Ever heard of a "sexy podcast"?

Think erotic literature but in spoken form.

That's the idea that our friend Nessy had a little over a year ago when the pandemic was just starting to take off.

It's an idea with a lot of potential demand, and it strikes at the heart of some of the difference between how male and female brains experience arousal.

That's just the beginning of the rabbit we explore in today's episode where we discuss human sexuality on biological, psychological, and cultural levels.

Joining us is Mikey (episode 5) as our cohost as we dive deep into human relationships and share some stories and dating experiences as the world opens back up and people start getting back out there and start getting intimate with one another again.

What does it mean to be an influencer?

In this third and final part of our conversation with Tyler Blanchard we talk about the influencer culture and reflect on both the positive and negative aspects of it.

Fame and celebrities have always existed, but influencer culture throws a modern spin on both. Nowadays it’s easier than ever to grow a following and build a personal brand because of social media in our hyper-connected world. But in the desire to grow more quickly, move faster, push the limits further, look better, gain more attention and make more money, there are a lot of ways things can go wrong.

In a world where you can find an audience for anything, what do you want your influence to be?

Can anyone become a content creator?

In part two of our conversation with Tyler Blanchard we get into what kind of career paths allow you to pursue creative endeavors more easily.

Whether your strategy is to keep your cost of living down and maximize your free time, or to work a high-pay but flexible 9-5, one thing is for sure, being a content creator takes up a lot of time and energy. And with the decline in the value proposition of college and traditional career paths, the space is both full of exciting innovation and uncertainty that needs to be navigated bravely.

From arm-wrestling champion to business owner to lawyer to musician to motor-biker to personal trainer to speaking 7 languages and holding 3 university degrees – Estonian Susie Ann seems to do it all. She’s a Yes girl with a witty attitude.

She’s our first female guest and in this special episode, our fellow founding member, Jeff, finally makes his first appearance as host, and a solo act at that.

Jeff and Susie sit down together in Mexico, gulping shots of Pisco to celebrate crossing paths again after their first meeting in Susie’s homeland.

They chat about everything fitness and both even share some personal crazy arm-wrestling stories. They also deeply explore feminism and Susie's being a strong independent woman as it relates to relationships, intimidation, social pressures, and owning your own business. They also touch on travel, working in different time zones, and of course Estonia!

Did you know that Estonia has the most startups per capita? Or that it’s home to 5 unicorns despite only having a 1M population? Susie reveals this and more as Jeff and she reminisce together.

Buckle up for a different ride in this one!

Did you know Portugal is becoming a major tech hub?

I didn't before this impromptu podcast with our guest Philip Lipetz.

He has a Ph.D. in Biophysics, is a best-selling author, and has founded a number of successful companies over the years. His most recent venture, Popdoc.io, is a new kind of productivity software that is geared toward streamlining creativity by connecting networks of information together more easily.

We decided to do this episode a little differently by hosting it openly on Clubhouse just to see what might happen, but we never expected to have such an interesting and in-depth discussion with someone as accomplished and insightful as Philip.

And what characteristics help you become successful?

In this milestone 10th episode of the podcast, we explore the answers to these questions with a man who most would consider as having achieved tremendous success in not one, but several seemingly unrelated careers.

From starting as an immigrant from Soviet Ukraine to becoming a professional track-and-field athlete to successfully investing in commercial real estate, to managing professional soccer teams, we look at the story of Sergey's father and some of the most important life lessons he's learned along the way.

We also touch on some deeper psychological questions, like the value of self-reflection, its importance to personal growth, and how to learn to enjoy that process.

Both as individuals and as a collective?

What are some old virtues we want to rediscover and carry forward?

What mindsets do we need to leave behind us?

In today's episode, we go deep down the rabbit hole with Fred Mathieu, a technical recruiter and founder of the Flourish Factory.

We touch on a wide range of topics from building community, non-profits, social change, race, entrepreneurship, and what the future is going to look like for our society which looks very different than it did just a few decades ago.

Investing or Gambling?

In this week's episode, we discuss the recent turmoil in the market around stocks like Gamestop and AMC, and how to think about finding opportunities in a volatile stock market.

We also do a deep dive into real estate investing. Often touted as a great way of making "passive" income, we explore just how much work and thought actually goes into making money from cash-flowing properties. Spoiler alert, it's more than most people probably think. However, it remains a great way of building wealth if you know what you're doing, you know what the rules of the game are, and are willing to put in the work.

AJ has a background in finance and economics, graduating from UC Berkeley in 2013 with a double major in both. He's been investing in the market since he was 16 and in real estate since 2014.
