Many women don't consider themselves "leaders", because we've been conditioned to define leadership through the 'male lense'. So rather than working on our leadership skills, we need to work on our beliefs about what it means to be a good leader. And that's exactly what I've done: After some research, I've discovered 5 female Leadership Archetypes that I'm presenting in this episode. PLUS: I've created a Quiz for you to figure out which type you are! Head over to the show notes to take the quiz!
Do you consider yourself a leader? If so, why? If not, how come? Many women do not see themselves as leaders - but that has more to do with their definition of it, than with their capabilities. According to Kayla, "women are the greatest untapped resource that modern society has, to progress us forward". Why? Because we're not operating at our full capacity - due to a sheer lack of knowledge about our biorhythm, hormonal cycles, and biological 'superpowers', which are completely different to a male's. Listen to this episode to find out - Why women are particularly capacitated to deal with chaos or inconsistency - What female leadership looks like (and why we're so fit to be leaders) - Understanding your cycle and how to make it work for you (not be an 'annoyance') - How to use your body wisdom to increase and showcase your brilliance in a more effortless way Session notes can be found at www.camillaquintana.com/podcast/episode52

A life across borders will inevitably make you feel lonely from time to time. But this will be more bearable if you have a good and solid relationship with yourself! I got a fun episode for you today! First of all because we'll talk about confidence: it often takes a hit when we move abroad. As we find ourselves far outside our comfort zone, trying to navigate a different country, culture and language and to make new friends... it's easy to start feeling more insecure, uncertain, questioning and second-guessing yourself and your actions. And yet, confidence is key in the way we view ourselves and others and in our ability to thrive and prosper. And in this episode I'll show you what confidence is made up of why a move abroad can make it shrink why you need it and 4 practical things you can do to get your confidence back! But this episode also includes: * a personal invitation and * an exclusive listen to one of the Spanish Salsa songs I recorded in my early 20s! Over the years I've encountered some interesting phenomena many expat wives experience as a result of relocating. Namely: * weight gain or loss * becoming a people pleaser * shifts relationship dynamic (from relying more on each other to resenting one another) As a rule, I believe that talking about such issues and growing self-aware will dissolve much of their mystery and the grip they have over you. So join me for this conversation - where I'll share my own struggles with these phenomena, my reflections on them, lots of compassion and valuable inspiration to free yourself of any patterns that do not serve you! We all carry both masculine and feminine energy inside of us. But in today's world, the latter is vastly underrepresented. This is an imbalance which is harmful to all of us. But it’s particularly harmful for us women. By re-connecting with our feminine energy we can find more flow in our lives, business and relationships. We can excel in new ways and avoid burnout and depletion. In this episode you'll learn: why we are in desperate need to re-connect to our feminine (everyone and in all areas of life) how to tap into your inner wisdom how doing "less" can allow you to achieve more the power of cyclical living (in tune with your menstrual cycle or the moon phases) how to create more polarity and harmony in your romantic relationship and about the power of collaborating with each other, instead of competing Please visit for the session notes. I'm very curious to hear your thoughts on this episode, as it's a more unconventional topic (but a favorite of mine): e-mail me at and let me know!
Navigating life in a different culture is full of challenges. Even in seemingly similar countries and cultures, expats encounter differences, obstacles and misunderstandings. But when the culture is so different that there's little to no reference at all for you to understand it - you're in for a roller coaster ride! This is what happened to Nicole Webb, when she moved to Xi'an, China with her family. In her book "China Blonde", she narrates her experiences during 3 years of calling this city her home. Hello lovely ladies all over the world and welcome to "The Empowered Expat Wife" podcast. Many of you may know me already since I’ve been dedicating my work to women like us for the past few years. But for those of you who don’t let me quickly introduce myself: I‘m Camilla Quintana, I‘m a certified Life and Relationship Coach for expat wives and I have been an expat, re-pat and lovepat for the past 2 decades – in part, following my husband’s international career together with our multicultural, bilingual kids. Being an expat wife is a journey of mixed emotions and unique challenges that others often can’t relate to. It also puts many women in a position of more dependency than they’d like and many of my clients feel like they can’t find their own place and “don’t see eye to eye” with their partners anymore. Enter: The Empowered Expat Wife Podcast. This is a project very close to my heart because so often am I confronted with the fact that expat and diplomatic spouses fall through the cracks and have a harder time creating 👉 an independent and self-sufficient life for themselves 👉 A strong relationship and happy, stable home for their families 👉 financial security and retirement arrangements 👉 a professional track record and income generation 👉 long-lasting support networks to fall back on Meanwhile, statistics underline that the divorce rate among expat and diplomatic couples is elevated, which leaves these women in a vulnerable position. Of course, there’s a lot we can gain from our international lifestyle and relationships, and I believe we'll achieve that by becoming EMPOWERED. My mission for this Podcast is to help foreign born spouses 💪 get on top of the game 💪 live secure and self-sufficient lives in the midst of relocations 💪 find meaning and purpose across borders 💪 create a harmonious home for their multicultural families 💪 and learn how to turn their challenges into opportunities. So make sure to tune in every Thursday! And in the meantime head over to my website or follow me on social media @coach.camillaquintana I can’t wait to be with you soon and I’ll see you in the next episode!
