A podcast where we hold fictional characters accountable for the things screenwriters make them do and say. Taking Hollywood to task, and sometimes enjoying movies. Hosted by three leftist metalheads: Carcassbomb (They/Them), Chris (He/Him) and Espi Kvlt (They/He/Vamp).
We take turns revisiting movies we once loved, and see how they hold up in the face of our radicalization. Some do, some don't. We learn and laugh along the way.
This movie is an erotic thriller that constantly dates its self. Chris has an embarrassing story about watching Her, Carcassbomb and Espi are just embarrassed from having watched it. A romcom? I guess?

This week we did our best to watch Espi's suggestion without covering our eyes too much. You should be warned if you don't know anything about this movie, that half of it is a rape scene and so that will be a point of discussion in this episode. Are you kids ready to hear Christopher Walkens use the F slur? I wasn't but this movie is hilariously offensive for the most part. Don't worry, it's social commentary... I think? I still am not sure whether the overall statement is calling out/parodying dude cinema or is mourning the end of the good old days where you could say you want. I guess you'll have to find out for yourself!
