People-pleasing can be detrimental because it often involves sacrificing one's own needs, desires, and values in order to gain approval or avoid conflict. It can lead to feelings of resentment, burnout, and a lack of fulfillment in the long run. Additionally, constantly seeking validation from others can hinder personal growth and autonomy. I hope that you find peace in this episode and remember there is nothing wrong with simply saying, “no.” - Xx Bloomie Brained

I have been going to Optimal Bio for three years now, and the changes in my life and overall health have been drastic. This is a topic I am wildly passionate about sharing and telling my own story about, so I thought, "Who better to share it with than Candi herself!"

Between the supplementation, hormone replacement therapy, bloating, birth control, and energy discussions there are so many nuggets of knowledge to hone in on. I pray that this episode gives you clarity on something maybe you have been wondering or struggling with.

If you have any further questions don't hesitate to reach out over Instagram @bloomiebrained @optimalbio

You can also visit optimalbio.com to find a location near you, or call (919)-977-3231

I hope you enjoy this episode and I am excited to bring on more medical and health professionals to the show in the near future!

Peace and many many blessings. Until next time, stay Bloomie Brained...

Today I sit with my longtime hometown friend, Gabe Hines. Gabe is an inspiration to me for many reasons, and I think they will intrigue you as well. The first time we recorded this episode, the entire file was unexpectedly deleted. As devastating as it was, we had faith that a better episode would be recorded in the future. The first time we recorded we were in the podcast studio in my home, so actually having cameras and filming in a studio is already a million times better. I cannot tell you guys enough how excited I am to be sharing this episode with you. Make sure to give Gabe a follow as well if you enjoy the episode! IG: @gabrielhines_

Cameron is back on the show this week, and boy does he have a beautiful story to share, or coming to Christ if you will. Cameron and I have had strangely similar timelines when it comes to spirituality and awakenings, and I think that some of this has to do with our fathers both passing away on December 17th 2019. Regardless of being close to your parent or not, when the person that played a part brining you into this world passes away you can't help but to question everything you once knew in turn seeing life through a different lens. You will notice that our journeys didn't just happen overnight or immediately after our fathers passing. The journey extends far past that life experience taking place as we didn't want tragedy to be the reason we turned to Christ. Each of us wanted to find it on our own at the exact right time, and little did we know all we had to do was search from within. I hope that you enjoy today's episode. XX Bloomie

I was reading John O’Leary’s book ‘On Fire’ recently about living a radically inspired life, and he spoke of our true stories in life. Not the story that we tell on a first date, a job interview, or at cocktail hour, the story. The one where you have overcome something and in the process of overcoming it has shaped you into the person you are today and along the way you have become sharper, mentally stronger, and far more resilient than you ever knew you could be. The story that you feel like drug you to hell and back.

In his book he encourages his readers to share their stories. I began thinking to myself, “Wow, I have been doing this for a few years now, and I’ve really never had an article or podcast solely dedicated to what my family and I went through.”

Many of you may not be aware of this, but this is actually how my blog and podcast came to fruition. With the general theme and premise being “feel good” and “mental health” my initial vision statement, was “I don’t care if I ever make any money from this, as long as my content reaches one person, just one single person that is maybe in the same headspace my father was in leading up to committing and can help them down off of the mental ledge they are on that is all that will ever matter. If I can just help get through to one person, that’s all I need.” Because truthfully, I wish there were more resources my dad could have leaned into heavily before deciding to end it all.

I mean yes this may look like a hobby, but truly at times it feels like a mission God has sent me on. If I had it my way, I would be living on a ranch somewhere with babies, bunnies, goats, and no social media. With that being said, it matters a lot to me to be able to vulnerably share my own story in hopes of helping or inspiring others.

Because at the end of the day it’s already happened and there’s nothing that I can do about it other than to share it in hopes of helping a hurting world and growing myself. The only evidence of life is growth John O’Leary says, so if you’re not growing, you’re dying simply put.

This week on the Bloomie Brained podcast I would like to introduce you guys to my dear friend, Julian Smith. Julian is a powerhouse of a man who always inspires those around him. He is the owner of Brighterlight Media and the husband of my friend Taylor Keeping Smith, who was on the show two episodes ago! I adore the two of them and what they stand for, so it was simply divine to be able to have both of them on recently.Julian thrives when he is creating. He is one of the most talented videographers that I know, and it truly fills his heart to see his customers satisfied. His ability to remain internally focused despite the distractions of the external world is immensely inspiring. I will never forget the time that he corrected me for saying something in my life was "hard." He suggested that I use the word "challenging" instead. This one small piece of advice he offered me changed my perspective in many large ways to come. So I hope that the next fifty minutes with Julian resonate deeply and that you leave with at least one takeaway or mental shift in perspective. I wanted to pick Julian's brain about motivation because at times it can be so easy to feel uninspired, leading to a lack of motivation. So how does he keep the momentum on a daily basis you might ask? Listen in as he takes us through his daily routine and shares the things he has left behind to continue pursuing his dreams and goals. Follow Julian and his business pages on Instagram! @kingg_juless @brighterlightmedia and co-owner of his wife's business @keepingitglam As always- to shop my style, skincare, haircare, supplements, home decor, fav books, makeup, etc... https://www.shopltk.com/search?keyword=bloomiebrained&type=post

Brains!!! Prepare to be ab(soul)utely blown away by Megan Pearson's touching story. Megan was in the hospital for COVID-19 and pneumonia when the doctors diagnosed her with acute respiratory failure. Megan's experience brought her through hell and back, but she said, "Not today satan!" Nothing, and I mean nothing can stop this girl from sharing her story if it means helping others. She vulnerably speaks about these intimate details of her life in hopes of inspiring anyone who is, or has been facing one of the hardest battles of their entire life. You can't help but fall in love with her adoring personality and award-winning smile as she reveals things many of us could never dream of. It can seem pretty absurd to wrap your mind around the fact that this gorgeous, healthy girl you all see today was indeed in a coma for two weeks and actually coded twice. Saying someone coded means they died briefly. Let that sink in for a moment. She gets to have this experience and cross "podcast" off of her bucket list because she didn't give up. She pushed through even when she questioned her own identity and was the unhealthiest she had ever felt and looked in her entire life. Megan is a true warrior. You can see the resilience beam in her eyes as she radiates love and light. She kept her faith so that she could turn her pain into purpose or "mess into message" as I like to say. And she did just that, shortly after being released from the hospital with starting her own charity and raising a whopping 27k for other patients in the ICU to have Alexa devices! You will hear why this meant so much to her in her story. If you felt inspired by Megan's story, make sure to give her a follow on Instagram! @meganppearson As always, don't forget to follow me on LTKI for all things style, skincare, health, haircare, and wellness! In episode 18, I interview Taylor Keeping Smith the owner of Keeping It Glam and host of My Happy Place Podcast on all things love, life, marriage, and business. Taylor and her husband Julian are friends of mine, and I have always admired their relationship. Additionally, I admire their faith and relationship with God. I think it can be challenging to work with someone that you love whether it be a parent, sibling, or partner; so hearing the inside scoop on how they grab the bull by the horns and haven't hoped off the ride when things naturally get difficult from time to time is truly inspiring. Taylor has so much wisdom to bestow on the younger generation when it comes to being a female boss in love. I truly cannot wait to see where these dear friends of mine are in five years from now, because they are certainly making big waves and planting stellar seeds in the community daily! Make sure to follow them on Instagram for all of your beauty, videography, and podcast needs @queenn_tayy @keepingitglam @myhappyplacepodcast and @kingg_juless To shop my style, skincare, haircare, supplements, and trinkets visit https://www.shopltk.com/search?keyword=bloomiebrained&type=post

“It’s ok to not be ok.” This is a quote that brings with it an immense amount of comfort, simultaneously allowing us to be human and embrace all of the emotions and experiences whether good or bad that make us human. If life were meant to be easy, I am convinced that it would have come with an instruction manual, but it didn’t. So it’s our job as humans to seek knowledge on a daily basis, in turn creating our own instruction manual on how to live happy and healthy. I believe in you, and I know that you believe in yourself because you are simply AWESOME! My hopes in sharing the real and raw texture of the not so pleasant experiences I have faced in my life is to inspire others with the belief that things do get better. To get the rainbow you must first deal with the rain as Dolly Parton once said. We all experience pain in our lives that can make things feel like one big mess. I encourage you to turn your mess into message and your pain into purpose! You are not alone. To watch the full video follow “bloomiebrained” on YouTube, and don’t forget to connect with my on Instagram! Enjoy the podcast. Xo Bloomie Brained. Song: A Parallel Breath by Jospeh Beg

Everyone meet Anthony! I was instantly drawn to Anthony's calm nature and admired his dedication to his craft. His stories are all equally as exciting as they are inspiring. I think what intrigues me the very most is his capability to say no to the things he knows do not serve him physically, financially, emotionally, and spiritually. This can be immensely challenging for all of us at times, but it's vital to see the bigger picture. The bigger picture is, "is this relationship, substance, food, or material object going to propel me forward on my journey or pull me back?" Food for thought.

I hope that this episode inspires you to let go of something that is holding you back from becoming your highest self. You came into this world alone and one day you will leave this world alone; use the resources in between wisely.

Follow Anthony on IG if you enjoyed our conversation and would like to keep up with his interesting life! @anthonypl97

On today's episode I have a very special guest, Amber Law from @innerguidancehypnosis and the owner of @healing_leavesnc in Wilmington, NC.

Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic practice that uses guided hypnosis to help a client achieve a trance-like state of focus, concentration, diminished peripheral awareness, and heightened suggestibility.

The American Psychological Association and American Medical Association have recognized hypnotherapy as a valid procedure since 1958, and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) has recommended it as a treatment for chronic pain since 1995.

I share intimate details of my own personal session with Amber, and the benefits that I have left with are truly profound. I feel more grounded on a daily basis. My heart has been able to able to heal wounds that have been open majority of my life. If you have the chance to treat yourself to a hypnotherapy session at Healing Leaves definitely go for it! If you're not in Wilmington, not to worry; they offer zoom sessions as well.

Happy New Year everyone! I am tremendously excited to kick off 2023 with not one heartfelt message, but twenty-five of them. My Birthday is September 13th, so I started working on these about six months prior to my birthday. Initially I thought I would release this in honor of my birthday, but it wasn't finished. Being the perfectionist I am, I didn't intend on rushing this project. Now you see, this is a perfect example of everything being aligned because I couldn't think of a better time than now, in the new year, to release this episode. I hope that you enjoy, and are able to carry a piece of today's episode with you at all times in hopes of living to the fullest and turning your dreams into reality this year.

If you enjoy listening, maybe you will enjoy watching this episode as well.

Alexa is a dear friend of mine, whom I love endlessly. Her knowledge surrounding holistic living and wellness is intriguing to say the least! She is someone who allows you to come as you are, sit with your feelings, and tap into your emotions far more than anyone else that I know. It is refreshing to be around her. I could truly write a book about Alexa. If you ever have the chance to do reiki with her, take a yoga class, or take one of her online courses you will be glad you did! She is an absolute Earth angel. So when she introduced me to Bob, her partner, I couldn’t believe it. They were a match made in heaven! Bob has a calming presence that relaxes you to your core. Probably why he’s so gifted at his guided meditations and motivational speaking! They are headed out to explore the world, so I will link there socials below if you would like to keep up with them. I hope that you enjoy this episode. They poured their hearts out on what they believe it takes to build a foundation for love that lasts. On today’s episode, Cameron and I dive into a plethora of different, yet compelling topics. You can’t help but be attracted to Cam’s authenticity. He is real to the core and this is something that I admire. I appreciate the honesty with his comedic and romantic life. This honesty is what led us deep in to conversation about transcendental meditation. I was truly taken aback by all of his knowledge on meditation! People who meditate frequently or daily all share something in common; They all share a comforting sense of overall well-being. Almost like they are ok, and they know that everything else will also be ok. I see purity in their eyes, and hearts. This is why I encourage everyone to meditate at least 5 or 10 minutes daily. You will reap in an entire world of mental, physical, and spiritual benefits. Meditation changed my life and health for the better, so I am ecstatic that the episode was pulled in this direction with Cam today. We hope that you enjoy! If you’re also attracted to Cameron’s authenticity make sure to give him a follow on Instagram- @cumsmut

On today’s episode, Lee and I dive into a plethora of topics head on. The general theme of each topic being mental, physical, and emotional well being. Life can be hard, and it didn’t come with an instruction manual. No more brushing mental health under the rug. The time is now to take the reigns back on your life by prioritizing your mental health. This is the most supported we have ever been in history doing so. Especially for men. Many of you know I am an advocate for suicide prevention and relief. For those of you who don’t know, I lost my father to suicide December 17th of 2019. This followed by the global pandemic put even more emphasis on how important taking care of our mental health is. Once I started my blog, bloomiebrained.com I knew that I would eventually want to get into interviewing interesting characters whom I believe possess an important message that could be shared globally. When Lee contacted me about being on the podcast, I noticed that the first three number’s for his cellphone are the same as my Dad’s birthday. This was a synchronicity I simply could not ignore, so I decided he would be the first ever guest on the show! I hope that you enjoy listening. Don’t forget to subscribe, and checkout the blog if it compels you. Peace and love. Lee’s page is @thealchemistlee on Instagram.

Relationships in life can feel superficial when they are being based solely on physical matter and materialistic pleasures. Whether or not you have been boasted up, or shot down by someone about your appearance; You are beautiful, but you are more than your beauty. You are a soul. You are energy, and beauty is fleeting. Maybe you don’t feel beautiful on the outside. We all have these days where we feel like this, but guess what? You are the one that sees yourself in the mirror every single day of your life. It’s completely normal to get a little bored of the same sight everyday. Switch it up, or come as you are. It really doesn’t matter as long as you are yourself. Focus on the inside, and what people see on the outside will act as a direct representation of the inside. Anyone who doesn’t see you for who you are, and chooses to focus on your physical attributes in turn giving them a positive or negative connotation isn’t worth your time. It’s not their job to tell you about yourself. They should strive to get to know you and build off of that, not decide they know you based off of how you look. I hope this resonates. Peace and love to all.
