Hey Joy Seekers — welcome back to Find the Joy with Jenn! I’m so glad you’re here with me today. Every week, I get to sit down with you and talk about how to find joy, peace, and healing — especially in life’s hardest moments.Today’s episode is one that has been on my heart for a while, and honestly, I think it’s one of the most important topics we can talk about when we’re going through divorce, heartbreak, or any major life challenge. We’re going to talk about the difference between learned helplessness and learned hopefulness. Here’s the big idea: if we can “learn” helplessness — which many of us have without even realizing it — then we can also learn hopefulness. And when we’re facing something as difficult as divorce, that’s not just a good idea… It’s survival. So stick with me, because by the end of this episode, I want you to walk away with three practical ways you can start retraining your mind for hope instead of helplessness.✨ Want more personalized support on your healing journey? ✨Sign up for a FREE Reclaim Your Joy Strategy Session — a private, faith-filled space to explore where you are, clarify where you want to go, and leave with a practical tool to help you move forward with confidence and joy.👉🏻👉🏻Link HERE: https://calendly.com/jennzingmark/freesession• Join my exclusive Life Coaching and Divorce Mentoring Program, Faith Filled Divorce, HERE: httpshttps:https://www.findthejoywithjenn.com/program-details• Get your FREE Podcast Atlas at: https://www.findthejoywithjenn.com/joy-in-the-journey-podcast • Make sure you are part of the Find the Joy With Jenn Fam! Hey Joy Seekers — welcome back to Find the Joy with Jenn. I’m so glad you’re here. Today, we’re unpacking something that will shape every relationship you have — not just in your marriage or divorce, but in parenting, friendships, work, and any relationship you’ll ever build in the future. It’s the energy you bring: are you showing up to serve or to strive to get? This is part of your healing journey through divorce — learning how to grow better, not bitter. Because how you show up now will echo into every relationship you build later. And before we dive in, let me say this: if you recognize yourself in the “get” side of things, you will have absolutely no judgment from me. I want you to hear that. There is no shame in noticing where you are. The natural human tendency is to ask, “What do I get out of this?” That’s normal. We all start there. But I’m here to show you how to take that natural instinct and grow beyond it — how to step into the best version of yourself through service. If you’re walking through divorce — whether you’re still deciding, in the middle of the legal and emotional process, or already living life after — this message will help you grow better, not bitter. Because how you show up in relationships during this season shapes the kind of relationships you will build in the future.✨ Want more personalized support on your healing journey? Hey Joy Seekers! Welcome back to Find the Joy with Jenn. I am so glad you’re here today. Today, we’re exploring three words that can completely change the way you experience divorce: awareness, acceptance, and agency.Divorce can feel like a hurricane ripping through your life. One day you think you know where your future is headed, and the next, you’re staring at pieces scattered everywhere—legal battles, emotional pain, financial uncertainty, and the big question: What now?If you’re in the middle of it, you know how overwhelming it feels. But these three principles—awareness, acceptance, and agency—can serve as anchors in the storm. They can help you slow down, find clarity, and step forward with confidence and faith. So let’s walk through them together.✨ Want more personalized support on your healing journey? If you’ve been through divorce, you may have moments where you wonder if you’re still lovable, or if love will ever find you again. Today, I want to remind you of a profound truth: you are already worthy of love—not because of your relationship status or how someone else treats you, but because of who you are.Hey Joy Seekers—welcome back to Find the Joy with Jenn. I’m so glad you’re here. Today, we’re going to dive into a topic that sits at the heart of so many divorce journeys: feeling worthy of love after divorce.I don’t know about you, but when I walked through my own divorce, one of the deepest wounds wasn’t just the loss of the relationship. It was the way I started to question myself. Am I lovable? Was I not enough? What’s wrong with me that this marriage didn’t work?If you’ve ever asked yourself those kinds of questions, I want you to lean in today. Because here’s the truth: your worthiness of love is not up for debate. It was settled the day you were created by a loving God. Divorce doesn’t erase it, rejection doesn’t diminish it, and someone else’s opinion of you can’t redefine it.• Join my exclusive Life Coaching and Divorce Mentoring Program, Faith Filled Divorce, HERE: httpshttps:https://www.findthejoywithjenn.com/program-details• Get your FREE Podcast Atlas at: https://www.findthejoywithjenn.com/joy-in-the-journey-podcast • Make sure you are part of the Find the Joy With Jenn Fam! If you’ve been waiting for permission to start healing after a hard marriage or divorce… this is it. No one is coming to do it for you—and that’s not bad news. It’s the doorway to your freedom. Stick around to the end for a 7-day “No One Is Coming” challenge you can start today.Hey Joy Seekers—welcome back to Find the Joy with Jenn. I’m so glad you’re here. Today, we’re discussing a message that may feel a little jarring at first: No one is coming to save you. It’s an idea popularized by Mel Robbins—basically, stop waiting for the perfect moment or for someone to rescue you, and start taking small, courageous steps yourself. She teaches that motivation rarely appears first; action does. When you act, motivation follows. Here’s my faith-filled twist: No one is coming to live your life for you… And God is already here to help you take inspired action today! Scripture says, “For God gave us not a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7) Power + love + a sound mind—that’s your toolkit for today. If you’re new here, I'm Jenn Zingmark, your LDS life and divorce coach, here to help you navigate the challenges of divorce with faith, grace, and resilience. •Get your The 7-Day Challenge: Stop Waiting: Take Back Your Life After Divorce” here: https://www.findthejoywithjenn.com/take-back-your-life-after-divorce• Join my exclusive Life Coaching and Divorce Mentoring Program, Faith Filled Divorce, HERE: httpshttps:https://www.findthejoywithjenn.com/program-details• Get your FREE Podcast Atlas at: https://www.findthejoywithjenn.com/joy-in-the-journey-podcast • Make sure you are part of the Find the Joy With Jenn Fam! Hey friends, welcome back to Find the Joy with Jenn! I’m so glad you’re here. Today, we’re diving into a really important topic—one that I know touches so many of you listening. We’re talking about protecting and empowering children in divorce. This is a tender subject, because divorce doesn’t just affect the couple—it ripples out to our children. And as parents, grandparents, or even leaders in the Church, one of our greatest responsibilities is to safeguard their hearts, their trust, and their ability to thrive, even in hard circumstances.Much of what I’ll share today is inspired by a beautiful Ensign article from April 2019, called “Protecting Children” by Marissa Widdison, but I’ve adapted it specifically to address the unique challenges children face during divorce. So if you’re going through a divorce, or you love someone who is, this episode is for you.If you’re new here, I'm Jenn Zingmark, your LDS life and divorce coach, here to help you navigate the challenges of divorce with faith, grace, and resilience. • Join my exclusive Life Coaching and Divorce Mentoring Program, Faith Filled Divorce, HERE: httpshttps:https://www.findthejoywithjenn.com/program-details• Get your FREE Podcast Atlas at: https://www.findthejoywithjenn.com/joy-in-the-journey-podcast • Make sure you are part of the Find the Joy With Jenn Fam! Hey friends, and welcome back to Find the Joy with Jenn! I’m so glad you’re here. If you’re in a season of transition—especially navigating life after divorce—today’s episode is going to speak right to your heart and your future. We're talking about something that so many of us wrestle with in this journey: money—how to manage it, how to feel confident with it, and how to rebuild your financial life when everything has changed.Joining me today is someone I deeply admire—Kathleen Judge. Kathleen knows what it’s like to have the rug pulled out from under her. After quitting her corporate career to stay home and raise her children, she found herself suddenly and unexpectedly divorced in her 40s. Overnight, she became a single parent, solely responsible for her children’s well-being and their financial future.Instead of staying stuck in fear, Kathleen took brave, practical steps to rebuild. She found a financial advisor she trusted, learned how to manage her own wealth, and eventually became a financial advisor herself. Now she helps others—especially those who are new to managing their own money—make smart, confident financial decisions, so they can build a future that feels secure and fulfilling.Whether you’ve always managed your money or you’re just now learning how, today’s conversation is packed with wisdom, encouragement, and real-life strategies to help you move forward with faith and clarity.•Connect with Kathleen using the following links: linkedin.com/in/kathleen-judge1www.edwardjones.com/kathleen-judgeIG: kathleenjudgestlKathleen.judge@edwardjones.com• Check out my Faith Filled Course Library. Hey friends, and welcome back to Find the Joy with Jenn.I’m so glad you’re here. Today, I’m talking about what makes a Second Marriage Work After Divorce. The Hard Work Behind My Happy Ending. After I released episode #180, our 20th anniversary special, I heard from so many of you. You thanked me for being vulnerable and opening up about the journey my husband and I have been on. If you haven't listened to it yet, go check it out! You asked powerful questions—about rebuilding trust, parenting in a blended family, navigating differences, and choosing love after heartbreak. And to be honest… I almost didn’t share it. It’s easy to share the highlight reel. The anniversary photos. The blessings. But I knew that wasn’t the full story. I also knew I wouldn’t be doing you any favors if I skipped over the real parts. Because truthfully, what we have today is the result of deep personal work, trial and error, hard conversations, learning to accept and forgive each other, and keep trying…grace upon grace. If you’re new here, I'm Jenn Zingmark, your LDS life and divorce coach, here to help you navigate the challenges of divorce with faith, grace, and resilience. Hey there, Joy Seekers— Welcome back to Find the Joy with Jenn. Today, I want to talk about something that affects all of us more than we realize, something I see over and over again in my own life and in the lives of the people I coach: ✨ The power of the story we tell ourselves. This is true for all of us, but especially for those of us walking through divorce, betrayal, deep grief, or any kind of painful chapter.Because we all tell ourselves stories. About our marriage. About our divorce. About our pain.About who we are because of it. And those stories shape everything. At some point, your story also deserves to be reframed. Not because the past didn’t hurt, but because you don’t have to stay forever trapped in it.✨ Want more personalized support on your healing journey? ✨Sign up for a FREE Reclaim Your Joy Strategy Session — a private, faith-filled space to explore where you are, clarify where you want to go, and leave with a practical tool to help you move forward with confidence and joy.👉🏻👉🏻Link HERE: https://www.findthejoywithjenn.com/reclaim-your-joy-strategy-session• Check out my Faith Filled Course Library. Hey Joy Seekers, and welcome back to Find the Joy with Jenn.Today’s episode is deeply personal and very special to me because I’m celebrating my 20th wedding anniversary with Eric. Yes—20 years! I want to share a little of our journey, not just as a tribute to him, but as a message of hope for each of you.If you’ve gone through a divorce and you’re wondering if a joyful, lasting marriage is still possible… I’m here to tell you that it absolutely is. And if you’re in a marriage right now that feels hard, maybe even hanging on by a thread, I want you to know it is so worth it to keep fighting for it, to keep choosing each other, and to keep inviting God into your relationship every single day.Our story hasn’t been perfect—no marriage is—but it’s been beautifully worth it. I hope that as I share some of the lessons we’ve learned, the struggles we’ve worked through, and the joys we’ve celebrated, you’ll feel inspired to believe in the possibility of a love that lasts and grows deeper with time.• Check out my Faith Filled Course Library. Hey there, Joy Seekers— Welcome back to Find the Joy with Jenn. I’m so glad you’re here. I created this space for you—a place where we talk honestly about the messiness of divorce while holding tight to our faith. If you’re walking through the heartache of divorce right now, I want you to know you’re not alone—and you’re not powerless. There is still hope. There is still healing. And yes… there is still joy ahead.Today I want to share three empowering truths—not just thoughts or affirmations—but deep truths you can begin to practice and lean into, especially in those moments when life feels the heaviest.I don’t believe there’s any magical phrase that makes the pain of divorce disappear. But I do believe in truth. And these three thoughts are grounded in truth—truth about who you are, whose you are, and what’s still possible for you. We’ll walk through each truth, what it means, how to practice it, and real-life examples to bring them to life. So grab a notebook, or just let these words wash over you. You don’t need to master them—you just need to remember that truth is always available to you.• Check out my Faith Filled Course Library. Hey, Joy Seekers, welcome back to Find the Joy with Jenn. Today, we’re diving into a topic I know hits close to home for so many of us: TRUST.If you’ve been through a divorce, especially one where trust was shattered by betrayal, emotional abuse, or neglect, or just someone’s choice to end the marriage, then you know how hard it is to trust again. When a marriage ends—especially one rooted in faith—the damage often goes deeper than the relationship itself. It can shatter your trust in your ex, in yourself, in your ability to make good decisions, and even in God.But here’s the good news: trust isn’t lost forever. It can be rebuilt. And that rebuilding starts with you.Today, I want to discuss some powerful truths from the book "The Speed of Trust" by Stephen M. R. Covey — specifically, his 13 Behaviors of High-Trust Leaders. These aren’t just leadership tools—they’re LIFE tools. And they are incredibly relevant for anyone healing from divorce, and you don’t need to have read the book—I’ve got you.• Check out my Faith Filled Course Library. Hey Joy Seekers, it’s Jenn. Today’s episode comes straight from a place of deep personal experience—something that rocked my world recently and gave me an entirely new perspective on the wounds we carry, both seen and unseen. I want to tell you about a recent experience that caught me completely off guard—something that literally left a scar and totally disrupted my life for a while. But more than that, it taught me a powerful lesson about healing… and how similar physical wounds are to the emotional ones we carry. This experience taught me something powerful about grief, trauma, and the slow, intentional work of healing after divorce.• Join my exclusive Life Coaching and Divorce Mentoring Program, Faith Filled Divorce HERE: httpshttps:https://www.findthejoywithjenn.com/program-details• Get your FREE Podcast Atlas at: https://www.findthejoywithjenn.com/joy-in-the-journey-podcast • Check out my Faith Filled Course Library. Hey friends, and welcome back to Find the Joy with Jenn. I'm so grateful you're here. Today’s episode is especially tender and powerful—one that will speak to anyone who’s found themselves hurting in the shadows of someone else’s struggle with addiction.I’m honored to be joined by Roxanna Johnson, a remarkable woman of faith, resilience, and wisdom. Roxanna has over 50 years of experience loving people who compulsively use substances or behaviors, including sexual addiction, to numb their pain. Her journey has taken her through two divorces and one recovered marriage that ended in loss due to death. Through it all, Roxanna has leaned into her faith, her professional background as a federal grant administrator, and the profound spiritual lessons she’s learned by attending hundreds of 12-step meetings and applying powerful therapeutic principles. She recently poured all of that hard-earned insight into her book: Forgotten in the Battle with Sexual Addiction: The Journey of a Spouse. It’s an honest and deeply personal look at what it means to live through betrayal and heartbreak—and still find hope, healing, and joy, even if your spouse doesn’t choose recovery. Whether you’re walking this path yourself or love someone who is, Roxanna’s story will bless and strengthen you.• Learn more about my guest, Roxanna Johnson, HERE: https://forgotteninthebattlewithsexualaddictionthejourneyofaspouse.com/?fbclid=IwY2xjawKwN7VleHRuA2FlbQIxMABicmlkETF5WkUyWG5aVlI2bkR3SWpZAR6tC8lHwhzShazlgiLh_1u9huVlxQyeuAw4QxB3qdmYgtaFc8OhELPK5iwKZQ_aem_mYZe0UsqIVZbxXu8bsVlHgIG: https://www.instagram.com/p/DGUN187O6KV/• Join my exclusive Life Coaching and Divorce Mentoring Program, Faith Filled Divorce HERE: httpshttps:https://www.findthejoywithjenn.com/program-details• Get your FREE Podcast Atlas at: https://www.findthejoywithjenn.com/joy-in-the-journey-podcast • Make sure you are part of the Find the Joy With Jenn Fam! Hey Joy Seekers, it’s Jenn—and today we’re diving into a topic that comes up so often with the amazing men and women I coach: closure after divorce. If you’ve found yourself saying, “I just need closure,” or “If I could just understand why it all happened the way it did, maybe then I could move on,” this episode is especially for you.Let’s be honest—when divorce turns your world upside down, it’s normal to crave some kind of neat, tied-up ending. Something to help it all make sense. But here’s what I want you to know: closure isn’t something your ex gives you. It’s something you choose to create—with the Lord’s help.So today, we’re going to talk about what closure really means, how to stop waiting for it, and how to move forward with faith, grace, and resilience—even when your questions feel unanswered.I want to show you that closure isn’t something we get from someone else. It’s something we create—with God’s help.• Join my exclusive Life Coaching and Divorce Mentoring Program Faith Filled Divorce HERE: httpshttps:https://www.findthejoywithjenn.com/program-details• Get your FREE Podcast Atlas at: https://www.findthejoywithjenn.com/joy-in-the-journey-podcast • Make sure you are part of the Find the Joy With Jenn Fam! Hey friends, welcome back to Find the Joy with Jenn. If this is your first time here, I’m so glad you found this space. I created this podcast to walk alongside faithful women—and men—who are navigating the heartbreak of divorce with grace, courage, and yes… even joy.Today’s episode is one I’ve been wanting to talk about for a while. It’s about a phrase that sneaks into so many of our thoughts, especially after things fall apart in divorce. “I should have seen it coming.”Have you said that before? Whispered it to yourself in bed at night… or cried it to a friend in disbelief… or maybe even screamed it in your car when the grief was just too heavy? It’s such a tempting thought, because it gives us something to hold onto when everything feels out of control. But here’s the thing: that thought feels like truth… and yet it’s laced with shame. So today, we’re going to break it down. Together, we’ll look at where this belief comes from, what it costs us, and how faith offers us a much better lens.• Schedule your FIRST FREE COACHING SESSION with me NOW, and let's get started! 🌐🌐 Link HERE: https://calendly.com/jennzingmark/freesession• Join my exclusive Life Coaching and Divorce Mentoring Program Faith Filled Divorce HERE: httpshttps:https://www.findthejoywithjenn.com/program-details• Get your FREE Podcast Atlas at: https://www.findthejoywithjenn.com/joy-in-the-journey-podcast • Make sure you are part of the Find the Joy With Jenn Fam! Hey friends, welcome back to Find the Joy with Jenn. I’m so glad you’re here today. This episode might feel a little tender—it’s one I wish I’d had in my early days after divorce. We’re talking about letting go of your “old life”—not just the marriage, but the whole dream that came with it. And we’re going to talk about doing that from a place of faith—trusting in God’s bigger plan, especially when it feels like yours has completely fallen apart. And if you're listening today with a lump in your throat and tears in your eyes, still holding on to what was—wishing more than anything that you could have it all back—this is especially for you. I see you. I’ve been there. I know what it’s like to wake up and ache for a life that no longer exists. I hope you’ll stick with me, not because I have perfect answers, but because I want to walk with you toward hope. Not fake positivity—but real, quiet, God-given hope that can rise even in the rubble. If you’re new here, I'm Jenn Zingmark, your LDS life and divorce coach, here to help you navigate the challenges of divorce with faith, grace, and resilience.• Schedule your FIRST FREE COACHING SESSION with me NOW, and let's get started! Today, I will teach you How to Stop Feeling Spiritually Lost After Divorce! I’m discussing something critical for anyone navigating divorce: Spiritual Self-Reliance—what it means, why it's essential, and how we develop it when our lives feel completely uprooted. If you’re going through a divorce, just know you are not alone. It may feel overwhelming right now, but this is not the end of your story—it’s the beginning of a new chapter. You have the strength to heal, to grow, and to create a life you truly love. But doing that requires something crucial—a foundation that isn’t dependent on anyone else but God. If you’re new here, I'm Jenn Zingmark, your LDS life and divorce coach, here to help you navigate the challenges of divorce with faith, grace, and resilience. • Join me for a FREE WEBINAR: How to Move from Heartbreak to Healing on March 13, 2025 at 12 pm MTN / 2 pm EST. Today, we’re talking about something that can make or break any relationship—communication. And I mean all relationships—whether it’s with your former spouse, your children, your co-workers, or even your new romantic partner. Now, let’s be real. Divorce often magnifies every little communication struggle we already had in our marriage. And suddenly, we’re faced with some really tough conversations—about co-parenting, finances, boundaries, and moving forward. If we don’t learn how to communicate well, we can end up in a never-ending cycle of frustration, misunderstandings, and unnecessary conflict.I want to help you break that cycle by teaching you a simple but powerful communication technique to help you navigate difficult conversations confidently, clearly, and gracefully.Dealing with an ex can be tricky at the best of times. The relationship with your ex may be one of the most challenging, complicated relationships you have, so it's the ideal place for you to practice improving your communication skills.I want to introduce you to a simple yet powerful method that can completely transform the way you approach difficult conversations. It’s called the SCI Communication Technique, and it’s a kind, Christ-like approach to expressing yourself with clarity, respect, and love. Even when emotions are high, this method helps keep the conversation constructive instead of combative.• Join me for a FREE WEBINAR: How to Move from Heartbreak to Healing on March 13, 2025 at 12 pm MTN / 2 pm EST. Hey there, JOY SEEKER! Welcome back for more Jenn Juice. I'm Jenn Zingmark, your LDS life and divorce coach, here to help you navigate the challenges of divorce with faith, grace, and resilience. Today, we’re tackling an important topic—how to build a good relationship with your stepfamily. Whether you’re navigating this as a new stepparent, a stepchild, or even a biological parent helping to merge two families, it can be an emotional and complex journey.Recently, I had a conversation with a young adult named Anthony, who is preparing for a big transition when his father gets remarried—gaining a stepmother and step-siblings. His situation is unique, just like every stepfamily dynamic is, but the principles of building a strong and positive relationship remain the same. IIf you’re in a similar situation or know someone who is, I want to share some key takeaways from my conversation with Anthony that can help you approach a new family dynamic with empathy, patience, and clarity. If you’re stepping into a blended family dynamic, just know this—you are not alone in this experience. Every stepfamily has challenges, but with patience, understanding, and a willingness to take things one step at a time, strong and meaningful relationships can develop. So, if you’re feeling unsure about your role, take a deep breath and remind yourself that this is a journey. Relationships are built over time through small moments of trust, kindness, and shared experiences. To Anthony—and anyone else navigating this process—I want to say: Give yourself and your stepfamily grace. It won’t always be easy, but with a little effort and a lot of patience, you can build a stepfamily dynamic that feels like home. Thanks for tuning in today! If you found this episode helpful, share it with someone who might benefit from it. Feel free to reach out if you have any experiences or questions about stepfamily relationships. I’d love to hear from you.Joy Seekers, you are stronger than you think. You are not alone. And you are capable of rebuilding a beautiful, faith-filled life after divorce. You have more power than you think; your future is yours to create. Until next time, take care and keep building relationships that matter. Until next time, keep seeking joy, holding onto your faith, and moving forward confidently!Bye, Yall!• Join my exclusive Life Coaching and Divorce Mentoring Program Faith Filled Divorce HERE: httpshttps:https://www.findthejoywithjenn.com/program-details• Get your FREE Podcast Atlas at: https://www.findthejoywithjenn.com/joy-in-the-journey-podcast • Make sure you are part of the Find the Joy With Jenn Fam! Happy New Year Friends! Can you believe it! A brand new year is here, full of fresh possibilities and endless potential! I love January! It just feels so hopeful and full of promise! Do you feel it, too? If 2024 felt like a roller coaster, you’re not alone- but guess what? I’ve got a good feeling about this year! 2025 is going to be an amazing year! It’s your year to shine! I want 2025 to be your best year yet. That’s why I will bring you the best teachings on healing, deepening your faith, transforming your life, and creating your dream life this year. I want to start this year with a Reflection & Renewal. Let’s take a few moments to reflect on the past year, uncovering lessons, celebrate your wins, evaluate your losses from a non-judgemental, loving place, and set the stage for your best year yet! And where better to start than with an annual review? Why should you do a yearly review? Two reasons: To establish where you are now AND To make a focused plan for the coming year. Essentially, you are trying to answer the question: What can you learn from last year to decide what to do next year? A yearly review also gives you a moment to reflect on all the progress you’ve made. When your life gets turned upside down by divorce, it can be hard to see your progress, know what you want, or know what to do next! This is where reviewing the last year, looking for your wins as well, and gleaning all you can from your experiences is so beneficial. I will share three simple steps for completing your Reflection & Renewal—this is essential for reviewing last year and planning for the year ahead. Today, I want to talk about faith and hope. These are essential principles for staying faithful to the Gospel when life gets complicated and unexpected trials like divorce happen AND for looking to the future with hope and optimism. It’s one of the most important things I can teach you to help you overcome life's challenges, especially when your family falls apart. It’s essential that you not lose hope for your future happiness. Everything I do as a life coach is based on the premise that we can make positive changes in ourselves, the anatomy of our brain, and our lives with focus, intention, and effort! This concept is so exciting and empowering because it puts the power of transformation in your hands! I LOVE doing this and seeing my clients do this and experience dramatic results in their lives! I hope my enthusiasm is contagious and inspires you to think about the changes you want to make in your life and, most importantly, that you believe me when I tell you YOU CAN HAVE A WONDERFUL, BEAUTIFUL LIFE IN YOUR FUTURE, EVEN BETTER THAN IT WAS BEFORE YOUR DIVORCE, BUT ONLY IF YOU BELIVE ITS POSSIBLE.• Get your FREE copy of the 12 Days of Faith-Filled Healing Challenge HERE: https://www.findthejoywithjenn.com/faithfilledhealingchallengedownload• Enrollment is now OPEN in my exclusive Life Coaching and Divorce Mentoring Program Faith Filled Divorce. Today on the Podcast, I’m interviewing a special client and friend, Kent Echols. Kent's spent his life learning lessons the hard way in his struggle to overcome the death of his mother at a young age, alcohol addiction that led to jail time, and divorce, but he has gained so much compassion, grit, grace, resilience, and faith in his journey! His motto is “Serve to love and love to serve.” He is one of my favorite people; you will see why in this interview!Kent has used his life experience as an overcomer to mentor and coach others to turn to the Lord to get through hard times. His role involves guiding his clients in ways that will show them the possibilities in life. He applies his motto, “Serve to love and love to serve,” as he listens with love and compassion while walking through his clients' journey with them. Many people carry the weight of their past, which affects their ability to connect with themselves and others. This can impact relationships, self-worth, and purpose. He helps his clients confront and heal past wounds to thrive in all areas of their lives. Hey there, JOY SEEKER! Welcome back for more Jenn Juice. I'm Jenn Zingmark, your LDS life and divorce coach, here to help you navigate the challenges of divorce with faith, grace, and resilience. Today on the podcast, I’m addressing a topic that weighs heavily on the mind of every faith-filled divorced parent: how will my divorce affect my children? How can I help them stay faithful to the Gospel after my divorce? This subject comes up often when I’m working with my clients. It’s a big concern for parents even considering divorce. Many people say they stay in unhappy, unhealthy marriages for the sake of their children because they believe it’s better for them to be raised in a home with both parents, even if it’s an unhappy, unhealthy one than to go through a divorce. So, I will shed some light on this subject and share ideas to help you navigate this challenging situation with hope, faith, and confidence. I’ll share FOUR practical ways you can give your children the support they need to stay grounded in the Gospel after divorce.• Make sure you are part of the Find the Joy With Jenn Fam! Hey there, JOY SEEKER! Welcome back for more Jenn Juice! You may be wondering what Jenn Juice is if you're new here. lol…One of my clients actually came up with this phrase. When she starts feeling overwhelmed or forgetting to manage her mind or how to apply the coaching she received in our sessions, she would say she needs MORE JENN JUICE, which means she needs a reminder or a refresher. So she would listen to a podcast episode or two and feel refreshed! So, I’m back with your weekly injection of Jenn Juice to keep you inspired, motivated, and fueled by new perspectives and concepts to keep you progressing! Thanks for joining me, Friend! Today, I’m exploring a topic that is often overlooked but crucial in the divorce journey: understanding the difference between what’s fair and right and navigating divorce with clarity, peace, and faith. This is such an important concept because, let’s face it, divorce can feel like a whirlwind of emotions, legalities, and decisions. It’s easy to get caught up in what seems fair at the moment, but today, we will explore why focusing on what’s truly right can lead to a healthier and more fulfilling outcome for everyone involved. Remember that focusing on what’s right rather than fair takes increased faith in God. It is a powerful act of self-love. It’s about making choices that honor your values, protect your peace, and set you up for a brighter future. Divorce is a difficult journey, but it’s also an opportunity to grow, to heal, and to create the life you truly deserve.• Make sure you are part of the Find the Joy With Jenn Fam! Today, I’m talking about falling into the rhythm of your life with fresh routines. August is the time kids go back to school and start new schedules, activities, and sports, and it feels like a FRESH start to the new season for all of us, whether we have kids at home or not. This is a great time to reset, refocus, and get into healthy routines that will help you reach your goals for this year. So, let’s talk about rhythms and routines. When you’re dealing with separation or divorce, your life, as you know it, falls apart. I know how that feels… I’ve been there. It's scary; you lose your barrings, and your whole life is thrown upside down. All of your usual routines are thrown out the window! You doubt yourself, your worth, your confidence in yourself, and your choices. It’s natural to feel lost and unsure of yourself for a while. All of these feelings are normal and natural. I have felt all of these emotions and many more. It’s hard to describe just how life-changing divorce is, physically, mentally, and emotionally, but if you’ve experienced it, you know! It’s part of the process. It’s natural for everything to be out of whack for a while, but as you adjust to your new normal and start to settle into your new routines, I want to help you make the best choices possible during this difficult time!• Register to attend my FREE webinar, Dating Mindset Mastery: How to Attract Your Ideal Relationship here: https://calendly.com/jennzingmark/dating-mindset-mastery• Make sure you are part of the Find the Joy With Jenn Fam! Today, I’m talking about thinking traps. Thinking traps are just unhelpful, automatic thoughts that we tend to have on repeat. They’re patterns of thinking that make you believe you’re stuck. We all have them at times, and the AWESOME thing about being a human being is that we have the ability to think about our thinking! Once we recognize them, we can get ourselves out of thinking traps! A 2004 study found that the ability to recognize our thoughts and to increase their flexibility and accuracy can be measured, taught, and improved. This is HUGE! It's also called neuroplasticity. It’s a key component of cognitive resilience. Thinking traps are a natural part of our regular thought processes. It’s just how our brains work, so knowing that we all have them AND we have the power to recognize them and get out of them is mental power, Friends! Hey there, JOY SEEKER! Welcome back for more Jenn Juice! Happy Summer, friends! How’s it going? If you have kids at home, you’re in the think of it now! So you’re either smooth sailing right now and in the grove or pulling your hair out and DYING for school to start! I know the first week of every summer was always ROUGH when all of my kids were young! It was a shocking adjustment to have everyone home at the same time all day long! It was so rocky, I remember thinking every year that I wanted to trade places with my husband! I wished I had worked full time so I could get dressed, leave for the day, and come back at dinner time! LOL But, then things calmed down and we would get into our relaxed summer routine and it was nice! About the time we were all really enjoying summer, it would be time for school to start back! So, if that’s where you are, I feel ya! I hope you’re soaking up the best parts and enjoying as much as possible! It’s a busy time for my family! In the last month, my oldest son had a baby, my younger son got married and is joining the army, and last week, I moved one of my daughters to Atlanta! It’ been wild! So many blessings and opportunities to stretch and grow, and in the process, I’ve learned some new skills and gained new awareness that’s inspired this episode today. The message of this episode is you are stronger and more capable than you know!• Make sure you are part of the Find the Joy With Jenn Fam! Today, I’m talking about navigating events with your ex after divorce. This is a situation that comes up for everyone who’s divorced. All of the special events in a child's life still happen after divorce. Baptisms, sports games, recitals, awards ceremonies, concerts, banquets, mission farewells and homecomings, and weddings are all important occasions you want to attend in a child’s life. If both parents are involved in a child’s life, they will want to be there and, possibly even their new romantic partners, and both sets of grandparents and extended family members will want to be there too. And, of course, we want our children to have all of the love and support they can get in their lives. But, it can be difficult to navigate these situations when you’re dealing with your healing and divorce recovery while simultaneously wanting to support and show up for your child. It’s complicated, and dealing with these situations can cause a lot of stress and bring up a lot of emotions. I have navigated many of these situations, learned some great lessons to share, and helped many clients navigate events with exes, so I will share some suggestions to help you prepare to navigate events with your ex!• Make sure you are part of the Find the Joy With Jenn Fam! Hey there, JOY SEEKER! Welcome back for more Jenn Juice! As I’ve been helping many of my clients through some really difficult challenges and thinking about how hard it is to go through life-changing trials like divorce, I was reminded that none of us are alone. Our loving Father in Heaven has given us His son to help us on our journey in mortality. Jesus Christ is our advocate with the Father. I’ve been thinking and reading about what it means to be an ADVOCATE. Some synonyms of advocate are supporter, champion, booster, promoter, true believer, friend, protagonist, and white knight. An "advocate" is someone who passionately and effectively supports a cause, idea, or viewpoint. Advocacy involves actively speaking out, promoting, and fighting for a cause or belief that the advocate deeply cares about.I want to remind you today that your Savior, Jesus Christ, passionately supports your cause. He cares deeply about you and is involved in speaking for, fighting for, and promoting you! He is YOUR supporter, friend, booster, promoter, true believer, protagonist, champion, white knight, and advocate. And He’s mine too! I know this is TRUE! For this, I am eternally grateful!Get the full show notes and learn more about my coaching here:https://www.ldsdivorce.com/118Thank you so much for listening to this episode! Today, I’m discussing using social media during separation and divorce and sharing my divorce social media protocol. I know we’ve all seen posts, rants, and reels from bitter, angry exes. It can be so salacious that you can't pull yourself away, but it's never a good thing for anyone involved! Remember, social media is a tool. We choose how we want to use it. As long as you use it appropriately during your separation and divorce, you can continue to enjoy its benefits without the risk of damaging content being published that could harm you, your children, your family, your career, and even your custody or visitation with your children (this happens!). So, this is a crucial issue to consider. I advise you to be very cautious and careful with your social media sharing during this time in your life. If you're going through separation or divorce, you NEED my divorce social media protocol.Get the full show notes and learn more about my coaching here:https://www.ldsdivorce.com/117Thank you so much for listening to this episode! Today, I’m talking about communication! Effective communication is one of the most essential life skills we can have. It literally affects every area of your life and all of your relationships. Many times, it's our communication skills that determine our success in our education, career, and personal lives. It can be argued that your communication skills are more valuable than your education or experience. And this is especially important when you’re dealing with divorce! It’s very likely that one of the reasons your marriage ended was a lack of communication, ineffective communication, or some degree of misunderstanding between you and your ex. So, NOW is the perfect time to improve your communication skills for many reasons! Divorce does not end. If you have children with your ex, you will communicate with them for many years. Improving your communication skills will also greatly benefit your next romantic relationship and ALL of the relationships in your life! As I’ve been coaching my clients and doing my OWN thought work now for many years, I’ve learned SO many things! The biggest thing I’ve noticed is that our human brain acts the same way in almost every one! That may not seem possible, but it is! Today I discuss what life coaching is, how it’s different from therapy, and how it can benefit you if you’re dealing with divorce. Life coaching focuses on what’s happening right now, what a person wants next, and how to bridge the gap. A life Coach is a Mentor/ Guide/ Coach/ Accountability Partner/ Friend who will call you out when you’re showing up in a way you don’t want to, give you tough love, and believe in you and your potential way before you may be able to. I help you create the life you’ve always wanted. My purpose my passion and personal ministry is to give you the best help that you can get from an LDS person who has been where you are and stayed faithful during the trials of divorce. I've been where you are. I’ve learned SO much through my experience and through helping many many others through the trials of divorce. I offer you support, tools, and guidance to help you every step of the way! Enrollment is now OPEN in my exclusive Life Coaching Program Faith Filled Divorce. Since we just celebrated St Patrick’s Day I’ve been thinking about luck and how some people just feel like they're lucky. Are you one of those people? That it depends on your perception. How do you view the events in your life? How do you tell the story of your life? The past is just a story that you tell that only exists in your mind. WHAT?! Yes, that’s exactly what I said! The story that you are telling about your past depends on what you’re focusing on. This matters because it creates your thinking about your past and how you currently feel and act. And, this is GREAT NEWS because you get to choose what you think!! It may be hard to believe, but with coaching, you can learn to direct your thoughts to see your life, your experiences, and your divorce as opportunities to learn, grow, evolve, and become a better version of yourself. You can actually choose to see everything that’s happened in your life as perfect and right on time! You can also be LUCKY! This week I’m interviewing Josh Thompson and discussing all things about his life and healing journey after divorce. Joshua Thompson is the oldest of five siblings and was raised by ‘goodly parents’ in the beautiful mountains of Southern California. He served as a full-time missionary in the Washington Tacoma Mission and has served in various callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He was married in 2003 in the Bountiful Utah Temple and is the proud father of four children. Unfortunately, his marriage ended in divorce in 2021. Shortly after the divorce, Joshua created the YouTube channel ‘Junctions & Journeys’ where he produced approximately 75 videos discussing divorce from the perspective of an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. In his videos, he shared some of his personal struggles, triumphs, lessons learned, and various tidbits of inspiration that were part of his healing journey. Most importantly, he shared his testimony of Jesus Christ and the hope that only He can provide.Joshua earned an Associate Degree from BYU-Idaho and a Bachelor’s of Science and Master’s of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Utah. He currently works as an engineering project manager in the oil and gas industry and has called Texas ‘home’ since 2011.Joshua is passionate about many things including spending time with his children, eating delicious food, baking, working out, playing pickleball, reading, listening to podcasts, and serving those in need.Thank you so much for listening to this episode! I’m talking about the power of HOPE today! There is power in light! God’s power! John teaches us that “God is light, and in him is no darkness at all” (1 John 1:5). The sunlight is like God's love and support. It’s our connection to a higher power, to our true power source. It reminds us that he’s always there looking down on us, loving, supporting, guiding, and helping us. What I have found is that His plan is His purpose, and His divine wisdom, is far greater than anything our myopic vision and ideas can even comprehend. Hold on, friends! Never lose your HOPE! Don’t let the clouds of despair cloud your hope and view to the point that you lose it. God loves you! He is always there! He will never leave you alone. He is always be there for each of us! 🙏🏻Get the full show notes and learn more about my coaching here:https://www.ldsdivorce.com/105Thank you so much for listening to this episode! Today I’m talking about People Pleasing. Most of the time when we talk about People pleasing, it's in a negative context…but, you may not have ever considered it this way before, but it comes naturally to us! We are built to please other people. Humans are social creatures, it's wired into our DNA. It’s part of our genetic makeup that comes from our evolution. In primitive times, our survival depended on our ability to get along with each other. Remember our brain is designed to keep us safe and alive. Safety comes from staying in the pack or herd. So, it’s really natural for us to want other people to like us, that means in a survival situation people might be willing to share food or shelter with us. If people like us, It means that we might be able to mate and procreate, and the human species will continue to thrive.Get the full show notes and learn more about my coaching here:https://www.ldsdivorce.com/86
Today I’m talking about Co-Parenting with your Ex. Obviously you are DIVORCED- You are very different people with different lifestyles, goals, and values. After divorce you both lead very different lives! Sometimes one person leaves the church and embraces a whole new lifestyle. It’s normal to worry about the influence that the other parent has on your children. It’s normal to be concerned about the sort of things your kids will be exposed to when they’re with their other parents. The techniques I’m sharing with you today can be applied to anyone in your life you would like to forgive whether you have an ex with an affair partner or not! You need to know FORGIVENESS IS possible! It is a choice to forgive! Forgiveness is for YOU! It’s Not for your ex or their affair partner or anyone who’s wronged you. It is a gift and a blessing you give yourself to be free from the bitterness, resentment, rage, and anger you feel! The root cause of your pain comes from your THINKING. Remember your thoughts create your feelings!Get the full show notes and learn more about my coaching here:https://www.ldsdivorce.com/84

What is a Life Coach?A life coach is someone who can help you improve your life, feel better, and achieve your goals. We all need a little help sometimes, especially when it comes to making changes in our own patterns of behavior. Whether your goal is to be more confident, improve your relationships, find fulfillment in your life, or deal with a difficult person or situation or major life change, like divorce it can be pretty tough to figure out how to get from point A (identifying a goal) to point B (actually going after and achieving that goal). That’s where a life coach comes in.‧If you want to dive deeper into this work, visit my Website: https://www.ldsdivorce.com/free-coaching to schedule a Free Consultation‧Video Course: Finding Joy in the Seasons of Divorce: https://www.ldsdivorce.com/sacred-seasons-of-divorce

At this time of year, we stop and give thanks to God for all we’re blessed with! So I want to talk about gratitude for a moment… gratitude to me is very similar to appreciation. So you might use those words interchangeably. God actually commands us to be grateful. Why do you think that is? I believe it’s helps us see the good things in our lives. It helps us see The Lord’s hands in our lives. It creates a better picture of whatever is going on around us and it puts our mind in that more open abundant state.

All of us experience fear. It’s part of the human condition. We sometimes experience a lot more of it than others because of what’s going on in our own personal lives or what’s going on in the world. I think that there have been so many different things happening in the world that we have been using and seeing and has been triggering fear in us that some of us aren’t even aware of it.
As I’m coaching people they’re thinking that they’re angry or frustrated, but really when we’re getting down to it there’s a lot of fear going on.

I want to discuss the balance of life. Our brain is designed to avoid pain and seek pleasure. It's instinct and it keeps us alive! But, many times if we just follow our natural instincts, we will avoid everything that can actually help us progress!
Life is what WE make it. Ultimately, we create the lives we want to have regardless of what our circumstances are. As you practice being more aware of your thoughts and feelings you will gain the skills you need to CHANGE YOUR LIFE!

You can be right or you can be happy… think about it… In your relationships, in your business and in your life!
Being “right” about life means… that you’re RIGHT, things DO stink right now and there’s nothing you can do about it. BUT, if you can accept that You’re wrong about that THEN you have the POWER to change your thinking…which will change EVERYTHING in your life!

Shame and blame are toxic emotions, they are like poison to our bodies, minds, and our relationships. So, here’s what happens. When we fail at something or a negative event happens, if it's something that causes us to lose our dignity or self-respect, we immediately feel shame. Then in a get in this CYCLE that I call the shame- blame pendulum.
The way to stop the cycle is to have compassion. Pay attention to these powerful emotions and when they do come up, you need to have compassion for yourself and others.

In coaching we call mantras Intentional Thoughts- We use them to direct our thoughts daily and frequently many times throughout the day!
KEY POINTS: 1- While our immediate problems tend to distract us in everyday life, having a mantra can help us stay in touch with our deepest goals. 2- Mantras ultimately can do many things, such as increase your productivity, inspire you, or help you change a habit. 3- A mantra can be more impactful if it is short, emotionally intelligent • • • • If you want to see if Life Coaching is Right for You, visit me at: • https://www.jennzingmark.com/joy-in-the-journey

Pain is a necessary part of life. You only know happiness when you know life is pain. Along with serving as teacher, pain also teaches you what you're made of in terms of what you can handle as an individual. I also described two different types of pain…clean pain and dirty pain. If you haven't listened to that episode yet, go back and listen to it.
Negative emotions are painful, most people would rather do anything they can to avoid feeling them. This is a problem! Pain itself is not dangerous, but our fear of pain is! When we are afraid of feeling pain, we do other things to buffer against the pain.
If people never experienced hurt, they wouldn’t know what it was. On the surface level, that seems like a blessing, but think for a moment: if we didn’t know pain, how would we know peace? If you don’t know you’ve hurt or been hurt, how would you know that you need to heal? It is the contrast that provides that amazing feeling! This is why there’s opposition in all things, even opposition within us as human beings in our life experience.
Without the feeling of pain, people wouldn’t be aware of dangerous situations—what they should or shouldn’t do for survival. Life IS pain and this is ultimately a good thing for all of us!
Circumstances are things outside of our control. They are indisputable facts that everyone in the world would agree on. Circumstances are always 100% completely neutral. The circumstances themselves cannot cause us any pain, sadness or regret. It is when we have a THOUGHT about a circumstance that causes us to FEEL something.
As you learn to direct your thoughts, you can feel LOVE for yourself, for God and everyone in your life. This is the work that I do in coaching. It would be my honor and privilege to help you!
Finding Love After Divorce Is Possible!
The years leading up to your divorce, the divorce, and then the aftermath, can be more than a little messy and leave you feeling drained both emotionally and physically. It can take some time to get your feet back underneath you and feel as though you are moving forward again. And although you have a bit of a road ahead of you, the time will come when you are ready to heal, ready to pick up your life again, and move on.
The great news is that it doesn’t have to take forever. As a life coach, I specialize in helping women move into a healthy place after divorce. It takes some intentional work, but you can get to your new place faster than you thought possible, and with a stronger and healthier mindset than ever before.
Setting a boundary requires more courage than simply eliminating someone from your life or continuing to harbor resentment, so take it as a gift and try not to overanalyze it. Boundaries are the most amazing, wonderful, and yet difficult things to implement.
They are beautiful tools that can create intimacy in relationships rather than blocking it out. They don’t keep people out of our lives—they simply keep people from violating important spaces.
Remember that if you’re willing to have the courage to honor yourself, tell the truth, and ultimately protect yourself, you will see an increase of peace and intimacy in ALL of the relationships in your life.
Life is messy and things can seem overwhelming. If you’re dealing with a difficult marriage or going through separation or divorce, you can feel burdened by all the emotions and changes you’re facing. I have an idea for you.
How you handle this crisis in your life….It’s YOUR CHOICE. How you respond to negative people…It’s YOUR CHOICE. How you respond to broken promises…it's YOUR CHOICE. How you respond to toxic situations…It’s YOUR CHOICE.
The person you become because of this trial you’re experiencing….It’s YOUR CHOICE. No matter what other people in your life are doing or how they may act, you get to show up how you WANT to.
Hey Yall! Welcome to Taking Care of YOU! Part 2! If you haven't listened to last week’s podcast, you need to go back and listen to it before this one. Last week I talked about the importance of self care and owning the responsibility of taking care of you! I discussed several ways to identify your own needs and how they are or are not being met. The other component of self care we discussed last week is being aware of your relationship with yourself and choosing to be kind to yourself. I’m going to continue the discussion on Self Care with the final area…taking responsibility for owning your feelings and emotions.
Are YOU Taking Care of YOU?!
Not only do you deserve to take care of yourself, it is your responsibility. You owe it to yourself and to the people around you! Which is great news really because you’re the best person for the job!
I’m going to talk about self-care today in a different way than you’ve probably heard before and I’m going to tell you why it’s important and it is your responsibility to practice self-care.
I really believe it is the most important thing that you can do for your family and loved ones and most importantly for yourself.

I’m talking about making investments….not in bitcoin or the stock market….I’m talking about making a choice to invest in you! To invest in your marriage instead of paying “whatever it costs” to get divorced.
I feel like every marriage can be saved if BOTH people are willing to invest whatever it takes to repair the problems at the root cause.
You may wonder why am I talking about saving your marriage if I’m a life coach that helps people dealing with divorce? Well, many of my clients are not divorced, but are in difficult marriages and need help figuring out when to invest MORE time, money, effort, energy etc. into their marriage and when to get out of it. I actually coach on this a lot!
In this Podcast, I am talking with Lindsay Cluff. She is a Life coach who specializes in working with couples- I love Lindsay’s open, honest, real, connection with people. I’m thrilled to have her on the podcast today! You will see for yourself how amazing she is! Welcome Lindsay!
We will discuss some of the biggest problems couples are dealing with today such as: the possibility for a marriage to survive a serious pornography addiction, couples dealing with extramarital affairs, and difficult marriages on the brink of divorce.
Research shows that healthy relationships can help you in 4 important ways: Live longer, deal with stress, be healthier, and experience a higher quality of life.
What I want you to take away from this podcast is that relationships are important! The research shows that healthy relationships can help you Live longer, deal better with stress, be healthier, and experience a higher quality of life.
I want you to evaluate the types of relationships you have in your life and make sure that you have 3 types in your life: People that are behind you, got your back, ride or die people, relationships with others in your current situations- whatever that is, and relationships with people who have traveled where you are and been successful. They can mentor, model and show you what's possible. Relationships of any kind take time, effort, energy, commitment, follow-through, so plan on investing to secure each of these 3 types of relationships in your life.
This is a proven formula for a healthier, happier, longer, more fulfilling life! And that's what I want for myself and each of you!
Occasionally we’re given opportunities to see the big picture. We were given an expansive view of how far we’ve come and where we’re going. We almost instantly gain perspective and we’re able to see the purpose in our pain. To realize the wisdom and growth we’ve gained in our journey.
But most of the time we’re in the thick of it. We’re in the forest surrounded by thick trees covered by treetops and we just keep going. We can't really see the destination we’re aiming for but we know it’s there. We get caught up in the daily activities of life, working, taking care of ourselves and our children and our families. We can lose sight of how far we’ve come, the beauty that is all around us and we just can’t always see the destination ahead of us.
Fortunately our father in heaven gives us these beautiful aha moments or epiphanies where we get to step outside of our daily path for a few minutes and see the big picture or expanded view of our journey. These experiences are special and may come at different times for everyone. Maybe these experiences come in moments of prayer or meditation. Or maybe these moments come when we’re on vacation or out of our normal daily activities. I think they are rare moments and when they happen it’s important for us to recognize them and learn all that we can from them and remember them when we get back on the path of our daily lives.

Talking to your kids about divorce is not easy. So, what is the best way to talk to your kids about Divorce?
Several of my current clients are in the early stages of separation or divorce and have children. This is an important question…. How do you talk to your children about separating or divorcing? What do you tell them and how?
As you all know if you’re currently considering separation or divorce or in the midst of it… you’re already dealing with a lot of emotions of your own, just accepting the reality of your situation for yourself. The thought of telling your children can be overwhelming and bring on another huge pile of emotions and decisions…
DO you dream about your future? DO you even allow yourself to dream something wildly creative and fulfilling? Let yourself dream big…HUGE even. IF you can dream it, you can make it a reality and I can help you achieve it. I would love to help you make your seemingly impossible goals a reality!
Believe in your future self!
The work of aligning your thoughts with your end game is essential! This is not an affirmation or pretty thought. You have to find a way to think about your goal or vision for your future that you really believe in will direct and drive your work!
When you think about your goal or vision for your future, it may seem way beyond your current abilities. The process of dreaming and thinking about your goals in this present moment is what brings to light all the things preventing you from believing in a deeper way. Setting goals and believing in them enough to achieve them will bring up the obstacles and roadblocks on your path to deeper greatness! You are not going to be any better - you're not going to be any greater. But, you will have removed the obstacles that are blocking you from knowing how great you are. That is a very big difference.
Many of you are dealing with some major life changing situations right now. Begin to accept and embrace your new normal. With God all things are possible! He can turn the broken, messed up pieces of your life into a beautiful story of growth, faith and triumph! Focus on the present, don't let yourself get caught up in longing for days gone by or morning for the unfulfilled dreams of your future that are not gone. Reach out of your comfort zone and find a support group. Surround yourself with a support group of likeminded people who may have traveled the roads you're on or who are now in similar situations.
What's holding you back?
Many of us have pain and negative experiences in our pasts. When we choose to define ourselves and our future based on past experiences, we can become discouraged and filled with regret and remorse.
I like to take a different approach and look at the past as if it is PERFECT! It’s really empowering if you think about the past if everything happened exactly as it was supposed to. What if there were NO mistakes? What if everything happened for a reason. What if everything that has happened in your life has been preparation for now? What if all of those experiences were LESSONS for you to learn from?
When we put our faith in God and trust that His plans for our life are far better than anything we can imagine, we will see miracles! And, if you can't see those miracles yet, don't give up! God is NOT finished yet!
Have you ever messed up, made a mistake, offended or hurt someone you love and really regretted it? In an effort to keep us safe, our brain offers a whole lot of thoughts that justify our actions, minimize the situation, and deflect the responsibility of our actions.
We all have parts of ourselves that aren't the best…The parts of us that we don’t like….we’re all human. And we’re all 100% worthy of love exactly the way we are- flaws and all!
Let’s talk about THAT OTHER side of ourselves… The side that we don’t like so much they were not proud of.
I can help you turn your past tragedy into triumph! Your thoughts are powerful. Use them to create the future you deserve. Let me help you reach your goals, regardless of what has happened in your past. Many of your old wounds are just old negative thoughts. You can choose what you want to think about the past, present, and the future. It's the best news ever!! People or experiences in the past have NO power over us today or in the future if we don't allow it. We just need to be empowered to think Positive thoughts On Purpose!
Find your Better Self! Count your blessings daily AND take better care of your mind, body, and spirit. See Better in Others. Expand your circle. Do NEW things and help others. Look to God daily for help to become the Better version of yourself! Get Better Moving Forward. Choose to make your future BETTER than your past. This HARD part of your life can make you grow Stronger!
