I humbly greet you'll here in this Music Zone community and to the admins and members weldon for the good works you've continuously done here. Eyes are seeing them.

It's been a while I come around this community to present due to some unavoidable circumstances. It's not really intentional for it to have been so.

So, a whole hearted apologies to you all my good people.

For this Week's Festival, I shall play a cover of MILLI VANILLI a song called "GIRL AM GONNA MISS YOU" to tell you'll all that I've missed you and I'll try my possible best to show up every week.

However, Milli showed a deep concern championed by the love he had for his girl who wants to leave. Expressing what he felt and the impacts that her leaving would do to him.

Often times when we fall inlove, we do that with all I've got leaving nothing behind. Infact, we place our lives in that love not minding what could be as outcome.

It's only when something happens from either party that we soon realised we went too far and getting oneself out of it becomes a rock to pull.

We could be tempted to ask this question which is "how many of us is ready to sacrifice for love?"

It's easier said than done.

I'm most grateful to the #openmic community for the honor done me to choose the theme for this week. It's indeed a rare privilege to come by. Thank you🤝

For this week, I shall play a song by MICHAEL JACKSON titled "EARTH SONG"

However, looking at our common environment where we live our lives we can already see that nature has control of so many things and the earth receives all of nature and mother it.

So, we hear words like "MOTHER EARTH
The Holy Father, Pope Francis the Head of the Universal Catholic Church in 2015 wrote an Encyclical Letter titled "LAUDATO SI where he extensively remarked on the care for our common homes and environment, taking care of trees and every other thing that nature provides.

This is so inspiring which gave me the sight to choose this theme on nature and our earth. These factors are most important to get life going and smooth.

Neglecting them in any way or form is dead in itself.

Trees and bushes they say have eyes, ears and can as well speak. How then do we care for our environment and work hand jn hand with nature to treat the earth well?

This seemed a big question and can raise anxiety among human. Of course, without these two elements our life tends incomplete.

Love nature, love the earth, love what she offers and treat it with utmost respect for they too are as important as ourselves.

I shall do a song by TIMAYA titled DON DADA. This song appears particular to me at this time because of its meaningful lyrics and progression.

Timaya is a Nigerian musician who have made positive impacts in the entertainment industry with his music. And so, the lyrics sung with an inviting call to caution about who we may have as friends because those we show love are the same those who'll turn against us.

He lamented thus:

Placing a general conception because someone had disappoint does make any sense. Treat each person according to his/her conducts to you.

In a nutshell, dear hivers, learn to trust and believe in other people's ability or inability to take their duties to a good end.

The inspiration I've got from the song is that I should render help, try to lift up in my own little way void of an expectation of anything in return in order that I live long rather than live in shock or despair.

Hive Open Mic week164 with the theme "HOPEFUL"

If you ask me what's the striking point about this theme, I will tell you that to be hopeful is confidence, to be hopeful is kindness and to be hopeful is Godly.

I am @wizj.

For this week, I shall play a Saxophone cover of "TRY A LITTLE KINDNESS" by a 1969 country song singer GLEN CAMPBELL

If you'll agree with me in a way, you can see that hopefulness align with kindness. Once one is hopeful for best in the future, it triggers inexhaustible kindness.

The lyrics of the song Sang deep into our ears, echoing and re-echoing about giving a helping hand in any way we can so necessary.

However, often times than not, we mistaken kindness and so relegate it totally to only the monetary aspects. But, I tell you this minute NO, it doesn't necessarily mean that money breeds kindness; rather kindness can be shown in so many ways.

We can be kind in words, actions, gestures and infact many other ways other than giving money. Being empathic is more gracious than giving money many times.

The bottom line however, is that we should not ignore others in any form. Show sympathy and recognise with one another in any little way you can for kindess is priceless and hopeful is Godly.

My people, you've got to try a little kindness. It's not too much to ask. It's not too hard to exhibit rather consistency in practice of it gets one used to it.

Art itself has unimaginable friendship with man, everywhere man sees himself he's surrounded by works of arts. Art brings memories to life and spurs more of future creative minds around. What we see Art produce now could in a way informs our perception of how it may look like in the near future.

He rose in victory and glory. He's our good friend. He's a perfect example of an absolute friend who cares without reserve.

Now, it's a lesson to us to become friends to everyone. In our work places, schools, play grounds, game houses, fields on sport, etc.

All of the people we see and meet move around with different graces; and who knows whom you shall make friend with today to share in their abundant graces.

I am going to play it only with the #SAXOPHONE without any accompaniment of karaoke.

The song itself has huge inspiration embedded in it.

Worries is a deadly disease that kills slowly and gently leads one to depression. Studies have proven that depression kills even faster than HIV/AIDS.

Worries can make someone forget the most important things one should have done. Worries comes with fears.

Am sure, at some point in our different lives, we may have experienced certain form of Worries and from this, we need someone to lift us out of it.

It mean in a nutshell that everyone is important in this life. Negligence and hate doesn't help restructure any human to his/her whole form but collaboration, love and understanding does.

It's week 158 of our concert; and for this week's theme "LET'S DEFEAT THE DISTANCE" chosen by our spotlight artist @karlex77.

I shall present Sax cover of "RIVERS OF BABYLON" by BONEY M

I shall play this with just the saxophone.

I chose this piece for the reason that the song portrays kind of exiled people who sat in distance and singing a song remembering their root.

Where they were taken from and where they were brought to were not the same. It was a different land and horizon which was not appealing to them in any way.

However, when one leaves his/her zone to a strange land for the first time. They'll not see it as easy to adapt as such. Now imagine when you're forced out of your land to another where you do not know anyone or anything about their culture and dealings. This won't copereate well with the body and the senses, the psychological effect will strike harder and harder. The coherency will be lost.

Home is best; they say, "Home sweet Home". Once anyone arrives home, you often notice a deep sigh of relief. It seems like a completion of a self mission which is to bring the self back. The water from home is satisfying more, quenches hard thirst easily🤸‍♀️🤸‍♂️

Boney M sang this song depicting the Israelites exile to babylon. Like the saying goes "you do not know the value of what you've until it is taken away"

While they were enjoying every blessings of God upon them. They forgot about him so Soon and began following their own whims and caprices, thereby neglecting who fend for them earlier.

So the exile reminded them of a God who cares and so; in exile, they sat and sang a kind of relieving so to say redemption song

The value of what they had taken for granted initially came back. Their senses were opened to the reality that life isn't about what they saw and experienced but far more than what it is.

Something must always bring us to our senses some times if we fall.

So, hivers, cherish every golden moments you've got both here on hive and anywhere else because what seemed unimportant can be the very thing we may need after.

Burna boy is a a Nigerian Afro-Pop musician who has contributed immensely in the music industry as well as going far and wide internationally. He's a great Gem💪.

This song inspires me particularly how simple it is and the wordings flows so indeptly touching.

Of course, it's natural for humans to display pride and all what not. We, often times, claim who and what we are not just to intimidate another. But, it doesn't end there, pride leads to a rustic fall if not checked on time and to cut out.

He says, he's a common person but the happiness he has in his state gives him access to a stable and unending happiness.

Unfortunately too, many people seem to misunderstood our common-Ness to mean weakness and so tend to manipulate and exhibit exploitation. This shouldn't be the case, but it is unfortunate that it happens.

I wash your car, clean your house, keep in order your house, run errand for you, etc. It mean to me that I'll one day drive my own car, someone else will clean and wash to make me look clean and presentable too. That's the karma about this.

As the popular saying goes"the young shall grow..." So true it is. Because so far there's life, there's a huge hope.

So, hivers do not understimate anyone whether here or those close to you because you never can tell the next thick of the hand of a clock.

In line with this theme, I shall present a cover of a song done by "Women of faith" titled "WONDERFUL, MERCIFUL SAVIOUR"

I am going to play it with my Saxophone only.

God is a wonderful God who cares for us all no matter the tribe, gender, ethnicity and what have you.

He doesn't show discrimination in any way to anyone. Everyone appears equal before him and his treats on us are equal.

Human often times fail in showing equality, beginning even from our biological family. Parents have their so called favorite child whom they adore so well and are ready to give out anything to him/her despite the challenges or sacrifices that such may demand.

In other words, God as a supreme being understands this human inclinations yet since he is not human but divine, weighs everyone according to their capability and then bestow his gifts and graces upon them.

We ought to have learned from him but unfortunately, we fail as numerous times as possible.

We therefore, ask for his mercies for the many times we have failed to show genuineness and sincerity in our dealings with our neighbours and may he grant us his graces for authentic enablement..Amen🙏🙏🙏

Hello everyone. Its Afri-tunes week 56.
I am @wizj

For this week, I shall carry us on the rehearsal I had here for Sunday Mass. I didn't have the opportunity of recording while presenting then real.

Earpiece is best for accurate Sweet melody on this💯

In the Catholic Church, every Sunday has three readings. The first reading is accompanied with the Psalm,(chanted or sung with instruments accompaniment), second reading and the third.

So, the #PSALM is mostly chanted or sung with instruments accompanied depending on how they wants it to be as I earlier mentioned.

And for this particular one, we played the Psalm and chantors sung the wordings. It comes from one of the Psalms in the bible and must be suitable with the theme for the day or week.

It is PSALM 88:1-2,21,24-26,29.

While practicing, it was a lovely moments with our choristers and instrumentalists. For this one, it was not the full choir but selected ones from soprano and alto. The soprano singer is #Monica while the alto singer is #Janet.

On the Keyboard, we have ANTHONY, on the drums, we have my cousin ABEDNEGO, on the lead guitar, we have JOE, the #SAXOPHONIST is me #WisdomJames at the background and the choir master is FRANCIS conducting.

Mind you, its a practice but for me it's more or less a real presentation though.

In any case, I hope it shall delight your ears. The tune for the Psalm is original to us. The interlude ideas are original to me and I employed into its finishing touch the tune of a song by JUDIKAY
IDIN-MA #WisdomJames touch🤸‍♂️🏊.

The Psalm has four verses. I so loved the wordings of the psalm as it has so many promising and enlightened words.

God never abandons his own. He'll always look out for them whenever it's time.

We are well covered by his unceasing love and mercies which knows no bound. His steadfast love endures forever and his anger doesn't last.

So, I hope you shall enjoy and follow up to this readily baked piece🤸‍♀️

For this festivel week-24, Round-3, I shall present a live performance with my brothers. A song titled HALLELUIA by LEONARD COHEN. I am on the #SAXOPHONE, two other brothers on the Keyboard and drums.

I sat thinking of what song to delight us with for this week and boooom🤸 I grabbed what showed forth before me #HALLELUIA.

So, I engaged my brothers and took few minutes of their time to bring this piece up.

O yea! The song got me deep in that, being a Catholic we know that HALLELUIA is a HEAVENLY LANGUAGE sung only by ANGELS to God and we're as well previledged to participate in singing it.

David was the greatest man in his time, a king, a musician, composer. In fact, David played virtually all instruments available during his time.

We hear of #Harp and other strings instruments. He composed lots of #Psalms as we have now. Of course. We are now beneficiaries of his initiative and skills

Going forth and fifth, showing minor falls and major lift to shout the great HALLELUIA

This pleased the Lord. Cohen placed some factual realities which of course, we've today in music as well.

The truth is according to Cohen "there's a blaze of light in every word of Halleluia whether it's the holy or broken Halleluia.

So, Halleluia shouldn't end. It should show in all we do. It's a form of gratitude as well.

Trust me, shouting Halleluia blazes in the mind. In fact, it is life in itself.

Nothing should come up our minds other than showing gratitude to God. However, this is done through the closest and even the seeming distant people we meet.

Guess where I was then? Hmmmm, not sure I was born yet. Imagine the long line of the song till now, it still has good melody to the ear and pleasing while listening.

I had a drift to making ABBA for this week seeing from @yisusth's presenting DANCING QUEEN. I was moved while listening to his trumpet. You see, one beautiful and inspiring thing about Hive is getting moved positively and inspired beyond imaginations.

This is clear, which is why I've decided to drop this piece for this week.

FOr this week, I shall play a cover of a song by SHINEHEAD "JAMAICAN IN NEW YORK"

I wish to begin this round of festival with some reggea vibes, of course this would mean to ignite some feelings inherent in us.

However, this song has many versions with same progression and instrumentation. Nevertheless, Shinehead portrays in his song which seemed like there was a stranger who moved to a new place. An alien from Jamaica to New York.

Making movements around this new vicinity trying to get use to people and other things happening there.

For a man to make a stand, sometimes he take rough the means.

The lyrics of the song send an in depth message to me and the all as well. Speaking like a true Jamaican, he meant that one should make himself/herself know of what he does.

Letting others know we've ambition is concrete to accept rather than loosing out and remaining somewhat useless.

In other words, to succeed could mean being outsmarting, not dubious ways but principled way with right intentions

Imagine myself in America or Europe or Asian,etc. I would want to adapt fast to their system of operation. This is a GIVEN

I shall bring to us for this week cover of Michael Jackson song HUMAN NATURE

This is a song released in the early 80s as a single.

This song human nature while listening to it rang in conformity with the theme for the week. "You're with me", it connects with human being and of course, it is only humans that would utter such a word as being with another.

Its in human nature to feel and grave for things for the body. Often times, those things we graved for are not so necessary but out of our human nature, we longed for them.

Jackson expresses himself on how his human nature tortured him to wanting to touch a stranger whom he knew not. Real strange right?😎😳

He exclaimed that her eyes appears electric. You can imagine😁

Sometimes too, we humans presume otherwise about the other person. Our presumption may or may not be so true.

O yea, the artist lovingly composed this song for his wife👰, his lover and his all. Calling her an angel, seeing songs coming forth even in her words.

In our world today, marriage is not easy to build coupled with advancements in technologies and the likes. Homes are easily broken due to negligences caused by too much attachments to technology.

Quote me right, i am not in anyway jettison the fact that technology itself contributes positively to a good home. I mean, there's no home who'll survive without the basic needs given through technology be it local or advanced.

Today I shall drop a cover of "KILLING ME SOFTLY" by #FUGEES.

Its a songs that was popularized by the Fugees (a song for many black young women and men) in 1996 and became #1 on the chart of USA and UK.

The lyrics spurs so much emotions about a young woman who fell inlove with a strnager, someone she knew nothing about except hearing from his music.

Music has a spirit of togetherness. It has the spirit of getting strangers along with you.

Music has the capacity to create obsession to others no matter the genre

In this week, I shall do a cover of a song done by Lady Gaga ft Bradley Cooper "SHALOW"

We are still very much in the LOVE month. So, we express love at every instances, at every moment.

SHALOW is a 2018 collaborative song. Its emotional in progression . Twas written for a movie titiled "a star is born, 2018"

The song simply connotes two love birds who agreed to move away from the SHALOW area. Moving to another world.

And so, in any case, the song began with a question as we shall see in the lyrics.
