Hello everyone, This is another opportunity in the hive music festival. This is week 157 round round 1, I am @joshuabbey. This is going to be my entry in this competion and so i appreciate everyone who have been working for the success of this project, Kudos to @musiczone who has been guiding us through in our post. It is another opportunity to make a musical presentation. I appreciate everyone who has been working for the success of this project and to all the members of this great community, I say well done to you all.

In this week 157 of the Hive musical contest, i will be singing a song titled : Seven life composed and produced by Beautiful nubia. The song is a song that is talking about the african culture, decribing the african environment in a musical way. This song is also a song that is full of hope for a better future. I am proud to be an african guy, what about you?

Are you an African, or do you have it in plan to visit Africa for holiday in the nearest furure? That will be a nice decision, you will have a lot of fun. You dont even need to visit a Zoo or a tourist center to have fun in Africa, everything is fun... Of cos i am not saying that other places in the world are not, infact there are many places i wish to visit. I want to travel round the world, visit America, Europe, Asia, Australia... Yes i want to, but there is no place like home.

Now lets talk about African ways. Although i wont be able to touch all that, but i will say just little that i can say here. Lets start from: -

African Childhood : This is the most fascinating of them all. Infact as i am growing into adulthood, i still miss this childhood in African way. As a child, there are lots of fun, because we grow up together in unity and hamony without any barrier. Especially if you are from a polygamous family where we have like 18 children of different mothers growing up together, 😉 😁 that will be alot of fun for sure. Going down to the stream to fetch water together, the bush hunting for birds and rats or the 5 team type of street football that we enjoy together, I cant forget all those..

Another aspect of African culture that is Fun is Marriage engagement. When you look at the way marriage engagement is conducted in Afica, you will understand what i am saying. Marriage engagement moat time takes place in the bride family compound, and that means they will ve hosting the groom family. The groom family wont come empty handed though, they will come with bridal gift for the family and the bride... Some family demands for what they want as gift while some just collect anything brought.. There will be dancing, different kind of food and drinks foe auch events ..

I cant say it all, the song Seven life (African boy) will add to what i have been saying about african ways, i hope you will pay attention to the lyrica and not just to the beat and your expectations about my presentation...

Music has been a life changing experience for me, and when i found a platform like this, i get more encouragement to do more. It has been a nice time to be part of this great project. Kudos to @musiczone who has been guiding us through in our post. It is another opportunity to make a musical presentation. I appreciate everyone who has been working for the success of this project and to all the members of this great community, I say well done to you all.

This week is a great one for me and I trust it will be the same for everyone of us. I have another presentation for this week and my presentation for this week is a cover of Westlife (You Raised me up).

Music is a medcine on its own and it can bring a great relieve to the body and soul. Every positive message music l.e music created with the purest of intention has the power to heal the individual and the community at large. Good music has the power to make the soul clean, illuminate the heart, make the captive free, it has the power to strenght the week and bring hope to the hopeless.

Furthermore, real music enables the spirit and give us the strenght to rie to our best self. Good music caries messages for loce, social justice and harmony.. Music carries messages that keep our eyes on the big goal ahead of us. Music also tells us that there is no success without big effort… For example, becoming a popular artist demands a great deal of commitment and practice.

Good music must be lyrics based, not just the king with mixed beat without any message or wisdom to derive from it. The song i have for us today is one of that kind music that carries great encouragement in time of weariness and adversaries. “You raised me up” is a song by Westlife reled on December 27, 2021.

Here is the lyrics of the song;

When I am down and, oh, my soul, so weary
When troubles come and my heart burdened be
Then I am still and wait here in the silence
Until You come and sit awhile with me

You raise me up so I can stand on mountains
You raise me up to walk on stormy seas
I am strong when I am on Your shoulders
You raise me up to more than I can be

This week is a great one for me and I trust it will be the same for everyone of us. I have another presentation for this week and my presentation for this week is a cover of Don Moen (God will make away). This song is a song that is telling us about the supernatural ability of our God... A line of the song says that "where there seems to be no way", this means that God can do impossible things even in hopeless situations.

Our ability as human is limited and can never be compared to the ability of the Creator who can make things our of nothing. There is a story in the Bible that show us how God made ways in the sea, what I am saying is that God made a path of dry land inside the sea. He made the water to stood like wall creating a path way for the Israelite. Not just that, He did the same at the river Jordan.

"He works in ways we cannot see". His ways are not humane, He is God the creator of the universe. So we can be sure that no matter the situation in our life and journey, we have a God who can do exceedingly above what we can ever ask for and He can never fail... He is the present help in type of need., when things are not going smoothly, He will always be there to help.

"He will be my guide". That's another benefit of associating and moving with this God. He will guide us from all evil. There is no way by which we can watch over ourself, we all need a supernatural means of protection. I have seen people who insured their life with demonic charms for protection and at the end of the day, the charms failed them. This God is the keeper of Israel that never sleep nor slumber according to Psalm 121.

Here is the lyrics of the Song:

God will make a way
Where there seems to be no way
He works in ways we cannot see
He will make a way for me
He will be my guide
Hold me closely to His side
With love and strength for each new day
He will make a way, He will make a way
Oh, God will make a way
Where there seems to be no way
He works in ways we cannot see
He will make a way for me
He will be my guide
Hold me closely to His side
With love and strength for each new day
He will make a way, He will make a way
By a roadway in the wilderness, He'll lead me
Rivers in the desert will I see
Heaven and earth will fade but His Word will still remain
And He will do something new today
Oh, God will make a way
Where there seems to be no way
He works in ways we cannot see
He will make a way for me
He will be my guide
Hold me closely to His side
With love and strength for each new day
He will make a way, He will make a way
With love and strength for each new day
He will make a way, He will make a way
Yes, he will, he will make a way for you

Hello everyone, This is another opportunity in the hive music festival. This is week 153 round 3, I am @joshuabbey. Glory be to almighty God who has been guiding and protecting everyone of us. Hive is indeed a great platform, with different opportunities every day, expecially this kind of oppotunity created for everyone to showcase their talents. Music is one great thing tht brings us together in harmony and forthis reason, it is a good cause.

My entry for this week is titled “Tobechukwu” tobechukwu is from igbo language in Nigeria. Tobe means : the act of praise, while chukwu means: God. So therefore we can say that Tobechukwu means praise the Lord or praise to God. God is worthy of our praises and we all should acknowledge that.

This song is expression of thanksgiving to the most high God, the one who is worthy of all our praises. Thanks giving is a neccessary thing to be doing always because we have got a lot of reason to return all our praises to God. No one is worthy of accepting theses thanksgivings but the living God (Jehovah).

How many of you like Highlife?
This is not Highlife music, this is the highest-life music
The Zoe life
Our own is highest life music, say highest life music
Eternal life is the highest life
Hallelujah, band, are we ready?
Are we ready?
Tobechukwu, Tobechukwu
Tobechukwu, He has done it for me
Tobechukwu, Jehovah, Tobechukwu
Tobechukwu, He has done it for me
Is that your testimony? Listen
Even before I prayed
Jehovah Nissi answered me
(Tobechukwu, He has done it for me)
He has taken away my fears
And given me peace of mind, eh
(Tobechukwu, He has done it for me)
See the way He answered me
Tobechukwu, Tobechukwu
Tobechukwu, He has done it for me
See the way He lifted me
(Tobechukwu), Oyekeruwa (Tobechukwu)
(Tobechukwu, He has done it for me)
Let the trumpet play
When I was worried and couldn't sleep
He was working behind the scene o
(Tobechukwu, He has done it for me) ah, yeah-yeah-yeah
He has taken away the pain
And given me joy and victory
(Tobechukwu, He has done it for me) ah, yeah
Tobechukwu, Tobechukwu
(Tobechukwu, He has done it for me) ah, yeah-yeah-yeah
Tobechukwu, Tobechukwu
(Tobechukwu, He has done it for me)
See the way He lifted me o
(Tobechukwu) Tobe yah, Tobe yah
(Tobechukwu) Tobe yah, Tobe yah, eh
(Tobechukwu, He has done it for me) ah, yeah
Oya, come and join me worship Him o
(Tobechukwu, Tobechukwu)
Tobe Jehovah (Tobechukwu, He has done it for me)
See the way He lifted me, oh-oh-oh
(Tobechukwu), Tobechukwu (Tobechukwu)
Tobe Jehovah (Tobechukwu, He has done it for me)
Come and join me worship Him, oh-oh-oh
(Tobechukwu), Tobe Jehovah (Tobechukwu)
Tobe Agunechamba (Tobechukwu, He has done it for me)

Hello everyone, i am @joshuabbey. This is my submission for hive Music Festival Week 151 round 1.

I have another presentation for this week and my presentation for this week is a cover Song (Bigger than any Mountain). This song is a song that is telling us about the supernatural ability of our God... A line of the song says that "God is bigger than any mountain we can or cannot see", this means that God can do impossible things even in hopeless situations.

The inspiration behind this song is that we all know that we will pass through situation that can bring fear, and when you are in situations like this, the most important thing is how we can come out of such situations which can be a terrifying situation.

To come out of such situation calls for having someone that can pull you out of such situation, Our ability as human is limited and can never be compared to the ability of the Creator who can make things out of nothing. There is a story in the Bible that show us how God made ways in the sea, what I am saying is that God made a path of dry land inside the sea. He made the water to stood like wall creating a path way for the Israelite. Not just that, He did the same at the river Jordan.

"He is bigger than any situation". His ways are not humane, He is God the creator of the universe. He is the present help in type of need., when things are not going smoothly, He will always be there to help.

This song is a song that will open our knowledge to the fact that God is the master And that no one can be compared to him, no one. No king, no ruler, He is the only king now and forever more

This song is an inspirational song, and if you have gotten the chance to listen to the original song below 👇👇👇👇👇

The name Adonai is from the Jewish Christian religion, It is like a title given to God and it implies the sovereignty and authority of God. It also has the same meaning with the word “ Yahweh” and the literary meaning is “My LORD”..
There are many places where the word Adonai is used in the scriptures especially in the Old Testament

When we talk about the names of God we are talking about his attributes, And this way we can get to know him better. This song is a song that will open our knowledge to the fact that God is the master And that no one can be compared to him, no one. No king, no ruler, He is the only king now and forever more. Hello everyone, This is another opportunity in the hive music festival. This is week 149 round round 2, I am @joshuabbey. I am here again this week with another wonderful song by beautiful nubia titled "Pass the calabash". You know that whenever I'm here, I'm always here with an Africans type of music and the same thing goes this week, another African music.

This song is talking about the african culture that has to do with love and harmony. Our social life is far different from other places because we see ourselves not as neighbors but as families, as friends and brothers. African people love to do things together, when on farm, they like to work together, i.e today they will go to one person's farm and tomorrow they will gather again to work in another person's farm, that is their nature and after the work for the day they gather together in a place like a cool spot, and they settle down to enjoy themselves with drinks. Sometimes they eat together after they are through with their work for the day, in the same big bowl, with one cup, they dine and wine together.

For Each age group, when they gather in the evening in their meeting place (some have their meeting point under a big tree in the village, some will be at the market square). During this meeting in the evening, they will get a big container for palm wine bigger enough to satisfy every one of them. And like I said earlier, they drink from one cup, passing the cup from one person to another. They do this without discrimination and hatred, even to those that are non indigenous of the village, they still extend their same love to them. And when it comes to joyful occation like wedding ceremony, they gather together to celebrate, even during disaster or bad occurrence, they rally around themselves and solve the problem together like brothers. Thats the African ways of doing things especially the parts where I come from, we are just like brothers.

So therefore, below is the lyrics of the song "pass the Calabash"

Our work is done, It's time to have some fun, people come together sing a song of joy
Pass the calabash o make we drink some palmwine (pass the calabash o make we drink some palmwine)

Our work is done, It's time to have some fun, people come together sing a song of joy
Pass the calabash o make we drink some palmwine (pass the calabash o)

Pass am o, pass am o, drink am o drink
Share am o, share am o, don't you forget
In Africa, people always share, we love our neighbours all, we don't discriminate (In Africa, people always share, we love our neighbours all, we don't discriminate)

Ah, pass the calabash oh-oh (Ah, pass the calabash oh-oh)
Ah, pass the calabash oh-oh (Ah, pass the calabash oh-oh)
Ah, pass the calabash oh-oh (Ah, pass the calabash oh-oh)

Ah, pass the calabash o make we drink some palmwine (pass the calabash oh-oh)
My brother make we shack some palmwine
(Pass the calabash oh-oh)
Everybody make we drink some palwine (pass the calabash oh-oh)
My sister make we shack some palmwine (pass the calabash oh-oh)

Hello everyone in this wonderful group and community (Sound Music). I am your guy @joshuabbey.. How are you doing over there? Its my pleasure to to join this initiative this week. I love a space like this, especially when it is a religious community.

Greetings to all the admin, moderators, ad supporters in this community. To all the artist who has been performing weekly in this community, i say Kudos to you all. Here is another opportunity to express ourselve in musical manners... My presentation for this week is collections of Africa praises. Praise and worship is one way by which we reference God. This week i will be singing some of the praise songs that is very common in most African churches.

Some of these praises are rendered oftten in our churches and we dont even know the composer of this songs. Today i give credits to all the composer of those songs we have been using in our choir renditions, praises and all platforms where those songs are used. Like i used to say on this platform that African music is lyrics based, and you cant enjoy african music if you sont have good listening ears. African music contains religios fact, social facts and tradional facts.. They are songs of wisdom, most of these songs was composed centuries ago and are evergreen..

The first collection in todays presentation goes thus:-

Darling Jesus, darling Jesus
Oh, my darling Jesus
You are wonderful, Lord
I love you so much, darling Jesus
Oh, my darling Jesus, you are wonderful, Lord

This first one is like professing our love for Jesus to the world.. telling the world about His supremacy and His Lordship over us when we gave our life to Him to be the Lord over us.

The second one goes like this:-

You are the Lord
That is your name
You will never share Your glory
With anyone
You will never share your glory
With anybody
Almighty God
That is your name....

In my recent post, i was talking about Gods name according to the Hebrew.. there are Gods name that are beyond human comprehension and reasoning... One of this name is YaHWEH, Jehovah, I am, Elohim and many more like that. The song is telling us that God is full in Glory, and this glory he will not share with anyone. No one can even claim the glory for himself.. Is it the glory of life, or the glory of the creation of the universe, which one can we share with Him?

The thirds song says:

Unquestionable you are the Lord, unquestionable you are the Lord,
Unquestionable, unquestionable,
Unquestionable, unquestionable
You are the Lord.

This last one is telling us that God can not be questioned. He does things as he likes and no one can ask Him why or charge Him to court. His decision is always final....

Those are the African collections for this week, i hope you have been blessed listening to them. See you again next week, i am @joshuabbey

Hello everyone, This is another opportunity in the hive music festival. This is week 147 round round 3, I am @joshuabbey. It is another opportunity to make a musical presentation. I appreciate everyone who has been working for the success of this project and to all the members of this great community, I say well done to you all.

My presentation this week is a cover song by me, original song by beautiful Nubia. The title of the song is "tables turn". What does this mean? This song is a song that is talking about the hope of a better future for the poor man whose experience today is bitter and bad, The song is telling us that whatever position that we find ourselves we should not forget where we are coming from, we should not forget those that are underneath, we should not use the power, the wealth and everything that's we've gotten to add to the suffering of the masses and the needy.

This song is telling us that we should always be compassionate to others because when you see people outside even though they may look good, they may put on a nice garments, but there are things they are passing through that is covered. If we cannot be of help to them, we should not add to their budden. We should learn to help others because no one knows tomorrow. A rich man today can be a bigger tomorrow, and someone begging today can find him or herself in the position of honor tomorrow. Do not underrate anyone, do not look down on anyone because the table may turn and you find yourself seeking for their help.

We should learn to do good always haven't eaten our mind that the table may turn if you are a politician and you are elected to serve for 4 years or more, she not forget that the term in office we come to an end one day, and you will find yourself back to your roots you find yourself back with the people you've insulted, you find yourself back with the people you've helped, you will find yourself back in the midst of the people you underated, you will find yourself back in the midst of the people that you destroyed with your wealth and power.

We thought much ado, let's get to the lyrics of the song originally composed by Segun Akinlolu "beautiful Nubia"

Tables Turn - (Beautiful Nubia)

...

The poor man standing laughing

But he knows where the shoe dey pain am so

Him no fit do anything today

But one day

The tables will turn

The little children on the street

Working hard so they can eat

Them no fit do anything but cry

But one day

The tables will turn

My sister with the sexy eye

Selling her body so she can live

She no fit do anything but worry

But one day

The tables will turn

So my brothers don't you see

We must bring some sanity over here

How can one person have so much

While so many have none

The average man doesn't ask for too much

He only want what you and I want

A safe place to lay his head at night

Is that too much to ask

He want his kids to go to good school

So they can become somebody

He want them to grow up healthy and strong

Is that too much to ask

So when you build your mansions

Drive around in your fancy car

Remember to think of the little man

Cause one day

The tables will turn

So my sisters don't you see

We must bring some sanity over here

How can one person have so much

While so many have none

Poor man standing laughing

But he knows where the shoe dey pain am so

Him no fit do anything today

But one day

The tables will turn

Hello everyone, This is another opportunity in the hive music festival. This is week 146 round 2, I am @joshuabbey.

My presentation this week is a cover song (Yaweh Sabaoth) composed by Nathaniel bassey. The song is talking about the Supremacy of God.. yaweh means God and Sabaoth means "Host" so therfore Yaweh Sabaoth means "God of Host". He is the God of the armies in heaven and on earth. No power can withstand His because all powers belongs to Him...

There are many places where the word Yaweh is used in the scriptures especially in the Old Testament. Thats why in the books of prophets, the word The lord of host is often used. There are host of Angels in heaven with the duty of fighting the holy battles of God. So also here on heart, there are host of God...

When we talk about the names of God we are talking about his attributes, And this way we can get to know him better.

This song is a song that will open our knowledge to the fact that God is the master And that no one can be compared to him, no one. No king, no ruler, He is the only king now and forever more

This song Yaweh Sabaoth is an inspirational song, and if you have gotten the chance to listen to the original song by nathaniel bassey you will see better. Anyways, i am not Nathaniel bassey here, but i love the song and i wish to share this with you guys... i hope you will love it..

Lets look at the lyrics:

Yahweh Sabaoth, Yahweh Sabaoth
Yahweh Sabaoth, Yahweh Sabaoth
Yahweh Sabaoth, Yahweh Sabaoth
Yahweh Sabaoth, Yahweh Sabaoth
Yahweh Sabaoth
Yahweh Sabaoth, Yahweh Sabaoth
Yahweh Sabaoth, Yahweh Sabaoth (Yahweh Sabaoth)
Yahweh Sabaoth, Yahweh Sabaoth
Yahweh Sabaoth, Yahweh Sabaoth (ooh, ooh)
The Lord of Hosts
The Lord of Hosts, the King of Glory (hey)
Yahweh Sabaoth, Yahweh Sabaoth
The Lord of Hosts
The Lord of Hosts, the king of Glory
Yahweh Sabaoth (hey), Yahweh Sabaoth
Yahweh Sabaoth
Yahweh Sabaoth, Yahweh Sabaoth (Yahweh Sabaoth)
Yahweh Sabaoth, Yahweh Sabaoth (Yahweh Sabaoth)
Yahweh Sabaoth (the Lord of Hosts, the Mighty One)
Yahweh Sabaoth (Yahweh Sabaoth, Yahweh Sabaoth)
Yahweh Sabaoth, Yahweh Sabaoth
The Lord of Hosts
The Lord of Hosts, the King of Glory (hey)
Yahweh Sabaoth, Yahweh Sabaoth (call His name)
The Lord of Hosts
The Lord of Hosts, the king of Glory (hey)
Yahweh Sabaoth (as we listen and begin to pray)
Yahweh Sabaoth (open your mouth and blast in tongues)

My presentation this week is a cover song (Adonai) composed by Nathaniel bassey.

No king, no ruler, He is the only king now and forever more

Below is the lyrics of the song in English:

Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah
Ah-ah, Adonai
Callin' Him, Adonai eh
Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah
Ah-ah, Adonai
Ooh-ooh
We worship You, Adonai
Sing Adonai eh
(Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah) oh, oh, oh
Ah-ah, Adonai
Sing Adonai eh
Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah
Ah-ah, Adonai
From the risin' (from the risin' of the sun)
To the settin' of the same
Your name (Your name is to be hallowed), eh
Ah-ah, Adonai
From the risin' (from the risin' of the sun)
To the settin' of the same
Your name (Your name is to be hallowed)
Adonai eh (ah-ah, Adonai)

Hello everyone, i want to welcome you all to Vibes web3 music competition week 37, I am @joshuabbey. This is going to be my entry in this competion and so i appreciate everyone who have been working for the success of this project, those who created the oppotunity to showcase the talent in us @verbal-d @lordbutterfly @silentscreamer.

My entry in this week contest is a cover song (all that matters) composed and produced by Minister GUC a Nigerian gospel artiste. This song is a song that is telling us about the importance of involving God in what we do, not just involving Him, but to make him the Alpha and the Omega. Its through that we need other things for a well living, but like what the Scriptures says that " We should seek first the kingdom of God and its righteousness" all other things will be added.

So this song is telling us to put God first and let Him be the sole driver of our life. We shouldn't allow money, mansions, cars or fame to take His position in our lives and careers..

Lets get to the lyrics of the song:

I will put you in front
In front of my melody
You're all that matters
You're all that matters
I'll make room for two
You and I Jesus
You're all that matters
You're all that matters
Owei, Owei
You're all that matters
Owei, Owei
You're all that matters
Owei, Owei
You're all that matters to me Jesus
Owei, Owei
You are all that matter
What would I live for
If I no get you for my life
What would I gain
If you take the Holy Ghost
What would have become of me
If to say you no hold my hands
What would have been said of me
If to say I no see your light
Now I've come to realise
That you are all I have
You're all that matters to me
You're all that matters to me
Owei, Owei
You're all that matters
Owei, Owei
You're all that matters
Is it the house or is it the car
I'll give them all to you
Is it the name or the fame
I'm nothing without you
I will put you in front
In front of my melody
You're all that matters
You're all that matters
Owei, Owei
You're all that matters Jesus
Owei, Owei
You're all that matters

Hello everyone, This is another opportunity in the hive music festival. This is week 144 round 3, I am @joshuabbey.

Lets checkout the lyrics;

Overview
Lyrics
How many of you like Highlife?
This is not Highlife music, this is the highest-life music
The Zoe life
Our own is highest life music, say highest life music
Eternal life is the highest life
Hallelujah, band, are we ready?
Are we ready?
Tobechukwu, Tobechukwu
Tobechukwu, He has done it for me
Tobechukwu, Jehovah, Tobechukwu
Tobechukwu, He has done it for me
Is that your testimony? Listen
Even before I prayed
Jehovah Nissi answered me
(Tobechukwu, He has done it for me)
He has taken away my fears
And given me peace of mind, eh
(Tobechukwu, He has done it for me)
See the way He answered me
Tobechukwu, Tobechukwu
Tobechukwu, He has done it for me
See the way He lifted me
(Tobechukwu), Oyekeruwa (Tobechukwu)
(Tobechukwu, He has done it for me)
Let the trumpet play
When I was worried and couldn't sleep
He was working behind the scene o
(Tobechukwu, He has done it for me) ah, yeah-yeah-yeah
He has taken away the pain
And given me joy and victory
(Tobechukwu, He has done it for me) ah, yeah
Tobechukwu, Tobechukwu
(Tobechukwu, He has done it for me) ah, yeah-yeah-yeah
Tobechukwu, Tobechukwu
(Tobechukwu, He has done it for me)
See the way He lifted me o
(Tobechukwu) Tobe yah, Tobe yah
(Tobechukwu) Tobe yah, Tobe yah, eh
(Tobechukwu, He has done it for me) ah, yeah
Oya, come and join me worship Him o
(Tobechukwu, Tobechukwu)
Tobe Jehovah (Tobechukwu, He has done it for me)
See the way He lifted me, oh-oh-oh
(Tobechukwu), Tobechukwu (Tobechukwu)
Tobe Jehovah (Tobechukwu, He has done it for me)
Come and join me worship Him, oh-oh-oh
(Tobechukwu), Tobe Jehovah (Tobechukwu)
Tobe Agunechamba (Tobechukwu, He has done it for me)

Hello everyone in this wonderful group and community (afri-tunes). I am your guy @joshuabbey.. How are you doing over there? Its my pleasure to see you here again this week for another edition of afritunes weekly music contest.

Greetings to the moderator @afri-tunes, and all the supporters of this community. To all the artist who has been performing weekly in this community, i say Kudos to you all.

I am here again this week with a song by Westlife titled "flying without wings".

This song is telling us that everyone has one or the other thing that bring joy and happiness to us and these things varies from one person to another. To some people its money and luxury, to some it may be their family and to some, its their business. But the most important thing is that your happiness is the best gift you can give to yourself...

Everybody's looking for that something
One thing that makes it all complete
You'll find it in the strangest places
Places you never knew it could be

Some find it in the face of their children
Some find it in their lover's eyes
Who can deny the joy it brings
When you've found that special thing
You're flying without wings

Some find it sharing every morning
Some in their solitary nights
You'll find it in the words of others
A simple line can make you laugh or cry

You'll find it in the deepest friendship
The kind you cherish all your life
And when you know how much that means
You've found that special thing
You're flying without wings

Hello everyone, This is another opportunity in the hive music festival. This is week 138 round 3, I am @joshuabbey.

My post this week is a lamentation about Africa titled (Dear Africa) composed by Segun Akinlolu (Beautiful Nubia). This is a song talking about the situation in most african countries. And these are the main reason for economic melt down in most of our African countries. Some African countries are suffering from bad leadership while some are suffering from war and disunity among ethnic groups.

Morever, no development can take place in countries where the above listed predicament is reigning. The only way out of the backwardness, unemployment and insecurity is to join hands together and build a better nation, a place that we can be proud of wherever we are in the world.. These are not the works of the Government alone, the masses also have alot to do.

African people are seen as second class citizen in the world and some of our leader are too selfish to hear the cry and acknowledge the pain of the masses. They were voted for so that they can serve the nation but instead of serving the nation, they are there for themselves and their families. They are eating the national cake as if it belongs to them alone. In the midst of all these are the dangers we inflicts on ourselves in the grassroot level, killing fellow humans like ordinary animals.

People say that the youth are the future of every society, but theses same youths are those whose lives are wasted on the battle field Fighting their fellow brethren. Can someone tell us what the future holds for these youths after they have wadted all their days seeking for Job without any hope of getting one. And for those eho are not ready to wait till government provide a job opportunity, who volunteered to go to far and work, they had either been killed by bandit or chased out of their villages. The cry of everyone now is REVOLUTION.

Without much ado, lets get to the lyrics of the song:

We had a dream to build a great nation
We had a desire to rule the world
We lost our way and we should have turned
around
But all we do is keep on going wrong
How many more years of sorrow will come
How many more wars will we fight?
Dear Africa I'm worried for you
Come on and tell me, what we gonna do?
Tell me where we gonna go for love
Where we gonna go for hope
Show me how we gonna live without justice
How we gonna live together?
We've got the children scattered all over the world
They contribute to those economies
Back in the land the forest has become a desert
We shift the blame from one to the other
How much more blood are we gonna shed
How many more kids will go to war?
Dear Africa I'm down on my knees
Come on and tell me what we gonna do?
The sky is bright and the music is high
The spirits of our fathers returning home
Dear Africa give me some hope
Come on and tell me what we gonna do…

Hear the children cryin' (one love)

Hear the children cryin' (one heart)

Sayin' give thanks and praise to the Lord and I will feel all right

Sayin' let's get together and feel all right

Let them all pass all their dirty remarks (one love)

There is one question I'd really love to ask (one heart)

Is there a place for the hopeless sinners

Who has hurt all mankind just to save his own beliefs?

One love, what about the one heart, one heart

What about, people, let's get together and feel all right

As it was in the beginning (one love)

So shall it be in the end (one heart)

All right! Give thanks and praise to the Lord and I will feel all right

Let's get together and feel all right, one more thing

Let's get together to fight this Holy Armagiddyon (one love)

So when the Man comes there will be no, no doom (one song)

Have pity on those whose chances grows t'inner

There ain't no hiding place from the Father of Creation

Sayin', one love, what about the one heart? (one heart)

What about the, let's get together and feel all right

I'm pleadin' to mankind (one love)

Oh, Lord (one heart) whoa

Give thanks and praise to the Lord and I will feel all right

Greeting to all participants. I want to sing a song titled "Dear Africa"

Lyrics in my journey through the world

overland and oversea

I see different cultures

and different people's way

I was born where the sun

never set and never rises

I was born where the heat is like a second skin

children crying on the streets

automobiles are making noise

the land is growing dry and weak

spirits dying low

the fore fathers are calling me

are never tire never weak

the pride in me is bursting loose

an African boy

on the farm my father called me down behind the tree

he said prostrate at my feet and say a few prayers

then he told me all the stories of my brave ancestors

said look into my eyes son

you were born to brave

so in that while I went home behind my father with a hoe

listening to the songs of birds

whispers of the night

I was singing

in the evening

mother called me down into her hut

she said lay upon my bossom

and say a few prayers

then she told me to go forward never looking back

the spirits are with you

you will never fail

in the market place I dance the sound of bata dancing
