Welcome back to another mini rant about my life! The self-sabotage queen is back with another f*ck up. But how do we earn forgiveness and trust back?
Life has been crazy the past couple of months. Between starting my career, moving out on my own, adulting and figuring out my life, I just needed to take a step back. So here's a quick update on my life.
My last week of freedom has come to an end and I start my career tomorrow. Here’s to a new season of adulthood.
Being young and on your shit brings a lot of criticism from others. But does anyone realize how lonely it can get too?
There’s been a lot of talk and debate over the natural hair movement and how the world sees black women's natural hair. In this episode I’ll be discussing the conversation around the natural hair community, the natural hair movement, and of course, us black women with 4c hair.
So many of us are young and on our sh*t and people are mad about it? Let's talk about how being young and successful brings out the haters and how people project their insecurities and failures onto others.
My life has progressed so much and as I enter into a new chapter, I just want to live as happily and free as possible. This is more of my rants and venting but it highlights my healing and making peace with my past as I step into the future and accept all things that are meant for me. Maybe this will resonate with someone.
There’s a lot going on, but not much going on, and I honestly have no idea what’s going on. I’m just taking things day by day. Everything is pretty much just in the wind right now, but I just wanted to give you guys a little update on my life.
In the new age of dating, everyone is “talking” having “sneaky links” or getting themselves into the infamous “situationships” What happened to dating and commtitment? This one's personal. Step into my life as we discuss the dangers of “situationships”
Who would I be if I didn't self sabotage in my relationships? And I know I shouldn't say that about myself, but this is me owning up to my actions and doing a little self reflection. So many people do it and don't even realize it. So let's work through it.
There's no point in being miserable in a relationship, It's time to be vocal about what we want and need and having our needs met. But we should also learn when to walk away when our expectations are being met.
As a black woman entering into the field of school social work and education, I've realized now more than ever that representation matters in the classroom. Our black and brown children deserve teachers that care about them and can relate on a level that no one else can. I've realized and grown to understand that children learn best when they have a teacher that looks like them, and here's why.
Congrats to all the class of 2022 graduates! We did it yall! If you're starting a new job, taking a gap year, traveling, doesn't matter, I'm proud of you all. But don't be like me and let post grad depression get the best of you. Take some time to relax, you deserve it.
I'm at a point in my life where everything seems to be going right, but I have no idea what's going on. How do I make friends as an adult? What do I do now that I'm done with school? Is this post grad depression? What's really going on?
Growth and change is so uncomfortable. As we step into a new journey in our lives, we may need to take time to reflect and release what is no longer serving us, and that starts with ourselves.
I'm so here for the fitness journeys. And I'm finally at a point again where I can say I genuinely love the way I look. This is just a reflection of my (not so much) weight gain/fitness journey and some things I've learned about myself during this time.
We're back with more of my random thoughts. I want us to discover the power of stillness. Let's take some time to reflect and become more mindful of who we are in this world.
I feel like so many people try to live a "perfect life" and follow silly rules created by society. And I'm here to dead that. This is YOUR world, live YOUR life. Your 20's are meant for fun and adventure. We're young, lets live a little!
I'm in my last month of grad school and truthfully, it's whooping my a**, but I'm doing the damn thing okay! I didn't have time to document my entire grad school journey but I figured I'd update you guys now. So join me in my dramatics as I finish this last semester.
Everyone talks about self care and their physical bodies. But are we really taking care of ourselves?
These are just some of the thoughts that I'd usually keep to myself. But I thought maybe someone out there could relate, or maybe someone out there needs to hear this. I want us to work on being intentional with our lives babe.
The one about relationships. This is for my hopeless romantics, those of us who just got out of relationships, and those of us looking for love. Honestly, just listen to me rant about any and everything relationships.
I always have these moments where I think about old conversations and develop new insight. So here's part 2 of my rant about relationships.
"Control your emotions" doesn't mean "avoid your emotions." Feel your sht, understand your sht, but don't lose your sh*t. Let's talk about those feels and how to go through them.
My impulsivity lead me to start a podcast. I just like to talk sometimes and somebody's gonna listen right? This is just my intro episode so don't expect much. But we're here for a good time.
