After doing a short episode about the topic of abuse, I was asked by a number of listeners to expand on it more with a series. This is the first episode of that series. Because this topic is so heavy and might be hard for some listeners I wanted to provide an intro episode to help everyone know what they can expect. The goal of this discussion is to help bring hope to victims and also those who might realize they themselves have been an abuser. We want to look to Scripture to see how our walks with the Lord ought to inform and affect the way we respond to abuse. While this isn't easy to discuss my prayer is that the Lord will use it in a mighty way because the sad reality is that this discussion is needed.

In this episode we talk about the last two false teachers, the Tickler and the Speculator and why we need to avoid them. Sit back, listen well, and fear not theology.

In continuing our series on the types of false teachers in the Church today we are talking about the Abuser. I realize that this topic is very loaded and that one 30 minute podcast episode will not cover everything that can, and even should, be said. I am considering doing a few more episodes about this topic specifically but want to line up some expert guests before I commit to that so that the content is as good as it can be.

In this episode we briefly explore the types of abuse and the ways in which they are found at work in the Church today.

If you or anyone you know is experiencing abuse OF ANY KIND please know that you are not alone and that this is not God's design or will. Abuse is evil and it needs to be addressed people need to be held accountable to their actions.

I wrote a blog post a few weeks ago about an experience I had when encountering highly reformed teachings in seminary. The blog post was so popular that I decided to record the post so that more people could hear it. This is not an attack of anyone or of any beliefs, it is simply an experience I had that I believed to be worth sharing.

In this episode we continue our look at the types of false teachers in the church today with The Prophet. You might not think this is a false teacher we should worry about, but sadly, it is. "The Prophet" is a type of false teacher who has snuck into churches and who we don't always recognize right off the bat.

This is the first episode for our series on false teachers and some of the more subtle and "popular" false teachings that lurk in our world waiting to pounce.  We're going to be looking at the ways the Bible helps us to identify False Teachers and their teachings so that we're better equipped to discern and defend against them. Lots of research is going into this series because I believe that it's important make sure I know what's really being consistently taught by someone before I call them a false teacher. Always remember that I welcome your feedback and questions! Fear not theology, friends!

Shout out to The Princess Bride for a quote that captures this series so perfectly!

On this episode we're starting a new segment (or series) of reading through the book of Psalms in 30 days. Did you know that if you read just 5 Psalms each day that you will read through the entire book in one month? That's so cool, right? And that's exactly what we're going to do in this series. Read along if you're able and get ready to see what the beautiful book of Psalms has to offer us!

Be sure and listen to every episode! As we get closer to the launch date for my Kickstarter I'll be doing some fun giveaways. But you won't know how to win if you don't listen!

Is there really a biblical reason to believe in Creationism (God creating the world according to Genesis 1) or is it okay for Christians to adopt Evolution as our belief? In this episode we look at how to Bible speaks about creation, what it means if humans have a Creator, what is and isn't true about Evolution, and what the logical conclusions are for both beliefs.

***At around the 20 minute mark I get my terms mixed up.
Microevolution, what takes places on a small scale within a specific species and aides in adaption I DO agree with.
Macroevolution, what is said to take place on a large scale and leads to one species becoming a completely different species, I DO NOT agree with.

I'm starting a short series called "confessions of a preachers kid" where friends and I take a look at what life was like growing up, well, a preachers kid. To start off this series I thought it was only fair that I share a brief version of my testimony with you all. I really could talk for hours about the faithfulness of God in my life but for this episode I just wanted to focus on what I felt was most relevant to listeners. I hope you all enjoy and that you're excited for what's to come in this series!

This episode is for the girls! Sorry, I won't be singing Martina McBride but I will be speaking directly to the ladies. On this episode I share my heart for why it's important for women to read and study scripture, know Christian doctrine, and understand truth. There are a lot of lies out in the world targeting women and sadly many of them are creeping into the Church. Ladies, it's time to know the truth that sets us free and to be able to stand on it!
