This is the first episode in a 5 part series on dating. Dating should be simple, right? If you've had a nice time then consider seeing them a second or third time. In fact, relationship expert Logan Ury suggests a rule that we always go on at least 3 dates with the same person before making a decision to move on. But often we have preconceived ideas about how we should be on a date, who would make a great date, and how we should feel by the end of the date.
Today, we’ll debunk 3 common dating myths that stop us from being our true selves while dating – limiting our chances to co-create a successful partnership. I’ll end with the most common dating myth, so make sure you stick around to the end.

We've gotten so many mixed messages about making mistakes over the years, that often we tend to view them negatively. Today, we'll discuss how mistakes are an opportunity for growth. Research shows that the more positive your attitude about mistakes – the fewer unnecessary mistakes you’ll actually make. You won't cast a shadow of negative expectations on situations before you even engage with them.

34. 3 Steps to Accept Everything with atlas amari
In Episodes 31 and 32, called Create the Life You Want, Parts 1 and 2, we talked about the power of acceptance in helping you create the life you want. Acceptance is the path away from resistance. Acceptance is letting go, resistance is holding on. Gal Gadot who plays Wonder Woman in the recently released movies, once said: “Wonder Woman is a fighter, better than most, but it's what she fights for that is important. It's her vision of a future of peace and acceptance that makes her the right ambassador for everyone.”
Today, I am going to show you how getting in touch with your own superpowers can lead you to a life of acceptance.

32 Creating the Life You Want Part 2 with your host atlas amari
At the end of Episode 31, we considered a quote about re-examining your values. Here is that quote from Roy Disney, co-founder of The Walt Disney Company. He says “It's not hard to make decisions when you know what your values are.” Today in Part 2 of Creating the Life You Want we’ll discuss how focusing on your values will make it easier for you to accept situations in your life -- so that you don’t persist to resist and cause yourself pain and suffering. Instead knowing your values will reinforce that you want to experience life peacefully and as Thich Nhat Hanh says “sow seeds of happiness.” Once you focus on your values, you can be more intentional with HOW you show up in the world.

30. Forgiveness with atlas amari
At the end of Episode 29, we considered a very simple quote about Forgiveness that I think says it all. Here’s that quote from American poet, civil rights activist and more. Maya Angelou. She says: “It's one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself, to forgive. Forgive everybody.” Today in Forgiveness, we’ll discuss how you benefit from forgiving yourself and others, what forgiveness is and is not, and possible reasons why others may hurt or betray you.

29. Positivity in the Face of Negativity with atlas amari
At the end of Episode 28, we considered a quote about Assuming Positive Intent. Here’s that quote from the author of The Four Agreements, Don Miguel Ruiz, he says: “Don't take anything personally. Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won't be the victim of needless suffering.”
Today in Part 2 of Assuming Positive Intent, we’ll discuss maintaining Positivity in the Face of Negativity. Even if the person is projecting negative intent, you have the power to maintain positivity within.

28. Assume Positive Intent: Part 1 with atlas amari
At the end of Episode 27, I asked you to consider a quote about Assuming Positive Intent. Today we’ll discuss the powerful shift towards abundance when you assume the good in others and in outcomes. Here’s a quote to consider from the Indra Nooyi, former CEO of PepsiCO, who paraphrases an inspiring quote from her father. She says: “Whatever anybody says or does, assume positive intent. You will be amazed at how your whole approach to a person or problem becomes very different. When you assume negative intent, you're angry. If you take away that anger and assume positive intent, you will be amazed.”
Today, We’ll revisit that idea in Episode 28.

At the end of Episode 26, I asked you to consider a quote (actually one of my favorite quotes) by French author, Antoine de Exupery, about creating win-win relationships by developing meaningful emotional connections with others. At the end of Episode 24, I asked you to consider a quote about the idea that most things in life are temporary. Here is that quote from Robyn Schneider. In her book, Extraordinary Means, he writes: “Being temporary doesn't make something matter any less, because the point isn't for how long, the point is that it happened.”
We’ll discuss why people tend to cling to or demonize relationships or situations and how that hinders you from leveling up. We’ll also consider the idea that everything happens for a reason.

18. Failures or Lessons with atlas amari
Happy New Year! As we step into 2022, I think it’s a perfect time to reflect on 2021. To consider what we’re thankful for, what went well, and what we can learn from. Todays’ Episode, Failures or Lessons? We’ll focus on learning from our failures. I’d like to begin by considering the following quote from Mandy Hale, author of The Single Woman: Life, Love, and a Dash of Sass.
Here is that quote: “Sometimes it takes a wrong turn to get you to the right place.”
While, I am a firm believer that there are not truly any “wrong turns,” I do believe that failure can provide valuable and unexpected lessons.

17. New Year's Resolutions and Fortune Cookies with atlas amari
Can you find a new year's resolution in a fortune cookie? Maybe ...
New Year’s Resolutions and Fortune cookies
How much deeper would the ocean be without sponges?
Recognize your prime at whatever time of life it may occur.
Stop procrastinating, starting tomorrow.
Plan to be spontaneous tomorrow.
Why not treat yourself to a good time, instead of waiting for someone else to do it?
Take that chance you’ve been considering.
Comfort zones are most often expanded through discomfort.
What is the speed of dark?
It could be better, but it’s good enough.
Every exit is an entrance to new experiences.
It’s easier to resist at the beginning than at the end.
When you squeeze an orange, orange juice comes out – because that’s what’s inside.
