She graduated with honors BFA in 2000 and worked as a photographer for a couple of years, eventually settling as a legal secretary. Upon the death of her twin sister, she decided to write professionally in her sister’s honor.

As a child Glenda felt shy. Looking out her window to neighbors and passerby, she would make up stories about them. Hiding a flashlight under her bed for emergencies, Glenda used it to read her favorite books, sitting up in bed with the blankets pulled over her head, she pretended to be in a tent.Her first book, part of a series, "Periwinkle's Magic", is inspired by a bedtime story she created -about adventures with Periwinkle, a magical gnome, and Mac the McCaw, a parrot-that she would tell her daughters. Her oldest daughter; Emily, would add little tidbits to the stories.Giggling with Glenda, her kids and grandkids laughed out loud whenever she shared these stories. Glenda's message is a reminder to children that using imagination throughout reading helps you get through things, enjoy life, and believe that anything is possible.Ms. Tinsley lives in Sacramento, with her husband, near green-belt areas and a lake-with ducks, fish, frogs, geese and turtles.

Bio:Cindy is a storyteller first and foremost. Her writing journey began after her 50th birthday and the lock-down provided the opportunity to get those stories down. Some stories have been haunting her dreams for over forty years. Her previous lives have been in advertising, fashion and as a small business owner.

He needed a new move, a new kind of move; nay a radical, almost magical move. Could such a mystical move even exist? He had never heard of one.
Epiphany had been watching for some time, from a distance of course, that was how she rolled, but it was time to stir the pot. She sauntered over to the rook, wearing her customary smirk, “Slippery little b***d, isn’t he?” The rook slowly looked up, “Are you here to help or torment?” She smiled, “I’m here to offer you a promotion.”
“This is going to cost me, isn’t it?”
She nodded, “Yes, it is. You have to sacrifice Trajectory – give him to me.”
“And how, exactly, is that supposed to help?”
She leaned down and whispered in his ear. His eyes widened, his pulse quickened, he stood so fast he almost knocked her down. “I see it, I see it. Oh, that has got to be it.” He grabbed her shoulders with both hands, “Thank you; he’s yours.”
Returning to the game, it was his turn to gloat, “This is gonna be fun.”

Leticia Ordaz is an Emmy-nominated anchor/reporter in Sacramento, California. She's covered some of the biggest stories in the country. As a Latina mother of two Spanish-speaking boys, she sees the importance of having more bilingual books for them and other children to choose from. After spending countless nights translating picture books to her children into Spanish, Leticia decided it was time to write her own stories for the world to read. She wants her sons to be proud of their Latinx culture and find children who look like them represented in more picture books.
THE ADVENTURES OF MR. MACAW is her first book, and she’s excited to share bilingual stories with children around the world. Leticia hopes to break barriers and change statistics that show, currently only 7% of all children’s books published in the U.S. come from authors/illustrators of color. Only 5% of children’s books currently feature Latinx children as main characters. Gin Noon Spaulding is an author, teacher, speaker, and mom who helps families and organizations understand, learn tools of accommodation, and find true acceptance for children with sensory issues. In doing so, Mrs. Spaulding helps the child, family, and organization excel aside from their differences. Mrs.Spaulding is originally from Tullahoma, Tennessee, where she discovered her love for storytelling and writing, through her parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins who would tell hilarious stories that would make anyone laugh! She always enjoyed hearing the oral history of her family and keeping people on the edge of their seats, as they listened to her many stories.
Mrs. Spaulding was recruited to teach school in Louisville, KY in 1991 and has called it her home for the last 31 years. Mrs. Spaulding holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN, and a Master of Education degree in Educational Counseling from the University of Louisville. After 27 years of teaching, Mrs. Spaulding retired from Jefferson County Public Schools in 2018 and has found her true passion-professional writing! When Mrs. Spaulding is not writing, she likes to volunteer to feed the homeless at her church's Salvation Army Ministry and Keep Louisville Warm.
