5 ways you know your helmet is NOT working:

  1. Dwelling on the past, failures and living in the what ifs and if only.
  2. Doubting Christ love and care for you or your situation.
  3. Looking to worldly things for comfort instead of to God.
  4. When you start slipping back to your old ways, not aligned with God.
  5. Put earthly treasures above God. (time, money relationships, etc.)

5 ways you know your helmet IS working properly:

  1. Renew your mind in Christ; allowing the word of God to wipe out anything that is not true.
  2. Reject doubt
  3. Keeping an eternal focus; store up treasure in Heaven, not on earth.
  4. Victory is already accomplished; dead to sin, alive to God.
  5. Put all your hope in Christ; treasure what the helmet represents, our salvation.

How to map out attacks of the enemy:

1- Get a POA, Plan of attack; Use verses to speak out over the situation, learn to control your mind.

2- Pray; Prayer gives us access into the spiritual realm.

3- Worship; Praise is your weapon!

Homework: Journal your week to see where your weak areas are at and start praying on those areas or people. You may be surprised to see where you are allowing the enemy a foot in your life without you even knowing it.Being aware is key!

Here are 10 steps to get prepared before battle!

  1. Find a space; closet, car, spare room etc.
  2. Print off photos; of people you are praying over.
  3. Find scripture to speak out over what you are praying on.
  4. Print off prayer. (Pinterest is awesome for this)
  5. Have a Bible.
  6. Keep prayer cards; of things/ people you are praying over.
  7. Keep an answered prayer box.
  8. POWER 15; 5 minutes in worship, 5 minutes in the word, 5 minutes of prayer.
  9. Pray out loud; your still alone but start getting yourself used to this too.
  10. Use your prayer room!

Prayer looks different for everyone there is no right or wrong way, just be YOU! God wants all of our hearts, not just a slice of it!

If you have been struggling to find words during prayer, I hope this will help you to understand- that's okay. The most important part is giving God time in your day. Even if thats not saying much at all and just being in His presence.
