On the fifth episode of The Commerce Show, I speak with Richard Cohene from Busbud. Richard is an eCommerce expert and a brand builder who started as a "Power Seller" on eBay where it all begun with him investing all his personal savings successfully reselling lots of snowboard stuff.
After few years, he moved to be the marketing coordinator at Beyond the Rack a Montreal revolutionary flash sale startup at that time (2009). It was a membership-based shopping club. He took charge of the marketing of the company to bring Beyond the Rack a pretty huge growth and then moved to Facebook to become in charge of the success of large eCommerce retailers.
After spending 2 years at the social network giant, Richard decided to go back in the retailer seat with a new insider look and accepted the CMO role at Groupe Dynamite owners of Dynamite / Garage well known retail chain in Canada. He there explored the power of mobile apps for retail and he's talking about it in the podcast.
Richard is now the CMO at Busbud the online marketplace that enables global travellers to shop for and book intercity bus tickets on over 4 million bus routes worldwide.
