WMYH? - Ep. 20: Kieran Leinung
Stop #5? Fine, I guess we'll go back to Ireland.
Kieran took time out of his day to show me some Irish hospitality, I hope you're ready for this one.
Wolfgang is one of the coolest guys I've met, here is some vital information about my boy:
- Footballer, but he'd have played baseball given the chance
- One of the most talented guitarists I've met, he can recreate music by ear which is a huge flex
- Graduated from the University of Dublin in 2022
- Is welcome in Canada anytime as long as he keeps his mouth shut
- Got assaulted in the street during stampede after offering someone a traffic cone
- Huge dog guy, like he likes them more than a lot of people
- Kieran only has one setting, and that is to tell the truth
- Likes Canada a lot more than he lets on
Kieran and the main character from the Bully video game by Rockstar games have a lot in common, they're both blonde and they're both mean. I wouldn't want it to be any other way, this episode is unfiltered and unhinged so if you aren't 18 GO LISTEN TO ANDREWS EPISODE OR SOMETHING. This guy has so many jokes he pulls out of pocket, a world of sociological knowledge and he truly cares about the people around him. I already know you guys are going to love this episode so here is my promise to sit down with you again this summer and record something else Kieran. This man wrote me a whole book last summer so the least I can do is show the world why I love him as much as I do, Kieran when you finally decide to admit you like this place just know you'll always have a support system in Calgary. Thank you for everything you do for me, for camp and for the people you love, and for those of you listening, I hope you enjoy this week's episode of WMYH!
Hopefully, this episode provided YOU, the listener with a new perspective!
Cale, Evan, and I realized not all of our philosophy content is functional or even interesting to everyone at every point in their lives. So we decided to take a different approach outside of our main series! The goal is to interview real people who have influenced us and have an interest in just having a conversation. We ask them straight up "What makes you happy" and see what happens! So hopefully you enjoy!

Stop #4? A short train ride to Wimbledon, UK.
My friend Andrew Hickey took the time this week to re-educate a dumb Canadian about the UK's geography, football teams and much more. His dry humour is rare and very much appreciated so strap yourselves in!
Andrew is an absolute legend, a genuine human being and one of the best friends a guy could ask for. Here are some things you should know about the WimbleDON:
- Currently studying Biomedical sciences at the University of Birmingham
- He's an Arsenal & Wimbledon FC superfan
- Has an unhealthy relationship with Doritos (Sweet Chili Heat iykyk)
- Is an underground rapper (don't ask for links, you aren’t ready for the HEAT yet)
- Has an Honorary Canadian citizenship (come on back Andrew, the country misses you)
- Is a person you can rely on for an honest and productive conversation
- Has been known to build an occasional side table
Andrew might come off as shy, or tough to talk to at first but when you break away the old English shell, he's one of the most entertaining people I know. Whether it's an offhanded joke, a well-placed pun or some weird Jargon like the word "Lorry" he always has something to say. Andrew, I truly cannot wait to see you again and I cannot express how much I appreciate you taking the time to sit down with us. Rest assured that when you make your way back, you've got a network of supporters in Canada that will help you make your transition to being a Canuck (if you so choose). I miss you a lot big man and so does everyone at camp! For those of you listening, I hope you enjoy this week's episode of WMYH!
Hopefully, this episode provided YOU, the listener with a new perspective!

IT'S PLAYOFF TIME. But fret not, this episode isn’t only about hoop.
In this special bonus episode of The Fork in The Road Podcast, Keaton reflects on his university experiences and invites you, the listener to join him for a conversation about fumbling his way through post-secondary education.
The episode started with a passionate "NBA Corner" (If a single one of my predictions about the 2023 NBA playoffs is wrong, this episode is considered non-canon and thus cannot be used against TFITRPC IN ANY WAY.)
After that I spoke about moving out or staying at home for university, the advantages & disadvantages of attending a small university (with a particular focus on Augustana Campus), we also considered the benefits of a more personalized and community-oriented learning experience.
Finally, the episode wraps up with a discussion of the STEM and Education faculties at the University of Alberta, which even though it's in Edmonton, isn't that bad at all imo.
I know this episode has been a longtime coming, but can a man not graduate in peace? I hope you enjoyed the episode & we'll see you when we see you!

This episode features Dr. Dwayne Donald who is a descendent of the amiskwaciwiyiniwak and the Papaschase Cree. He is a professor at the University of Alberta, holds FOUR university degrees and concentrates his time on curriculum and pedagogical studies. He is currently in year 20 of being a teacher educator and is a knowledge holder within his community & the community of Edmonton.
This two part episode was more of a relearning experience for me. I met Dr. Dwayne in 2021 when I was assigned one of his lecture in my EDU 211 course. We then crossed paths again when he took my EDSE 401 course on a River Valley Walk. I truly hope you take the time to ingest this knowledge, because I think it's time we started learning from everyone.
Part of the Teaching Quality Standard in Alberta is applying foundational knowledge about the Indigenous peoples. Part of being a decent human being is recognizing, validating & learning from the ancestral culture who is native to our land. So I want to thank you personally Dwayne for taking the time on multiple occasions to teach me some of this foundational knowledge. As well as being a guide to multiple ways of seeing & knowing this place we both call home.

Stop #3? Flying from Liverpool to Edinburgh, Morocco & Scunthorpe, UK.
This week my friend Josie graced us with a story, a lesson and a bunch of laughs. I met Josie this summer at work and she is one of the most upbeat people I've ever met.
Josie Soulby is a lowkey human being, she likes to live freely, and frictionlessly if I do say so myself. Here is what Josie has been up to:
Josie is the type of person that can make the sad feelings go away, it doesn’t matter if she cries with you, tells horrible jokes or just walks in the room with bell bottom jeans on, this lady is the greatest. She has a clear passion for travel, and patience rivalling that of someone who is extremely patient, Josie is always making other people better.
This week Josie spoke about moving to Scotland for school, what it's like to work at a Candy shoppe, her love of languages & culture and so much more. If you like seeing Calgary get made fun of, there's some of that sprinkled in there as well. Josie you're a blessing and the fact you took the time to do this with me is a gift. When I eventually get the travelling bug, we can sit down and do it again, and I'll make fun of your HOMETOWN this time smh. I miss you family, and I cannot wait to reconnect. And for those of you listening, I hope you enjoy this week's episode of WMYH!
Hopefully, this episode provided YOU, the listener with a new perspective!

PART TWO SON, WOOHOO!
This two part episode was brought to you by the grace of my friend Tyler Weenink. We studied biology together for three years in university and thought we might as well share. These two episodes explored:
I had a friend ask me once if individual recycling "truly" makes a difference. Considering I studied Biology in university I'm sure you know how that conversation went. Mine & Tyler's goal this week was to show you the reason we believe in the earth so passionately. Hopefully, you'll recognize the gift we've been given the same way as we both have, and remember that this is not going to be a paradigm shift that happens overnight. But it's time to make sure we're on the right course, Tyler and I hope you enjoyed these episodes.

Stop #2 on our world tour? Liverpool, UK.
This week I sat down with Harry King who I met this summer at work. Harry is easily one of the funniest people I've ever met, and as you'll see he's incredibly talented.
What has Harry done so far?:
Harry is going to be a professional in whatever he does next in his life. His work ethic is unquestionable & is reflected through his music (RELEASE SOMETHING), his physical health, and his schoolwork. I had a coach that told me you couldn't be great at school, sports, and social life simultaneously and Harry is laughing in his face.
Harry spoke about life in Liverpool, his need for physical activity, growing up with anxiety, using tough experiences as fuel for success and so much more! We sat down for almost two hours, so there is a Patreon-exclusive episode for those of you who decide to support the show! Harry, it was my honour to meet you this summer brother. I am challenging you to put out some more music this year because you need to give myself & the people WHAT THEY WANT. I can't wait to see you again, and for those of you listening, I hope you enjoy this week's episode of WMYH!

The man himself, Cale Scotton returns.
So there is ~8 billion people on this planet, which genuinely is crazy to think about. With all these different people must come EXTREMELY different upbringings & values. This week Cale & I spoke about value theory (very generally) and had a casual but productive conversation about values in general.
We explored these questions & much more:
- "What is Value?"
- "Do values differ from place to place?"
- "Are certain values better than others?"
Obviously we can’t objectively make claims as to what truly is valuable, but we tried to explain that values & opinions need to be differentiated and don't always need to be shared. I hope you guys are gained something of value from this conversation & enjoyed Cale's single episode return. I'll see you when I see you and please enjoy this week's episode of TFITRPC!

My laptop is ** broken.
So this is gonna be the last episode till I fix that issue :(
(Also sorry for the quiet audio on this one)
WMYH IS INTERNATIONAL BABY, and to start off our global expedition is my friend Noah Pim. I met Noah this summer at the camp we worked at in the woods and after a couple of conversations about Mr. Morale, we became good friends! Noah is built like a freight train, and he is a very reserved guy so we're lucky to be hearing from him in long form.
What has Noah done by Age 20?:
Noah is workhorse, and he's one of the funniest people I've been graced to meet. After I let him finally get a word in edgewise, Noah spoke about the importance of genuine connections, the healing effects of music, how physical fitness drives him and his hatred for Canadian architecture & car relianace. The raw episode was over an hour and a quarter long, so there is a Patreon exclusive episode (https://patreon.com/TFITRPC) that I hope you'll enjoy!
Hopefully this episode provided YOU, the listener with a new perspective!

I’m sure everyone knows atleast one person who has struggled with some form of an addiction in their life. It isn’t an easy road to navigate, and it’s easy to assume there is no solution. This week we spoke about the psychological & physiological aspects of addiction, Michael's handmade "treatment plan" (NOT REAL MEDICAL ADVICE) and actual practiced treatment options for addictions . Thankfully, Michael Mackenzie graced us with his presence this week, and don’t get us wrong, we aren’t med students. We did not solve the tragedy of addiction, and you should NOT take this episode as a substitute for real medical advice. The goal of this episode was for us to learn a little more about the faces of addiction, and put some sympathy out there for our brothers & sisters going through it right now. We hope you’re looking forward to the second half of season 2! Enjoy this week's episode of TFITRPC!

This one is not for the kids.
I’m sure everyone knows atleast one person who has struggled with some form of an addiction in their life. It isn’t an easy road to navigate, and it’s easy to assume there is no solution. This week we spoke about patterns of dependence, the psychiatric & disease models of addiction, Tolerance & withdrawal.

I just spent 9 weeks living in Kananaskis, no access to the outside world (OH NO!), with 60 beautiful people. I got to work on my craft at a summer camp in the woods and it changed my life. A lot of you might scoff at the thought, “Kids? I’d rather NOT”. A little harsh but I know you guys are out there, but for me? That’s the future of our planet family. And I personally could not sit with myself if I didn’t go out of my way to try and help guide these gremlins forward. Now add in 59 other personalities, knowledge bases, PEOPLE. What do you get? you get a huge mess, but a loveable mess where learning is encouraged, diversity is praised & respected, and the kids have a great time too I guess.
I learned more in 9 weeks at camp from these incredible people than I have in very, very long time. So if you are looking for somewhere to house your snotgobbler next summer, look us up at Camp Cadicasu! Hopefully we can change your kids life, because these people changed mine.

"Yo bro don't air that pod cast 😂 " - Kyler Dyck, 2022
I promise I got his permission after he said that to me, but the AUDACITY?? Anyways to finish the trilogy I sat down with someone I've known since 2008, Kyler Dyck. Kyler was born on a winter's night, the 29th of February which makes him 5 years old. Even so, this has not stopped him from being a leader in sport and in life since the day I met him. He is also one of the most loyal people I know, a very admirable quality if I do say so myself.
A simple list of Kyler's life so far:
Kyler is one of the most hardworking people I know. While he can be standoffish to start, once he get's comfortable and starts going off, he's blunt and hilarious! Kyler talked about taking time to really find your path, the affects of an ACL tear, a near-death hiking experience & more! The raw episode was over an hour and a quarter long, so there is a Patreon exclusive episode (https://patreon.com/TFITRPC) that I hope you'll enjoy!
Hopefully this episode provided YOU, the listener with a new perspective!
Cale, Evan and I realized not all of our philosophy content is functional or even interesting to everyone at every point in their lives. So we decided to take a different approach outside of our main series! The goal is to interview real people who have influenced us and have an interest in just having a conversation. We ask them straight up "What makes you happy" and see what happens! So hopefully you enjoy!

"Hit me up, I'll be you father ... I guess" - William Betzner, 2022
So I really like "Caucasian" sports, for example: Fishing, Golfing, Horseback Riding, Kayaking etc. After meeting William Betzner in 2015, who at Aberhart was affectionately known as "Will.B.Fishing" or "The Fish Guy". I knew immediately that I needed to learn from Will this ability to fish (which is still in progress). Since graduating highschool together in 2018, there has yet to be summer when I haven't bothered Will to go fishing. William is a jester through-and-through, he has me crying laughing constantly, and he is basically a genius.
A humble list of William's accomplishments so far:
- Born & raised in Calgary, AB
- Graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physiology (University of Alberta 2022)
- Accepted to a Masters in Neuroscience (University of Calgary)
- Co-Owner & operator of Flyberta® with Harry Osler (Fly Fishing Business)
- Had Chicken's for Roommates in 2019-20
- Published a Blog concerning the Grassy Mountain Coal Project (Flyberta.com) and was republished in a Fly Fishing Magazine with ~250,000 active viewers
- Trout Body count of over 9000
William is one of the most interesting people you'll ever meet and when he's not being hyperactive, he has wisdom beyond his years to offer. Will spoke about transferring universities, how preparation/perspective can solve bad days, fishing (obviously), a story about child labour & MUCH MORE! The raw episode was 1:11:00 minutes long, so there is a Patreon exclusive episode (https://patreon.com/TFITRPC) that Will & I promise you'll enjoy!
Hopefully this episode provided YOU, the listener with a new perspective!

Siri Play "Lonely" by Akon
This week I made myself a liar since I recorded this one solo. The Brain & Mind are very fascinating & complex subjects that are hotly studied across disciplines. Obviously my enjoyment of biology biases my opinion, but I think an understanding of these things is crucial when it comes to mediating our behaviour. So this week our conversation covered repression & other defense mechanisms, The conscious, unconscious, & subconscious minds as well as the Id, Ego, & Superego. We wrapped up talking about Sigmund Freud's Psychosexual theory.

"It's Okay" - Tegan Mackinnon, All the time
Okay, I'll confess. I went back to Camrose and sat down with someone who has influenced my life greatly, Tegan Mackinnon. T-Mack and I met through a mutual friend in 2016 at Rocky Mountain Hoops (a basketball summer camp) and ran into each other a few times after that in high school at basketball tournaments. Tegan is a magnetic human being and her electric personality really draws people in, and thus we became really good friends in grade 11 & 12.
HERE ARE SOME OF TEGAN'S ACCOMPLISMENTS SO FAR:
Tegan is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet and when she's not zoned out (which is a lot), she's hilarious. Actually I take that back, she's hilarious all of the time. T-Mack spoke about her life in St. Albert & Camrose, her tendency to overthink & how she deals with it, a LEGAL story about breaking an entering and so much more!
Hopefully this episode provided YOU, the listener with a new perspective!

- The Evolutionary basis for Morality
- Pluralistic Approaches to Morality
- Prescriptivism & More!
Obviously, Metaethics is a much broader field than we could cover in these episodes. But we hope that we have provided a few suggestions of ways to live life in the "Right" way in terms of Morals & Ethics. Just remember that in Daniel's opinion, regardless of chosen framework, consistency is KEY! We hope you enjoy the conversation, and we can't wait to have more of them through Season 2 of TFITRPC!

Welcome back Ladies & Gentlemen!
I appreciate your patience in waiting for this season of TFITRPC! To kick things off, this week Keaton spoke about Moderate Optimism, exploring the question "is there a rational reason for us to be optimistic?". Basing his argument off the conversation between Jordan Peterson & Matt Ridley, he discussed Relative & Economic optimism in this portion of the episode. We're excited to continue the journey with all of you, the Listeners on the show and we thank you for your time and support!

From all of us at TFITRPC, thank you for sticking with us through our first year of learning! This is the final part of the recap and we hope you have taken home at-least one lesson from season 1. We're looking forward to learning with all of you when season 2 goes live!
Season Two is almost completely planned out and we hope it is bigger & better than the first. We are also experimenting with a new show that will take the place of WMYH for a while. We plan to still be producing those, but they will be more spaced out and hopefully with a new demographic of guests.
If you are enjoying the show it would mean the world to us if you referred a friend!
And if you want to be involved in future projects, reach out to Keaton on social media because we would love to have you as a guest.

Episode zero went live on February 19th, 2021. After a year of learning, we figured it would be nice to highlight some of the big lessons we discussed this year.
Although the show has gone through a bunch of changes since then, we appreciate you all for listening! Part three will be available in the coming weeks so stay tuned!

"All good things come in three's" - Someone, sometime
Wrapping up our exploration into Camrose (for now), Keaton sat down with Sarah Dedrick .
Sarah was a huge part of our lives in Camrose, and I know other people feel the same. Dedrick has a unique ability to light up a room and she has "Silky Mitts" or whatever. As member of the Augustana Vikings WVB team, Sarah has become a leader and a pillar to the program.
A little bit about Sarah:
- Currently in year 5/6, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology & Kinesiology
- Raised in St. Albert, AB
- 2017 Edmonton Metro All-Star Basketball showcase Elect (SACCHS)
- Member of the Augustana Women's volleyball team ( ranked 15th in the nation as of this recording)
- 2019-20 CCAA Academic all Canadian
- 2019-20 ACAC All conference Setter
- level 4 swim lesson badge recipient & proud 2004 Toyota Corolla Enthusiast
Sarah is one of the most welcoming people I have ever met, and she thanks her friends and family for being with her through everything. Sarah spoke about her life in Camrose, the impact volleyball has on her life, why some people need 6 years to graduate and much more!

This is week two of our dive into the wonders of Camrose, AB!
In this episode, Keaton sat down with our friend Tyler Weenink. Keaton met Tyler in 2018 when they came to Augustana and Cale has been friends with him since 2020. Tyler has taught the both of us plenty of lessons in the few years we have known him, on and off the court. As a member of the Augustana Vikings MBB team, Tyler is coming into his own in that regard as well!
A little bit about Ty:
- Currently in year 4/5 of a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a double minor in Chemistry & Physical Education
- 2018-Present Member of the Augustana Men's Basketball Team (Camrose, AB)
- 2018 Highest GPA award MBB
- 2018/19 ACAC Bronze Medalist with the Augustana Vikings
- 2018-Present CCAA Academic All-Canadian (3x)
- Drives a Chevy Cobalt SS, it's a love hate relationship
Tyler is from Rimbey, AB which is on the map somewhere, we promise. Growing up in such a close-knit community Tyler credits his family & his faith for instilling in him the values he holds dear. Tyler spoke about the influences that religion & basketball had on him growing up. He also spoke on the struggles the COVID-19 pandemic had on him during the 2020/21 year.
It's time for the rest of you to learn to love Camrose like I do.
This week, Keaton had the pleasure of sitting down with our friend Nic Harder. Keaton met him in 2018 when they came to Augustana as part of the same recruiting class and Cale has been friends with Nic since 2020. Nic has rapidly become one of the most important people in our lives. He is also disgusting on the basketball court and his resume speaks for itself:
- 2018 WCCHS Sr. Boys football Provincial champion
- 2018 WCCHS Sr. Boys basketball Provincial Champion
- 2018-19 Augustana MBB Rookie of the Year
- 2018-Present Augustana Men's Basketball (Camrose, AB)
- 2018/19 ACAC Bronze Medal with the Augustana Vikings
- Parent to Misty, a dead fish. When she was alive though, Nic was a great dad.
- Currently in year 4/5 of a Bachelor of Management in Business Economics
Nic calls Claresholm home outside of Camrose, where he grew up with a tight-knit family who means a lot to him. Nic is also an avid reader, music listener and ex-superstore employee. SO, We hope this down to earth episode provided you, the listener with a fresh perspective!
Cale, Evan and I realized not all of our philosophy content is functional or even interesting to everyone at every point in their lives. I put my heart n soul into this one
This week, Keaton had the pleasure of sitting down with our friend Matt Kariath. Keaton and Cale have been acquainted with Matt since 2015, and he was a huge part of our lives in high school. Matt is legitimate on the gridiron and his resume speaks for itself:
- 2015 Aberhart Jr Boys city champion
- 2017 Aberhart Sr Boys city champion
- 2017 CYFA All Star-South Sqaud
- 2018-2021 St.FX football (Antigonish, NS) , member of the X-Men LMAO
- Founded and self sustained @mk_kutz on instagram, the realest barber available
- Currently taking a BSc in Kinesiology & Health sciences at St.Francis Xavier University.
Matt finds his roots in South India and this week he talked about the impact his family had on him growing up, how your chosen sport can take you anywhere in the world (even Nova Scotia) and the trials and tribulations of navigating adulthood. We hope this provided you, the listener with a fresh perspective!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM TFITRPC!
This Christmas, Wesley Sherrard sat down and gave us 45 minutes of his time and we couldn't be happier! Keaton has been blessed to know Wes since 2011 when Highwood Elementary underwent French Immersion forced migration and they immigrated to King George School. If you'd asked Keaton when they were thirteen, which of the 8 of his friends would have gone the furthest in life he'd probably say this guy. In year 4 of BSc in CompSci/BComm in Finance at the University of Calgary, Wesley really emphasized patience and taking a step back in this episode. Being less inclined to the "Big Honcho" stereotype, we hope Wesley provided you, the listener with a fresh perspective!

I'm sorry it has taken so long, but I had plant development cycles to memorize so I think that is a valid excuse - Keaton
This week Keaton sat down with someone who has influenced himself and Cale greatly, Jaron Lauber. Jaron & Keaton met in 2018 at Augustana, and Cale soon after in 2020. Jaron knows everything about plants (he's a farmer), anatomy and sports medicine (one of the past trainers who kept the Vikings alive on the floor, mostly Darian and Spencer's decrepit selves) and psychology (he basically took a BA in psych, took every psych class he could get his hands on) although he was credited with a BA in Phys Ed. from the University of Alberta in 2020.
Jaron has also modelled exceptional leadership on the D-Floor. From 2018-2020 you find him frequenting Tap Room and Old Cinema's on the dimly lit Camrose weekend's.
Hopefully this gives you, the listener, a classic Albertan perspective on this episode of WMYH!

This week Keaton sat down with one of his first friends, Michael Mackenzie.
He's known Michael since they met in Mme. Lisa's first grade class in 2006. Michael was a religious skier when he was growing up, the guy would regale stories of dropping cliffs at 10 years old. Michael spoke about being an avid people person, the struggle with online school, taking a year off and much more! Michael is currently living in Regina, Saskatchewan! So hopefully that gives you, the listener a different perspective. We hope you enjoyed this episode of WMYH!

In this edition, Keaton sat down with one of his best friends! That being, Emma Silvestri who he has had the pleasure of knowing since 2015. Emma is a student at the U of C, on the cusp of graduating with a BA in Sociology. The whole time i've known Emma there has been one consistency in her whirlwind of a personality. She's loyal, and helpful almost to a fault. Emma will solve other peoples problems while her own life slowly deteriorates around her, and we love her for it!
This episode is long, but it is full of a real (and somewhat violent, my bad) conversation that will hopefully give you, the listener a different perspective. We hope you enjoyed this episode of WMYH!

SEASON FINALE, LET'S GO.
This week, we're pumped cause Keaton got to talk about stoicism, something that has been helping him significantly over the past few months.
Covering a bunch of different "topics" (ADHD man, it's how it goes). Such as the Zeno of Cidium/Cyprus and Logos to the power of breathing and Copernicus' heliocentric theory. We have really enjoyed the journey we've taken over the last 6 months and we thank you for your time and support!
We hope you enjoy the conversation, and we can't wait to have more of them in Season 2 of TFITRPC!

This week, Cale sat down with his friend Ryleigh Browne! Ryleigh is a proud recipient of a Diploma in Architectural Technology (2021), dedicated dog Mom to Paul, and a great human being in general. This week, Keaton sat down and talked about some different topics than usual. With some less direct connections, he explored the influence of Music, Film & Literature on our spiritual/emotional lives. From the influence of a Chance the Rapper song, to lessons learned from Percy Jackson. He also spoke on the impacts of a good film and the potential lessons learned from Cinematic media! It was out of the normal structure of our content, so we hope you enjoy!

So this week, Keaton sat down with a friend of his from high school! Alison is a dedicated student (BSc Biochem/Microbiology), athlete (UVic Women's soccer) but most importantly of all she is a dedicated friend. This episode is long, but it is full of a genuine conversation that will hopefully give you, the listener a different perspective. I hope you enjoyed this episode of WMYH!

This part of the episode focused on John Dewey's Pragmatic Philosophy as well as the different truths symbolism can provide in our world! We understand thinking and reflecting about your own thoughts can be draining, but we believe it's a necessary trait in being an adaptable student/person. We hope you enjoy!

This week, Keaton and Cale sat down and spoke about varying theories of knowledge and explored the question of "How do we know what's true"? From the scientific method to Thomas Kuhn's paradigms, we looked into how far can we use this rational thinking as human beings who are driven by emotion!

WMYH is BACK!
This week I sat down with one of my best friends and asked him a few questions about what makes him happy. He spoke about his life so far and the influence of sports, music and people on his everyday being!

This part of the episode focused on the changing dynamics in the world of coaching. These changes are in response to the heightened focus on athlete mental health/wellness in sport. We took the opportunity to explore Drabiuk's wellspring of knowledge and demonstrate the ideals he has been teaching us for the past few years. Let us and Drabs know what you thought of this week's conversation, and, thanks for listening!

BOOM! Welcome to the inaugural episode of "What makes you happy?" - Ep. 1: Andrew Samuel
This week I sat down with a man who I have known since 2012. Andrew Samuel is a member of the Trinity Western University Spartans Men's soccer team, and a solid dude. The entire time I have known Andrew, one thing has been clear. He is as strong as an ox and not purely physically. He continually impresses me with his mental fortitude and work ethic. Andrew spoke on his journey so far, touching on topics like:
- Soccer/Athletics
- His deep rooted christian faith
- The influence of his family, peers and more!
