The teaching of spiritual covering is prominent within the New Apostolic Reformation. This teaching states that believers are to come up under a leader, typically an apostle, so that they can run with the vision set by that leader. By doing this, they will gain protection and blessings, and they will reproduce the spiritual fruit of that leader. However, it is also taught that leaving a spiritual covering results in demonic attacks and curses, as that spiritual protection is no longer available apart from the leader and his/her anointing. Is this a Biblical teaching?

What does it mean to be spiritually lukewarm? Depending on the belief, some may perceive it as not doing enough in order to validate one's faith profession, such as not praying enough, fasting enough, or not doing enough in the way of signs and wonders. Others may perceive it as not participating in activities, such as watching movies or television shows. Some leaders may use the term "all in" to refer to being fully committed to God, and those who do not meet the criteria set by such leaders are viewed as being lukewarm.
Join me as we look at this belief system, testing it against Scripture, and we consider a more balanced and Biblical view of what it means to be lukewarm.

We live in a time when social media and digital technology is a prominent tool to disseminate messages as well as doctrinal beliefs at the touch of a button. There are drawbacks to such availability and power. There is reputable content, and there is questionable content flying under the radar of aesthetics with passable or recognizable terminology.
There is now a rise in people wanting to build their own brands and digital kingdoms on these platforms. Clickbait material and sensational subjects are being used in order to funnel people to channels and followings. One of the things being used to validate this practice is the gospel. The belief in supernatural or pain free childbirth has been around for years. The claims surrounding this teaching tell women that Jesus Christ paid the price on the price for us to walk in victory, and one of the things promised to us is that we can have a pain free childbirth without complications and trauma. Words are viewed as a powerful thing, and faith is exercised in conception, pregnancy, and delivery, as you claim what rightfully belongs to you. Where did this teaching originate?

There are additional categories for prophets created within the prophetic movement, arguably convoluting the ability to call one a false prophet. Numerous self-professing prophets declared to know the results of the 2020 election before it occurred. However, not one of them prophesied accurately, resulting in much confusion and a massive blemish on the prophetic movement. A few of these individuals made public statements concerning their error while also stating that a false prophecy did not make one a false prophet. There were statements of shutting down a ministry as the Lord had directed following this mistake. Is an apology the same as repentance, and was that ministry shut down?

There are numerous teachings on deliverance ministry. Many ministers holding to this belief may put a personal prophetic or revelatory spin on deliverance teaching. The recent release of the Cessationist film, along with next year's Cessationist conference has gotten numerous people talking, and it has ruffled some feathers. The practice of speaking in tongues, or a private prayer language, is a fundamental teaching in the Charismatic movement. However, there are teachings in the hyper charismatic movement that go beyond this teaching, incorporating additional elements with this experience. One such instance occurred when a group of people were encouraged by their leader to touch a whiteboard so as to encounter the power and the anointing of God. On this whiteboard was written a prayer language.
Is this a Biblical practice, or is this encroaching on New Age practices? Should we normalize such teachings? What about the belief of the private prayer language and its history?
Join me as we take a look at this practice and some concerns surrounding such practices. We will also take a look at the beliefs of Charles Fox Parham, the father of Pentecostalism, regarding tongues.

Prophecy and those claiming to prophesy are subject to testing and to judgment. No one is immune to this scrutiny, including yours truly. The pressure to be relevant and significant can be overwhelming when part of such a movement as the hyper charismatic movement. Success can be viewed as having a public platform with a massive following or flowing in might and power. It is not exclusive to men or women.

Revival is a popular term used in many Christian circles, and depending upon who you ask, revival means different things. In the Charismatic movement, the call for revival and even reformation is popular and sought after. A new revival is being presented in this movement called the Communion Revival, stating that the blood of Jesus will sweep America and souls will be saved by believers putting their differences aside and coming together to receive communion. In light of the recent midterm election in the United States, modern day professing prophets were decreeing victory months to days preceding the elections. From a red wave and the alleged significance of a blood moon on the day of the election to prophetic acts in sealing political and societal victory, there was no shortage of proclamations correlating with dominion theology.
However, political results and societal or cultural change is not true victory.

There are teachings in the prophetic movement that modern prophecy can be fallible and that false prophets are recognized by impure motives rather than false prophecies. There are prophecies given by those claiming to be prophets while telling the church the word can be received or dismissed while claiming an extraordinary unverified encounter with God. Practices akin to the occult and New Age and language foreign to the gospel and absent of the gospel are being presented to people in the name of calling it prophecy. I believe these practices are an assault on sola Scriptura.

On October 10, 2022, a five page statement was released online titled NAR and Christian Nationalism Statement. Dr. Michael Brown and Joseph Mattera were said to have co-drafted this document. A handful of signatures from known leaders in the Charismatic movement were noted on the statement, along with a few hundred ministers to date. This document attempted to address some of the issues regarding the New Apostolic Reformation as well as Christian nationalism. Or did it?

Self-controlled, respectable, gentle, and not quarrelsome. These are some of the qualifications found in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9 for an overseer of the church. Peter exhorted the elders to shepherd the flock of God without compulsion, shameful gain, and without being domineering in 1 Peter 5:1-4. In the middle of the second century, a man by the name of Montanus arrived in Phrygia and began displaying ecstatic utterances alongside two women who ultimately left their husbands to participate as prophetesses of what would be called the New Prophecy. This movement focused on several things, but the basis of this movement rested on divine revelation given by the Holy Spirit.
Montanism is said to have died centuries ago, but as we look through history and even today in the current hyper charismatic/ NAR movement, there appears to be echoes of their practices and beliefs.

Many of us can pinpoint a specific time when a life changing moment occurred. Isaiah 55:10,11 says, "For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it." This passage is a comfort and joy to me, and it reminds me personally that God is faithful to His Word, and He is mighty to save.

Some call it nonsense and a conspiracy theory. Others call it a myth. I call it a movement because that is what Peter Wagner called it. What is it you may ask? One of the things that has come to light in exiting such a movement as the hyper charismatic movement is the lack of peace one has within this movement. For lack of a better word, there is a growing pressure to have supernatural encounters and experiences and to walk in power and authority so that true victory can be seen in one's life. The problem is that when victory is based upon what you do or attest to in experience, the peace of God is nowhere to be found. People may not understand that the peace of God is possible even in difficult situation and circumstances, which are not desired while in this earth, but they are part of our lives now.
Join me as we discuss the importance of peace with God and the peace of God, the difference between the two, and how this compares to some of the things perpetuated in this movement, resulting in a lack of true peace found only in Christ.

What would you do if you could travel back in time? There are teachings within areas of the Charismatic church promoting the teaching of time travel. Those who teach this and testify of it themselves state that we can go back in time to receive healing in our bloodlines and to recreate memories. Going to the future is alleged as possible, grabbing hold of promises and bringing them into our now. What transpired in the last several days surrounding the overturning of Roe versus Wade has not changed hearts but it has revealed the hearts of men and women. Reflecting on various things said by professing believers, self professing prophets, and unbelievers has provoked thought and more resolve of the greatest answer to the issue at hand when people fight for the right to personal autonomy and to sin.

It may sound strange, but there is a practice among some who believe that laying on the grave of a man or woman of perceived great faith, healing, and miracles leads to taking up their mantles and anointing. This is referred to by many as grave soaking. One such grave sought for this practice is the resting place of Kathryn Kuhlman.

When David wrote psalm 13 to the Lord, he was in despair and lamenting before God. This was not uncommon to David. He was transparent before the Lord because he knew that nothing was hidden from Him. Yet in his despair, he trusted in His steadfast love, rejoicing in the Lord’s salvation. He sang to the Lord, realizing that though his despair was plentiful, God’s ways toward him were more bountiful.
This is a beautiful picture of our salvation in Christ and how even in our suffering and crying out to God with a “How long, O Lord?” we remember His steadfast love in redeeming us. Our lament turns to joy as we sing of His faithfulness and His amazing grace.

1 Peter 5:6,7 says, "Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you." We can trust the Lord in bringing our cares and burdens to the Lord, knowing that His yoke is easy and His burden is light. He is to be our strength. However, many of us have put our cares on life support, holding onto them while thinking we have yielded them over to God. Thank the Lord for His patience with us in our weakness, for His Word to correct us, and His Spirit to lead us.

The Holy Spirit, the Third Person of the Trinity, has been likened at times to a force or an energy. He has been credited with manifestations such as drunkenness, holy laughter, jerking, twitching, and shaking. There are words outside of Scripture attributed to Him, encounters appearing more as conversations between two friends having coffee rather than acknowledging the holiness and reverence of God. There is talk of activating the Holy Spirit and His gifts and inviting Him to corporate gatherings.

If you have ever heard of the New Apostolic Reformation, you might have heard the name C. Peter Wagner. He is credited for coining this term and he believed that a second apostolic age began in 2001. One of the fundamental beliefs surrounding this movement is the restoration of the office of the Apostle and with that, governing authority. However, as of late, there are individuals who deny this movement exists, claiming it is a conspiracy theory on par with the Illuminati. The account in Exodus 14 of the Red Sea parting is a well known account in Scripture. This particular event is often translated into our modern times and ascribed to particular events and adversities. Often, Red Sea moments are prophesied in the current prophetic movement. Several years ago, I wrote a "prophetic word" on my blog which was shared on media outlets such as Charisma Magazine. It was about God setting the reader up for a "Red Sea moment". Since then, that "word" has been recycled on that outlet.
Join me as we take a look at some examples of others declaring "Red Sea moments" and the narcigesis taking place in such words. Maybe you have never heard of this relatively new term. We will talk about it along with examining the word I wrote several years ago.
Finally, we will turn to the Word, which is far greater than any generic prophecy, and we will see the significance of the events that occurred in Exodus 14.

Have you ever heard someone say they made Jesus their Lord and Savior? I know I have said this very thing in times past. When we look at the Word of God, we find numerous references to Jesus already being both Lord and Savior and that this is not something which is granted to Jesus by man. Romans 10:9,10 says, "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved."

Suffering. It is not a hot topic or one that garners much press, but it is relevant in the life of every believer in Christ. Of all the promises talked about as Christians, this one is avoided and potentially rejected in some teachings. If we were able to choose what we like about following Christ, we would lean towards reigning with Christ without suffering. But Scripture tells us something much different, and it does not give us choice in the matter.
Join me as we take a look at what Scripture has to say about suffering in the life of a believer and as we ponder an important question you may not have considered when going through suffering and difficulty in life. May Christ be exalted and glorified in this!

A true shepherd of Christ is marked by humility and a desire to follow Christ's example of servitude. A true shepherd understands Biblical authority and what the confines of Scripture has to say on such matters. Sadly, there are leaders who are not true shepherds but instead, a heavy hand of demanded submission and an overreach of authority is being witnessed and experienced by many. Sheep are being proverbially beaten by the rods of some leaders and teaching is conveyed in such a way to demand loyalty, honor, and blind submission. Consequences are issued for defecting. Those true sheep who are bleeding and bleating from being wounded are chided for even doing so. Where does a sheep turn in the aftermath of such situations? Are there Godly leaders that can be trusted? Is it even possible to heal and to not despise the rod of the True Shepherd, trusting Jesus Christ to lead us on the narrow path? The answer to all of those, my friend, is yes!
Join me as I share some personal insight and discuss some potential warning signs of spiritual abuse, what Scripture has to say about Godly leaders, and what is much needed for healing after coming out of such a difficult situation. There is hope. Christ is the answer!

The significance of the gospel of Jesus Christ cannot be overstated. If the true gospel is not proclaimed and if personal experience along with extrabiblical revelation takes precedence for understanding salvation, then there is a real danger of another gospel and another Christ being proclaimed to others. This is no small issue. This is an eternity issue, and the gospel matters. It is a matter of life and death.
What happens when popular individuals in particular spheres of influence are talking about seeing portals where loved ones in heaven pray for the salvation of loved ones on earth? What is said of claims that we can declare salvation for our household with the power of our own words? We are going to be looking at this today along with what the gospel truly is from a Biblical perspective.

Matthew 13 is a passage in Scripture where we find Jesus teaching in parables, and we find out the reason for why He taught in parables. I recently came across a message on this account from the Bible, and after listening to it and seeing what the Word had to say in context, I was compelled to do an abbreviated analysis of this teaching because the individual teaching on this was Ryan LeStrange. For those who may not be familiar, I was part of his ministry for almost 20 years. Join me as we take a look at Matthew 13 along with several other Bible passages, and we analyze some of the things said in this recent corporate gathering. As strangers in a foreign land, those who are believers in Christ know this place well. It is full of temptation to conduct one's self as desired. But what happens when two men walk through this town on the way to the Celestial City?

In the hyper Charismatic church, it is not uncommon to hear leaders tell of their frequent trips to heaven. Luke 19:1-10 tells the account of Jesus Christ seeking and saving the lost soul of Zacchaeus. We learn of this tax collector and his sinful ways. We also learn of his salvation and the fruit of his life in keeping with repentance because of Christ. It demonstrates the gospel at work in the life of a sinner and the work of God in the heart of one who needed the Savior.
As we go through this account, we will look at the importance of the gospel being heard by both the believer and the unbeliever. We will also briefly discuss decisional salvation, altar calls, and sharing our testimonies.
The gospel of Jesus Christ is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes. The account of Zacchaeus is encouraging for us all in remembering our vital need for the Savior.

One of the first eye opening things for me while being involved in the hyper Charismatic/ WOF/NAR movement was the twisting of Scripture. It is quite easy to do, and unfortunately, I was not immune from this practice. Taking verses straight out of context is easy to do, and it becomes easier when there is no accountability or testing taking place. Are there verses you may have been told meant one thing but when you go to look up that particular verse, you find the context in Scripture does not agree? Join me as we look at some verses and their proper context. You may be surprised by some of them, or it may confirm what you already knew from Bible study. Either way, the important lesson to learn is that we are to be students of the Word of God, and we are to understand the Bible in its proper context. Otherwise, we will be led astray.

Read any one of the psalms and you are likely to notice the type and shadow of a believer in Christ as they bare their hearts before the Lord while praising God and calling to remembrance all of His glorious ways. More times than not, we read of great moments of struggle, weakness, and even disdain for those in opposition. I was recently reading Psalm 73 and found myself reflecting on similar thoughts. The psalmist was grieved by the prosperity of the wicked, and he shared some things that resonate in our current climate and time.
How can we be encouraged by such thoughts? What can we learn from this psalm and others while not losing our focus on God? Life is such a precious gift from God. Each of us has been created in the image of God, knitted together in our mother's womb by God. I tell my daughter that God does not make mistakes. We are here by His sovereign will, and He has created us for this time and for His purposes.
One of the most polarizing topics in our society is abortion. Rather than viewing life as a gift, the opposite transpires. Death ensues from the right over one's body while imposing those rights on another's body. I wanted to talk about this today and to offer some thoughts given the recent heartbeat bill in Texas. Life is precious. The fight for the unborn is a fight worth engaging, and only One can change hearts of stone to hearts of flesh on the matter.

If you have been following the latest news, you may be painfully aware of the current state of Afghanistan. Reading of accounts from fellow believers in Christ from there is heartbreaking. It leads many of us to pray for them and to ask God to strengthen then.
One particular verse came to mind thinking on these things concerning our brothers and sisters in Christ in Afghanistan, as well as those who do not believe or commit evil acts. It was Romans 12:15, "Rejoice with those who rejoice. Weep with those who weep." Both are equally important in this situation though some may not understand why there is a reason to rejoice.
Prayer is vital right now, and the decision of these believers to remain and to minister the gospel while facing impending death is convicting and encouraging.

Have you ever misplaced something in an unlikely spot? It sure is easy to do! As embarrassing as it is, this has happened to me a time or two. It especially happens when I am distracted by things going on around me. Can you relate?
There is so much going on in our world right now, and it can easily cause us to become distracted, discouraged, and downcast. We all battle with frustration, and we can lose sight of our joy in the Lord, displacing it in the middle of distractions. As believers in Christ, we can rejoice in our salvation even when all seems bleak. I hope this episode encourages you in your faith in Jesus Christ in these times.

Prayer is a vital part of our walk with the Lord Jesus Christ. As Christians, we cannot and should not go without prayer in our lives. God has granted us the privilege to pray in accordance with His will and to serve others in the area of prayer.
Over the past year, my personal understanding of prayer has changed drastically. The Bible has been so helpful in this change. I want to share with you some things about prayer to consider. There were many things I misunderstood about prayer, and it wasn't until I took the time to search the Word of God about this that I began to see the error of my ways. The correction came at the right time! I pray this blesses you and eases your burdens in times of prayer.

What does the Bible have to say about suffering? For some, they might believe that suffering is simply not meant to be part of the life of a believer in Christ. They may shy away from such talk. But the Bible actually has a great deal to say about suffering, particularly for the sake of Christ.
I ponder this in my own life at times and think on my own ability to despise suffering and to wear my cross rather than bear my cross. We suffer in this world, and as Christians, we suffer to reign with Christ, the One who set the example for us to follow.

As someone who was in more of a hyper Charismatic church, speaking in tongues or praying in tongues was not foreign to me. In fact, I did for years, having my own private prayer language. After much studying in the Word and reading, I began to realize what being Spirit filled meant from a Biblical perspective. It was not at all what I once was taught. For those who have come out of this same type of environment, you may certainly relate.
I pray this sparks fruitful conversations glorifying Christ and helps to sharpen us as His disciples. This podcast will be focusing on what the Bible has to say about being Spirit filled and what transpired after individuals were filled with the Holy Spirit. Did tongues follow every time? Prophetic dreams and visions. Supernatural manifestations. I used to view these occurrences as attaining greater spiritual understanding and that they should be occurring with normalcy. Scripture gives us some insight on dreams and how we are to view such things. For those who are in the prophetic movement, dream interpretation is sought with even the use of a dream dictionary. Now being an observer looking in, I began pondering on any similarities that the New Age may have with this particular subject. I recently took a trip to the local large chain bookstore in order to see if the New Age had dream dictionaries. What I found was more unpleasant similarities with what I had once been involved, leading me to talk about this and the need to take a Biblical perspective on the topic of dreams and visions, among other related things.

Let me ask you a question. Do you ever have to resist the urge to be "salty"? I do not mean in the Biblical way. I mean in the way of the world. The temptation is there for all of us at one time or another. Yet the Word reminds us to have our words seasoned with salt (Colossians 4:6) and that we are the salt of the earth (Matthew 5:13).

I don't know if you have heard Psalm 42 yet by Shane and Shane. If you haven't, I encourage you to go have a listen and then go and read Psalm 42 in the Bible. You know, there are specific verses I have heard through the years and I thought they meant one thing until I took the time to go and read it in context. Psalm 42:7 was one of those verses for me. I had the meaning completely wrong, and now that I understand it better, the entire psalm has been a blessing when navigating the troubled waters life holds at times. Without Christ, it is impossible.
There are times in the past few years where I have personally felt weary and broken. It has been a lonely time and yet, God is always there. The psalms help us to embrace being bare before the Lord in our trials and in our triumphs. Maybe you have found yourself in a time of asking God, "Have you forgotten me?" Maybe there seems no end to the breakers and the waves in life. Maybe you have been cast down, and you need a reminder to hope in Christ alone and to remember that He is your salvation. There are topics I mull over for a while before I talk about them. This is one of those topics. I never considered myself legalistic when entrenched in the Charismatic church, but I am here to tell you that it is indeed possible and present. I hope you read this understanding that it comes from a place of love and concern for those who have reached out to me and shared how much freedom they now have after coming out of the teachings and such perpetuated in some of these movements. My desire as always is that Christ would be glorified and that the truth would set others free.

Have you ever heard a statement that left you with more questions than an answer? What if that statement seemed to contradict Scripture? Today's blog post has to do with the prophetic and the belief that error is justified or even expected today. One prophet in the New Testament is used to support this belief, and his name is Agabus. But was Agabus incorrect in prophesying to Paul in Acts 21? I am here to come to the defense of Agabus. I wanted to share those with you today and to encourage those of you who may have been told to not use reasoning or to even not think with your mind about spiritual things out of fear that you will quench the Spirit or limit God. A few weeks ago, I came across the Prophetic Standard Statement and took the time to read through it. Upon reading it, I was compelled to write some questions and express some thoughts concerning this document. We are living in times when we must be willing to share the truth in love and to point people back to Jesus Christ while standing upon the Word of God as the solid foundation of truth. Finally, all that we do must be in love. I write and record these podcasts out of love and concern for others because I wish that someone had done the same for me. Whether you agree or disagree with the few areas addressed here in this episode, I hope that you will be compelled back to Scripture for the ultimate standard.

If you have ever struggled with feeling weak in prayer or in life as a whole when facing tough times, this episode is to help you. We have all felt that way at one time or another, and it is encouraging to know that our weakness is something which we are to embrace as believers in Christ. There are numerous others in Scripture who were weak in times of prayer. The apostle Paul was one of them. 2 Corinthians 12 is a great reminder for us that weakness is not to be despised, but it is to be used for HIs glory and to be perfected in His strength. Have you been taught about different spirits that are not apparent in Scripture? Have you been plagued with the thought that you may have a religious spirit, an orphan spirit, or even a Jezebel spirit? I find it interesting now that all of this talk of demonic indwelling, demonology, and erroneous spirits operating in people is not said of the world necessarily, but it is said to Christians concerning fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. I began to notice a few years ago while reading the Bible that I could not find some of these spirits mentioned though dozens of books can be purchased that are dedicated to extrabiblical knowledge concerning them. There are entire doctrines being built upon the presence of these spirits. Rather than going on personal experience, we should be asking if this is Biblical or if people are being led off into myths. Join me today as we look at some of these teachings and test them against Scripture. There is great freedom found in the Word of God!

Jesus refers to Himself as the good Shepherd a few times in John 10. He calls those who follow Him His sheep. Have you ever thought of yourself as a sheep? It may not seem flattering as sheep are defenseless and are prone to wander and to get into dire predicaments, but it seems quite fitting given our ways at times. We desperately need the good Shepherd! Join me as we discuss this further, looking at John 10 and talking about ways that we can wander from Christ. As we approach this weekend and our celebration and reflection on the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, I wanted to share this post with you focusing on Colossians 3:16. It may seem an unlikely passage to bring to our remembrance for this time, but I found myself pondering on the word of Christ dwelling richly within us and the importance of it.
Thank God for His Word and for the gospel that has saved us from the wrath of God. We praise God for sending His Son into the world, and we thank Him for new life. We praise Him that our old self dies and that we are called to put on Christ, and we can understand this more as we meditate on Scripture.

King David is known by many for being a man after God's own heart. His sin against God is something that is rarely discussed, and when it is mentioned, there can be a tendency to use his fall as an example of God forgiving a great leader. But in order for us to understand why God forgave David, we must return to the Word of God and take a closer look at his sin and the state of this man's soul in his sin against God. We are going to see a beautiful picture in today's episode of God's justice and mercy, and we will see the type and shadow of the New Testament believer in a posture of repentance, which is to be the current state of every man and woman's soul today.

You may know this song. It was a personal favorite for years. The very beginning of the song, How He Loves, tells us that He is jealous for us. Yet, is this a Biblical statement? Is God jealous for you and me, or for something else that we do not understand? We are going to talk about this today, as well as the current state of some of the praise and worship music. The Bible helps us in understanding what is acceptable worship unto the Lord. I am concerned that Christ less music is being sung without us recognizing it. There is a tendency to centralize ourselves in the song rather than God. There is also a disturbing trend to sing to another Christ. Let's discuss this today.

As believers in Christ, we can anticipate being pruned spiritually. Jesus Christ spoke to His disciples in John 15, "I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit." He goes on to stress the importance of branches abiding in the vine and helping His disciples to understand that apart from Him, they could do nothing. This applies to us today as disciples of Jesus Christ.

It is now 2021, and much has taken place in the United States with the election. The pandemic continues, and there is much uncertainty abounding. However, there is another pandemic that has made itself known even more so, and that is the pandemic of false prophecy concerning the election. Today, I will be discussing this and my concerns for what is taking place in the prophetic movement. Some people will say that if you say anything against the prophecies, you are despising prophecy, you have no faith, or that you are coming against the prophets. To these things, there is some insight I wish to share. One thing is for certain, for those of us who stand upon the Word of God as authoritative and as truth, to despise prophecy would be to despise Scripture itself. The urgency is increasing for the church to return to Scripture for instruction and for truth.

The truth indeed brings freedom, and there is no greater truth than the Word of God. True freedom cannot come to us apart from Christ and His Word. Troubles arise when Scripture is misappropriated, and when this happens, bondages are inadvertently created by the perpetrator of misappropriation, not by Scripture itself. There were things I once believed, things that could not be substantiated in the Word of God. Maybe you can relate. In this podcast, I share personally some things that were once bondages perceived as freedom, but thankfully the Word of God shined light on these things and brought true freedom. John 8:31,32 is applicable for every believer in Jesus Christ.

We all try to avoid it. We beg and plead at times for a cup of suffering to pass from us. Some teachings even frown upon suffering, denying that God's best is not being received. But Scripture makes it clear that suffering comes, whether through affliction or persecution, it comes.
Suffering is never more clear than in our Savior and His atonement for our sins. When I think about it, it seems arrogant to believe that we are entitled to not suffer. Thank God that in the midst of it, God comforts us. He gives us peace and the promise of eternal life. This podcast will be focusing on my two most recent blog posts, dealing with the issue of suffering and praising God in the darkest times.

Inner healing and deliverance. Sozo. Theophostic prayer. You may have heard these terms or even participated in inner healing sessions. What you may not recognize is this name: Agnes Sanford. Who is Agnes Sanford, and what does she have to do with inner healing? More than you might think. I took the time months ago to read two of Sanford's books and test them against Scripture. You may be shocked to hear what was in those books and what this has to do with inner healing. You may have recently seen a clip circulating on social media and the internet regarding an illustrated sermon by a well known minister, talking about the blood covenant. The actions portrayed disturbed and upset many, and it brought a question to the forefront of this teaching: was this teaching Biblical and a true representation of the better covenant brought by the blood of Jesus Christ? You may be surprised to learn the origins of this teaching and that it can be traced back to several books written about the blood covenant by professing Christians. I have heard this and seen this Bible verse more times than I can count, and maybe you have as well. It seems to surface when someone brings a well known minister's words or public teaching into question. This Scripture, "Touch not my anointed and do my prophets no harm", at times strikes fear into the hearts of people, and it leads many to think that raising such questions are inappropriate and dangerous. But is this really the case? Does this passage of Scripture have anything to do raising concerns or questions about teaching and conduct which may contradict the instruction of the Bible? These were things that I did as one who was part of the prophetic movement in the charismatic church. This was one of many things which God convicted me of and led me to repentance. One of the pressing issues you may hear many conservatives and Christians discuss is the issue of abortion and the future of Roe versus Wade.
