is one of the most important things to keep in mind early on in your career and life in general. The people you come in contact with will have initial and lasting impressions of you, regardless of how long that interaction/relationship was. Always remember to love and give people your best because you never know how you might change their life or how they might change your life.
In this episode, I open and share my heart to those that want to cut out the noise and and are overcoming wasted time. Everything I consume affects the fuel in my brain, the decisions I make, and the actions I take. It is like a high performance sports car. A Ferrari or a Lamborghini will not perform to its highest potential if it is being fueled with 87 Octane. Fuel your mind with the same grade similar to that of the person you want to become years from now.
In this episode, I discuss a topic that is near and dear to my heart that I dont want anyone else have to experience or go through, and that is living for the approval of others. Live your life for your own decisions and your own definition of success, and not for anyone else.
In this episode, I have the honor and privilege of deep diving a little bit more on my uncle Rudy's life story. He served 40 honorable years in the military and government service, and finally retiring in 2015. An incredible Leader, Father, Husband, and Grandfather to his family.
In this episode, I talk about exposure to my own definition of success. The world has its own definition of success, but I now know that my success journey is out of the military.
In this episode, I discuss my point of view on pain and how our individual pain can give us strength and encouragement to overcome difficult challenges and achieving our goals. My pain has always been to see my parents with no more worries; to see them at ease and happy; to see them smile and know that what they have done for our family was worth all their hard work and sacrifice.
In this episode I discuss who I really want to become, is it in the military or is it in the civilian sector? It takes self-exploration and self-discovery, then to setting goals, and pursuing them. Average people do not compete, they stay stagnant; the average do not set goals.
In this episode, I explain why its difficult to be hungry and self-driven if you are always fed. I share my life story of growing up with having less, which has given me a different perspective in pursuing my goals and where I want to be. Rate, Like, and Share the episode!
In this episode, I have the privilege of hosting U.S. Army Recruiter Staff Sergeant Ryan Cheon as we discussed what it is like joining the military as a Korean Immigrant and becoming a successful Non-Commissioned Officer.
In this episode, I discuss my personal view on whether you should pursue a college degree; what is the point of getting a college degree? what do you value? what are you trying to achieve?
In this episode, I discuss the question of whether my immigrant family would ever go back to the Philippines? Its a relevant question that a lot of immigrants ask themselves in the early and late stages of their time in America. Do I have enough and should I go back to my HOME Country? Or is America my new home? what is the cost benefit analysis? what kind of a lifestyle do I want to live?
In this week's episode, I discuss my understanding of self-awareness and the importance of identity and not letting anyone stop you from discovering your potential. Enjoy! and let me know what you thought!
I begin my series of who I am by first going over how I saw America as an immigrant and later realizing what it meant to have the opportunity to live the American Dream. Some people say that the American Dream is dead. I disagree. The American Dream is the opportunity, unlike anywhere in the world.
