In Italy, Napoli ran riot against Allegri's Juventus, extending their lead at the top thanks to another Milan draw, while Atalanta hit Salernitana for eight.
And in Spain, Real Sociedad continue to march on, Sevilla dropped into the relegation zone and Villarreal escaped with a point against Celta Vigo.

The GOAT confirmed his status as the greatest to ever grace the sport by adding the World Cup trophy to his cabinet after arguably the best international tournament final ever. Kylian Mbappe's hat-trick wasn't enough for France, but his performance signalled the passing of the torch from one great to another.
Argentina are champions of the world for the first time since the Diego Maradona-led side of 1986. For Messi, redemption for 2014. For Mbappe, he'll have his moment in the sun again.
