The people of Jerusalem were living in nice homes while the Temple was in ruins. We need to think carefully to make sure we are not neglecting God's work.
One thing we can all agree on is that Christ will come to judge the living and the dead.
Ezekiel corrects a proverb to remind us that God judges people according to their own actions.
Superstition leads to false hope. Our God is spirit so our hope is not found in something material.
God has removed our heart of stone and given us a heart of flesho so we can walk with integrity.
We are not responsible for other people's wickenness but we are responsible for what God has called us to do and say.
Babylon does not get a pass on their wickedness. God stands as a judge for all. May we take refuge in him.
The story of the last kings of Jerusalem was tragic. They did what was evil in the Lord's sight. Let us do what we need to do in order to be faithful.
God's word is like grain and the prophets dreams are like straw. What do we want to depend upon?
When God judges a nation, often times the righteous suffers with the wicked. Pray for revival that people's hearts would turn to God. But also remember, the point of God's judgment was to bring justice and create a people with hearts that are humble toward him.
How much do you think about heaven? What do you think would change in you if that became your longing?
Let us give thanks to God that he did not break us when we were bruised. Let us show the same kindness to others.
Don't just look out for the peace and security for your own day...think about the generations that will follow.
Just because you walk closely with the Lord doesn't mean that you wont face great trials. Keep on trusting.
Jesus fulfilled Isaiah 35 in his earthly ministry. We look forward to the day of his second coming to see the fulfillment in its fullness.
God calls Egypt, "My People." No one is too far from our God. Keep praying for the lost.
The Lord raises up nations and brings them down. He also is Lord of the ebb and flow of our lives. Take comfort.
Jesus fulfills Isaiah 11:1 and we look forward to his coming kingdom. While we wait let us give thanks for his salvation.
Teachers in the church, Elders/Pastors, will be held accountable for their teaching. Growing in knowledge should help us grow in truth, faithfulness, and godliness.
How do we work on our marriages? We work on our relationship with God. Draw near to God and he will draw near to you.
Stirring up love before the appropriate time is playing with fire. Wait for the right time and wait for the right person!
