Thank you, Eddie!

It's the night before the big interview and I'm calm as a cucumber. After a good night’s rest, I woke up alert, did my stretching, then I let the dogs out. After devouring my breakfast of tuna and oatmeal, I headed over for my interview. I arrived early, checked in, and waited patiently. I scoured the town from the 13th floor view and then the door opened. The director of marketing entered the room and I shook his hand with a professional handshake, trying to restrain from squeezing his hand to firmly. Remember, I consumed tuna and oatmeal prior to the interview. I sat down for an interview with one of Florida's premiere Directors of Marketing and we began chatting about the company and how my quick wit, diverse education, marketing experience, and vision would benefit the copywriting department. We chatted, I put on my game face and interjected a few laughs. He was direct and to the point. After analyzing my resume, he realized that I was the ideal match for the copywriter position but he did not want to give away his hand. There is a lot at stake. In my hand, I’m holding a royal flush and he just threw down three of a kind. I smiled. I’m all in. I call. Did I get the job? Only time will tell. Be sure to check back for the update.
