Last night, I was too tired to even get online and just before I went to bed, I embarked on a journey that led me to an appreciation for a classic - "Mama Mia" by ABBA. A song that never really resonated with me, until I stumbled upon a unique rendition by Ripley Alexander, an Australian Idol contestant. His acoustic version, infused with a ballad-like quality, opened my eyes (and ears) to the depth of this seemingly upbeat tune.
Alexander's version stripped away the pop veneer, revealing a core of raw emotion and heartbreak. The lyrics, so often lost in the catchy melody, came to the forefront, painting a story of love lost and the pain that accompanies it. It was a revelation, and I found myself captivated by the beauty that lay within the heartache.
Inspired by this newfound perspective, I decided to create my own cover of "Mama Mia". Late into the night, when everyone in the neighborhood was asleep, I poured my heart into the song. The lyrics, once overlooked, echoed in my mind, their meaning amplified in the quiet darkness.

I have not been feeling well since yesterday, but let's talk about Las Vegas for now. Las Vegas, the city that sparkles brighter than a diamond, is a dream destination for many, but for locals and drivers, like my husband, who drives for Lyft, it's just another day in the office.
Yesterday and today, like most days, the traffic in Vegas was quite a sight! The Strip, with its dazzling lights and bustling crowd, was alive with energy. But let's be real: while it's a visual treat for tourists, it can be a bit of a hassle for our local drivers. My husband sent me a video of him driving around the strip instead of messaging or calling. It's pretty damn busy. He drives Lyft, by the way for those who are not aware.
There were a few events happening around the city today, which added to the usual traffic. Plus, there are some changes afoot on the city's roadways. According to some news reports, Las Vegas is trimming down the number of lanes for cars to make way for buses and bikes. This is a pretty cool move for the environment and public transit, but it does mean navigating through fewer lanes for our car drivers.
Despite the traffic, there's no denying the charm of Las Vegas. The bright lights, the iconic landmarks, and the unique vibe—it's a city like no other. Whether you're a visitor taking in the sights or a local weaving through the busy streets, Vegas never ceases to amaze. For our everyday heroes, dealing with traffic is just part of the daily grind. Hats off to them! Their determination and spirit are what keep the city moving, no matter how congested the roads get.
So, the next time you find yourself in a car, either behind the wheel or in the backseat, take a moment to appreciate the city's beauty amidst the hustle. Because, let's face it, there's no place quite like Las Vegas. There you have it! A little glimpse into the daily traffic hustle in Vegas. So, I've got to tell you about this super cool hike my husband and I went on in La Trinidad, Benguet a few weeks ago. You know, it's one of those experiences that just sticks with you. We were up in the mountains, surrounded by all this greenery—it was already pretty awesome. But then, out of nowhere, these thin clouds started to roll in. They were just hanging out, floating around, doing their cloud thing. It was like they were playing tag with the mountain peaks, and we had front-row seats to the action. And then, as if that wasn't cool enough, this fog started creeping in. It was like watching a slow-motion wave at a rock concert, but instead of people, it was this soft, fluffy fog. It would cover everything one minute, and the next, it would pull back, like it was teasing us.
The whole thing was just... wow! Standing there, watching this cloud-fog dance-off, it was like being in one of those nature documentaries. Except it was real, and it was happening right in front of us. We were just there, in the middle of it all, feeling super lucky. It was one of those moments that made you appreciate the world, you know? It was a reminder that there's so much cool stuff out there, just waiting to be discovered.
So yeah, that's our magical mountain adventure. It was a day filled with clouds, fog, and a whole lot of awe. And you know what? I can't wait to see what else nature has in store for us.

I have a couple of friends asking me about my Cresent Moon post and how it looks and feels to be out there. Well, maybe a video would answer that.
By the way, for those who haven't seen my moon post, it is located somewhere in La Trinidad, Benguet, and going up there is a bit challenging since you have to go through a dense mountain trek with slippery, mossy, and muddy parts. It is surrounded by untouched nature, with nature sounds in the background. But all these challenges are worth it once you get to the top, where the moon is located.

Okay, this is kind of cheesy, so bear with it lol. So, my husband and I have been married for 12 years now, and we still find joy in the little things. He surprised us the other day and came to visit us all the way from Las Vegas. Yesterday, we decided to take a walk along the beach at noon. The sun was beating down on us, and the sand was hot, but that didn't stop us from taking off our shoes and feeling the sand between our toes. As we walked, we watched the waves crash onto the shore. It was mesmerizing, and we couldn't help but stop and watch for a while.
As we stood there, I couldn't help but think about how those waves were a lot like our marriage. Sometimes things are calm and smooth, and other times things get a little chaotic, but we always come back to each other. The sea breeze was refreshing, and we just enjoyed each other's company, talking about everything and nothing at the same time. It was just a simple moment, but it was perfect because we were together. And that's what our marriage is all about—being together through thick and thin.

As the month of November rolled in, I found myself standing in front of my mom's house, overlooking the vast expanse of the rice fields. It was the day I visited my mom (All Saints Day here in the Philippines). When the sun was about to set, I was ready to watch the sky with its enchanting colors. It was a scene that was so familiar yet so breathtakingly beautiful. The rice fields, stretching as far as the eye could see, were bathed in a warm, golden glow. You know, it's kind of funny, but sunsets to me never get old. I could stare at them all day and all night.
As the sun began its descent, the fields seemed to shimmer and dance, reflecting the hues of the setting sun. My heart smiled. And again. Over and over. The air was filled with a sense of tranquility, a quiet so profound that it seemed as if time had slowed down. The kaleidoscope of colors in the sky was a sight to behold. The sun was slowly sinking into the horizon, casting long shadows across the fields. The sky was ablaze with hues of orange, pink, and purple, each color blending seamlessly into the next. The sight of the sunset was like a master artist's canvas, a blend of colors so perfect that it left me in awe. The rustling of the wind through the rice stalks and the occasional sounds of the birds in the distance added to the symphony of sounds that accompanied the sunset. I swear, it was absolutely magical.
Watching the sunset over the farmland on that first November evening was a wonderful experience. It was a reminder of the simple pleasures in life, the beauty of nature, and the joy of being home. As the last rays of the sun disappeared into the horizon, I was filled with a sense of peace and contentment, grateful for the opportunity to witness such a stunning spectacle. As I walked back towards mom's house, the afterglow of the sunset still lingering in the sky, I couldn't help but look forward to the next sunset, to the next symphony of colors that would paint the sky, and to the next chance to stand in awe of nature's beauty.

It's almost noon here, and I just finished doing some laundry. I am resting a bit before I prepare some lunch, and in a few hours, I am going to pick up my daughter from school. So maximizing my time, it's karaoke time! I was playing Spotify a little while ago, and one song caught my attention, and I thought I was going to do a cover.
This is a piece by Lionel Ritchie entitled "HELLO". It's one of those old-time favorites of mine; even when I was little, I thought the melody was so beautiful. It's another busy day, and I thought I'd share a short video of me visiting my neighbor's vegetable garden. So, after I dropped off my daughter at school this morning, I wanted to stop at the farmer's market, or we call it the wet market here in the Philippines, but unfortunately, I didn't bring enough cash. When I got back home, I saw my neighbor in their yard watering their vegetables, and I was told that some were ready to harvest, like eggplant and bottle gourd, and I said, "cool, that was timely!" I bought eggplants by the way. My daughter loves deep fried eggplants, so...Here's one of the videos their bottle gourds looking sooo fresh! Enjoy, my friends!

A day of rest is what all of us really need. Peace. quiet, but not quite here. The rain has been pouring since early afternoon. But yes, no drama. No unnecessary adulting. No unwelcome peopling, lol. I didn't take a nap though, but at least I didn't do heavy and challenging chores today, and I am going to take everything easy. So, what about karaoke in the rain? Right after I dropped my daughter off at school, I immediately did some laundry and cooked lunch. And if I get tired from doing chores, I can't think straight. So you know the drill. This weekend was not so good for me and my daughter. We have been sick with the flu and mostly in bed all day, and I have not been doing great. This rain is giving us so much anxiety, and I am over it. I am just stopping by to say hello.

A chilly Thursday to you all, amazing people!
The typhoon left, but the rain got stronger. I just got back home from dropping off my daughter at school, and I am literally soaking wet. Our front yard is a little flooded, and I can't do anything about it. I had no chance to walk around and take some photos, so...
Meanwhile, my husband is out driving around the strip, and he sent me a video of the newest tourist attraction in Vegas as he passed by. I posted one about two weeks ago, and if you haven't seen that, here is another one. This is the MSG Sphere, with the largest LED lights in the world.

Good afternoon, amazing people.
Apparently, it's Thursday. I've been so crazy busy that I had literally no idea what day it was. This is not a new thing, yet it still surprises me every time. Time flies when you are busy—like busier than busy. This week was the start of my daughter's school year, and my to-do list was getting longer, and I love that, but sometimes, what our mind is saying is against our body's capabilities. We can only do so much in a day. Are you all making it through the week, okay? Tell me something good.
Anyway, before getting back to my routine, I've got to take some time to chill, and of course, my favorite pastime is karaoke. Happy Hump Day, amazing people!
As most of my friends know, I am a selenophile. My husband likewise knows I am moon-obsessed. Selenophine is a person who loves the moon. Honestly, I could sit all night staring at the moon, whether it is a crescent, half, or full moon. I am just super mesmerized and curious what it would be like to live on it.
A few days ago, my husband sent me photos and videos of the moon landing on Earth. I am talking about the MGM Sphere in Las Vegas. A month ago, Las Vegas lit the world's largest LED sphere lights in the heart of Sin City. It is the newest tourist attraction along the Vegas strip, and I just thought it was freaking cool. My husband drives Lyft after work, and he happened to witness and take this video and photo while picking up a passenger. I thought I'd share it withyou all too.

It has been raining here for the past few days, and I was surprised when I woke up today that the sun was showing up. The super typhoon left the Philippines, but I heard another one is coming this weekend. So far, I am not seeing that yet.
Since the day became brighter today, I am just going to do a song cover. This one is an old classic song by Natalie Cole entitled "Starting Over Again". I have always loved Natalie Cole's music since I was young, and here it is. Music, maestro!

Good afternoon, amazing people!
Two days ago (Tuesday afternoon), a super typhoon named Egay with the international name Doksuri landed in the Philippines and hit the northern part, which includes where I live. In the Philippines, when you say super typhoon, it's a cyclone with a most extreme breeze speed surpassing 185 kph, or in excess of 100 bunches. That is serious areas of strength and really could blow vehicles, houses, buildings, and could kill individuals instantly. When I felt the breeze coming towards us, I started panicking. I realize I shouldn't be, yet typhoons give me uneasiness and too much anxiety. I have encountered a ton of horrendous typhoons since I was young, and it's tramatizing.
Here in our area, the river flow and the roads are flooded. The wind was whisling like crazy, and I heard my neighbor's rooftop fly away the first hour the typhoon landed. I was stressed our rooftop would be blown away as well, but thank God, it didn't. Despite the fact that we were flodded a little inside our home, our overhangs were obliterated, a couple of trees fell, and the power went off for a day, I'm as yet thankful that my daughter and I are safe. I count myself favored each day I awaken and have one more opportunity at getting life right. That taught me to pay more attention to the little things and take nothing for granted.
Today, the typhoon is leaving the Philippines, however the downpour still continues. I'm okay with that, as long as the wind calms down a little. I believe it's getting there. To every one of my friends who are affected by typhoon Egay and everybody out there, please stay safe!

Happy Hump Day, y'all amazing people!
This week and the past week, I have been watching my favorite survival series, "Naked And Afraid," and I have been following them since they started their first season a little less than a decade ago. The last one that just ended last Sunday was "Last One Standing" Season 1. For those who have subscribed to the Discovery Channel, you can watch them every Sunday. You can search on their YouTube channel or Facebook Page if you have not seen any of their videos yet.
So "The Last One Standing" is a group of 12 naked survivalists in an African jungle as they compete in a multiphase challenge and have their skills tested to win $100,000. They have to survive in the wild for 45 days with no clothing, build shelter, and find food from everything they see in the jungle.
Anyway, I only mentioned that because one of their challenges was to cross a 2-mile (if I am not mistaken) raging river full of rocks for them to get into the next challenge. It reminds me of Snowbird Resort in Utah, which I posted in my previous posts. Check out the video for reference.

I am saddened by the news I read on the internet this morning that one of my favorite Asian singers, Coco Lee, passed away due to depression. As a person who was diagnosed with depression myself, this is truly heartbreaking. The world's changing a lot these days. It affects all of us to some degree. Yet here we are, waking up and taking on each and every day. Usually, we never take a moment to appreciate that fact. Everyone is tired, overwhelmed, and yet still putting one foot in front of the other and taking care of what they need to. I am sending everyone virtual hugs, especially those who need them most. Hang in there. This too shall pass.

I am having terrible back pain and headaches again today after I ran errands this afternoon. I often get sick every time I walk in the rain. Hello there, y'all amazing people!
I was telling my husband a few days ago that our daughter @naniplayergamer wanted to travel after her recognition day, which would be on Monday. She wanted to go to the mountains, but it has been raining here for the past few weeks and started pouring again today. So I guess, that is negative unless the weather cooperates. If not, we're just going to go around the town and enjoy what we've got here.
This morning, though, my husband messaged me that he wanted to go on a road trip to Utah. By the way, he is in Las Vegas, is taking a 3-day off, and wanted to chill a little bit. He sent me this video of him driving to Bryce Canyon National Park—a very cool, out-of-this-world beauty. I just hope he won't get bored walking around the rocky mountains. I will probably post a few pictures on my next blog.

So I just downloaded the 3Speak app, and I am curious about this ThreeShorts video posting.
I posted a few articles a few months ago about this flower farm, but I don't think I've posted a video of it. Maybe I did; I don't remember. But anyway, this is a pink larkspur flower field at Northern Blossom Flower Farm, located in the mountains of Atok, Benguet, here in the Philippines. Walking to the farm of flowers made me feel like I was in other countries where flowers bloom all over. It was truly a great experience being on top of the mountains of flowers. Here's a short clip. I began nodding off an hour earlier, around 12 midnight, however for reasons unknown I was unable to sleep, and I felt like an angel was whispering into my ear. Ahhh, Saturday night! If I had to pick my favorite day of the week, it would be Saturday. Saturdays are for chillin', relaxing, giving yourself a break, and allowing the world to spin around on its own for a while so you can catch your breath. Three mango fruits had fallen from our mango tree due to strong winds. It was Typhon Betty; it has arrived which was supposed to land two days ago. I am not really a fan of typhoons, and to calm my freaking self, I had to do some karaoke instead of going back to my afternoon nap. Music calms my soul.
So this is an old classic Filipino song, and it was a huge hit during the 90's entitled "Mahal Pa Rin Kita" by" Rockstar. I actually love this song, and if I am not mistaken, I was in high school when this was on the top chart. I heard it again after so many years, and it flashed me back to my teenage years.

This week seems like all we do is go against the flow, which, to be honest, is exhausting. It's okay to just float and do what needs to be done, and take a breather from time to time.
I'm just going to relax and enjoy the first day of the weekend because it's Friday. That's my weekend goal. I am just right here taking deep breath and letting go of myshoulders' tension, letting go of the things I really can't control and just be.

Happy New Week, amazing people!
Today is Labor Day and also our town fiesta here in San Juan, La Union. And earlier today, around 10 in the morning, there was a street dancing parade where every barangay had to showcase their own piece.
Our town's main sport is surfing, since we are located just east of the West Philippine Sea making it making it a popular beach destination among local travelers looking for a quick weekend getaway especially those from the urban areas like Metro Manila. Most of the participating barangays have a surfing board accessory in their dance presentation.
A fiesta is a celebration of gratitude for a specific town or an area including the people's blessings. They are dependably goals for social occasions and festivities, and Filipinos love celebrations like this.

Last weekend, I had to attend a birthday party for my nephew, which was held at the farm. I arrived at my mom's house a few hours earlier before the party, which is close to my nephew's house. While killing time, I took my dog (who lives with mom) for a walk in the woods (just a few walks from her backyard). The woods are full of mahogany trees, which I love the most. Watch the video to appreciate. My dog, Sofia, loved it too.

A blessed Black Saturday, amazing friends.
I just wanted to share a few clips I took during our visit a few days earlier to the floating restaurant under a highway bridge- The Riverfarm.
An agritourism destination, Riverfarm is a seafood restaurant located at km 282, Baroro Bacnotan, La Union. According to the proprietor, his father started the Golden Tilapia fish farm, and he then fabricated a cottage where he could go to rest, which at that point, formed into a little eatery. It is now situated on a vast tract of land adjacent to the Baroro River, fourteen years later. The proprietor shares that they likewise plan to open a quaint little inn before long confronting the waterway.
By the way, their golden tilapia is the bomb!

It'e been a busy start of the week for me and just now getting on. Anyway, when I'm feeling particularly adventorous, I sometimes take my introverted self outside and go for a beach stroll and sight-seeing. Where do you like to take yourself the most? Trivia:
A few years back, killings took place here in the Philippines and mostly in karaoke bars (between 2002 and 2012) and it's suspected that at least 12 people were killed in connection to singing Frank Sinatra's hit song "My Way." One incident was when a young guy was singing off-key and wouldn’t stop singing, the guard lost his mind and pulled out his gun, and shot the guy. Heartbreaking.

Nothing is quite as breathtaking as a sunrise in the countryside. Whether you are a professional photographer or just someone who loves to take photos, capturing the beauty of a farmland sunrise can be a unique and rewarding experience.
The marvelous sunrise provides a breathtaking view of the rolling hills of farmland, as the sun peeks out above the horizon and casts its warm glow. Waking up to such a sight fills me with immense gratitude, as I take pleasure in admiring the charming dew drops that shimmer on the grassy fields. The undisturbed tranquility of the skyline is simply breathtaking, and I'm filled with an appreciation for nature at its finest. Indeed, waking up to the beauty of a marvelous sunrise and splendid farmland is an experience that I'm so grateful for!

Howdy, y'all beautiful people!
So another rare plant is here (well, for me). Still from our Atok trip, I saw this plant called "Dusty Miller" plant that looks like it was soaked in a snow. According to our tour guide in Northern Blossom Flower Farm where I took this video and photo, is a pretty decorativeold-fashioned plant - also known as "Silver Ragwort". It's an annual plant that has silvery-grayish green thin hairs that helpto resist from extreme heat and drought.
When you touch it, it feels like a soft wool or felt paper. It can grow from twelve to eighteen inches tall.. I was kind of amazed, it was my first time seeing this plant my whole life. I was told it is very heat and drought tolerant so it can grow best in dry hot places.
My daughter and I had fun taking pictures of the field. I can't wait to get back up there again soon. Anyone have seen a plant like this? Let me know whatcha think!

I am tired teling them how painful listening to their noises, so just sang it out loud. There's a story about Frank Sinatra's "MY WAY" here in the Philippines. Here in the country, Videoke or karaoke is the king. Every corner of the nation has at least one Videoke bar in it and one of the most requested song is "MY WAY". I love this song too and I used to listen this song played by my unclewhen I was a little. It is also one of my dad's fave songs when we was still alive. So anyway, a videoke bar here in the Philippines ain't fun without an alcohol. Hello all.
I mentioned in my previous post a few days ago that I was having a problem with my neighbors due to their constant noises and all that. I also lifted that up to the authorities, but oh well. So anyway, they were having karaoke again earlier until around 9pm and it's friggin' loud my ears couldn't handle it any longer.
Solution: If you can't beat them, join them. Lol.
So here's my karaoke revenge to them singing Air Supply's "Having You Near Me". I am sure everyone knows the song. Even my dog memorized its lyrics.

Hello there!
Bedtime chill just because it's weekend. I am a fan of Adelle and one of my favorite songs of her is "Easy On Me". For some reason, I can relate to the lyrics. The first lines already gave me goosies and made my eyes water. My life have travelled from hell and back and the lines "I know there is hope in these waters...but I can’t bring myself to swim...when I am drowning in this silence” just hit me big time.
You know, being a human is messy, complicated, tough at times. It's wonderful and yet frustrating and it's marvelous and then it's a seriously big pain in the butt. Sometimes a shift in our perspective from a different angle gives us a whole new avenue.
Just realized it's Mental Health Day yesterday - To those who are going through life's struggles, you are not alone. Sending love and light all especially to those who need it most.

Good morning or good evening, lovely people!
I took this day easy and lazy, although I did a few laundry, that pretty much all. The rest of the day was spend watching TV and some naps in between. Earlier this evening, my daughter @naniplayergamer had her extra-curricular Coding and Programming online class - not related to her school. She attends class every Sundays - one hour per week. I enrolled her via Facebook Ad 2 months ago. Since she loves playing online games like Roblox, doing digital arts and everything about computer, my husband and I granted her request. She rarely ask anything and she's a smart, polite kid - she deserved it.
While I was watching Tv, I was curious about their module/lesson this week so I had to take a peek and took a short video of her activity. She coded/created an online game from scratch. I think she did a good job. Just thought I'd share.

Greetings.
Just a short jam singing for hope before bed. I lost it these past 2 years and been a struggle big time. It took me a long time to find that hope back all over again. Hope sees me through the darkest times and pushes me to believe in something big - bigger than me and my dreams that I could be able to share it with others.
James Igram's song "Just Once" to me is a song of hope.

This is my first time joining the community and I thought I'd join this week invitation with the theme: "Nothing Is Impossible". I chose to cover James Ingram's "Just Once" because it is one of my favorite songs and to me, it means "hope" rather than heartbreak.
Today, I singing for hope (please bear with the poor audio and my non-singing voice) and I believe that nothing is impossible. I lost hope these past years and been a struggle big time. It took me a long time to find it back all over again. Hope sees me through the darkest times and pushes me to believe in something big - bigger than me and my dreams that I could be able to share it with others.

Happy Friday all!
It's finally weekend. I may deserve all the sleep I can have tonight, but I don't know that I will ever deserve my wonder dog. She saw the worst life has to offer for the past 2 years and her first two years of her life (she just turned 2 a month ago) yet, she loves everyone. She wakes up giggly and happy every single day and works so damn hard to make hoomans happy.
Like all dogs out there, my wonder aspin (Phillipine local dog) loves me more than she loves herself. We could all learn a lot from them. I know I have. Always have.

Well, hello there!
I am planning to unplug this coming weekend and need a break from everything. I am also hoping for a serene and a peaceful one.
The world'd chaos is exhausting and a visit to the beach would be a good idea. Watch the waves dance and chase them sunsets. A day with nature and just be.
