Making friends as an adult is not an easy task. Growing up, it’s easy to befriend friends in your class, sports or other activities our parents put us in. As an adult you have to go out of your way to build meaningful friendships especially, if you’re in a new town. On top of making new friends, it can be tough to navigate relationships that no longer serve you in your current stage of life. Luckily, it’s 2023 and we have the internet! We just have to use it, and that’s what Sydney Morehouse did.
After a breakup, Sydney found herself looking for girl friends in Kansas City with similar interests to her. So, she turned to TikTok and her video resonated with hundreds of girls in KC (and beyond!). With that turn out, she was inspired to put together her first KC Girls Meet Up at a local boutique, Lucca Collection, which was a huge success. Realizing she had started something that was really needed in the area, the meet ups are continuing and the friendships are building.
