About Dr. Don Haddad

St. Vrain Valley Schools has become a national model for excellence in public education under the leadership of Superintendent, Don Haddad, Ed.D., who has received numerous recognitions throughout his 38 years in education, including the Colorado Communicator of the Year (2011), Superintendent of the Year by the National Association of School Superintendents (2013), an Education Week Leader to Learn From (2015), selected as 1 of 100 Superintendents to participate in the Future Ready Superintendent Summit at the White House (2014), Boulder Chamber of Commerce Most Innovative Business in Boulder County (2019), Longmont Economic Development Chair’s Choice Economic Development Impact Award (2019), and International Society of Technology in Education District of Distinction Award (2019). Dr. Haddad has benefited from a broad range of experiences in several school districts while working in various teaching, coaching and administrative positions at every level PK-14. As Superintendent in St. Vrain for the past 14 years, Dr. Haddad and his team have successfully implemented an award-winning Learning Technology Plan, the development of over 70 instructional focus programs, the implementation of the state’s first P-TECH (Pathways in Technology) school, and opening a 50,000 square foot Innovation Center, St. Vrain is providing students the skills necessary for advancement in a complex, highly competitive, globalized world.
