In honor of Native American Heritage Month, we are taking a look at Native history, with a focus on the Plains Natives (1860-1890). We take excerpts from books and songs about prominent historical figures such as Sitting Bull and Crazy Horse, while also looking at historical figures that may not be known to you such as Zitkala-Sa and Sarah Winnemucca. As sad as their story is, the Native people did not fall into martyrhood, but were actually empowered by their bravery and courage. We take a look at that bravery here, and hope to administer a dose of bravery that we all need today.

Did you know that you have a relationship with money? Everyone does. It can be a secure connection of trust or a fear-based smothering and hoarding from the world. It can be a relationship of bitter jealousy, or a series of one-night-stands and fear of commitment. Whatever it is, money has a relationship with you and you have a relationship with money. This dynamic plays out in our spending patterns and habits we see in our day-to-day lives. Author of Make Money Your Partner ,Beth Dana, discusses with us the idea that we have relationships and beliefs around money that affect our happiness and wellbeing (and vice versa). We spend some time speaking on the mentality you take into your relationship, and how it can help your connection with the wonderful tool of abundance.

In honor of Veteran's Day, we are chatting with a retired Vet on his experience with the Military of 20 years. He wishes to remain anonymous during this interview, and we are promised many interesting and eye-opening details. This episode goes along with the previous week's episode, 26: Is Socialism more Selfish than Capitalism?Understandably, one does not usually make the connection between socialism and the military, however we discuss some common aspects between the two ideas in this episode, as well as military history, and some of the perks of being in The Armed Forces.

As the title suggests, we are discussing in this episode socialism and capitalism. As voting Tuesday, for the mid-term election approaches, we are leaning into the controversial topic of politics and what that means on a spiritual level. Is socialism the answer to spiritual healing? Capitalism? Or maybe a new type of heart-centered economic and political system is in order. Halloween, or Samhain as the Pagan tradition calls it, is a time marked by the thinning of the veils. It is when the separation between the material world and the spiritual world is more connected than other times of the year. Because of this, we may find it intriguing to watch a scary movie with friends, or go to a "haunted house." Scarlet Porretta shares with me her knowledge of these types of things. Ghosts, benevolent beings, malevolent beings, ancestors that have passed over; they all want to reach us to give us a message. What openings are you creating in allowance of the messages reached, and what are you doing that may weaken your boundaries, creating an opening for the malevolent to get through? We discuss all of this on this week's episode of Spiritual Wake-Up Call.

In this solocast, Marilyn defines what is an energy vampire, otherwise known as a "psychic vampire," and how to spot one. Marilyn also goes into examples of energy vampires and tactics that will help you learn how to deal with them and preserve your energy should you come across one.

Attributes of a Psychic Vampire:
1. Unaware of the behavior- in survival mode by taking other's energy. Not interested in finding resolve, but only wants the narcissistic supply (your pitty, your attention, your energy).
2. Has a pattern of gaining negative attention-makes you want to fight.
3. Deception- triangulates people against each other. Gets people to be angry at others even though it is them that is causing the disconnect.
4. Guilts others- wants your empathy to abuse and gain attention.
5. Thinks everyone is out to get them and they are not safe in the world- martyrhood.
6. Needs to do activities that induce adrenaline and excitement to "feel" something.

This episode marks the beginning of my three-part Halloween, Sawin specials where we are exploring the dark, mysterious, and veil thinning subjects to celebrate this time of seasons passing. We have Corbie Mitleid, a top U.S. Psychic and Author based in Up-State New York. She is sharing with us the benefits one would get from seeing a psychic, and the best way to choose a psychic if you are new to the game. She says we must search for a spiritual advisor by doing the "puppy" method. We must go on a walk (looking around), get paper trained (read their brochures and literature), and then go and talk to the ones that interest you. Corbie has written the books The Psychic Yellow Brick Road, You Got the Magic Who Needs a Genie, and Clean Out Your Life Closet. You can book a reading with Corbie and find out more about her at www.CorbieMitleid.com

In this episode, we get into the heart of Quantum Healing and what that means. Michael Harris shares his story of going through a near death experience that left him debilitated and told by physicians that he would need to amputate his legs. He went to a different facility and sought a second opinion. There, he was given advice on how to self heal his vascular problem. In this episode we will discuss not only near death experience, but also how one person's story can create a ripple effect of helping to change the world for the better.

In this episode, we open up a dialogue on whether Marijuana can be a helpful tool on a spiritual level, or if it can actually hinder someone's spiritual growth. We also discuss if someone IS actually able to become addicted to Marijuana. Can Marijuana help an individual? Does it do harm? What is it doing to communities where it is legalized? These concepts we break into with returning guest Nick Vinios.

In this Colabocast between Spiritual Wake-Up Call and The Universe's Miracle, returning guests Elma Relihan and Donald Deadwylar discuss current issues between masculine and feminine dynamics on the planet. We call in and channel The Divine Feminine and Divine Masculine energies to gain any insight that these powerful energies would like us to know during this time. The two energies came through very clearly, with some very direct messages that may help bring perspective to how we got into this situation of disharmony in the first place, and how we may return to unity.

Children can give us subtle reminders to not take life too seriously and live in the moment. There is something very spiritual about that practice. And, the older you get, the more practice it takes to do so.
In this episode I am speaking with my kids about the future, technology, leadership, creativity, and much more. This is a special episode where we get to hear what kids have to say about the world and how it may be changed in the future.
Money carries so much energy with it. With it can come shame, guilt, and fear. But, it does not have to be that way. Money can be used as a tool for healing on your spiritual journey. In this solocast episode, I am going to get into why money has been seen historically as a root of evil, shame, and fear. Also, we are going to get into how to heal from it, which is first, to deal with your shame and fear around it.

This is a part 2 discussion to my episode 7 "The Deep End Teal Swan Documentary Review." In the first episode, we discussed how the the trajectory of the narrative being displayed by the film crew was veering in the direction of what could be a negative story. These intuitions were confirmed as soon as episode 2 came out, as what was more of a covert type of exploitation turned soon into an overt story line meant to harm the image of Teal Swan and her team. In the end, what Bits Sola-Jon Kasbe Team had produced was a campaign smear geared towards character assassination, distortion of truth, edited and spliced to fit a narrative that did not reflect reality, cherry-picking bits and parts of conversations, superimposing sound bites onto other visual scenes, creating ideas for the viewer of false events, editing scenes out of sequence, undertones of ominous musical score in the background, all while creating a false story line focused on the defamation of character of Teal Swan. The Deep End is not a "documentary" by far, but rather a fictional drama that did not use fictional characters.
So now we ask, Why? Lets try to understand this film crew. As Teal's teachings have brought to the world a greater understanding in order to create more love and connection, we must understand WHY when others are playing a Zero Sum Game. And, what does this mean spiritually for Teal, her team and for others that have been targeted by abuse and exploitation? Is there a deeper spiritual meaning? Join Nick Vineas, Donald Deadwylar, and myself as we discuss the spiritual, legal, and even career implications that this film crew has created for themselves and everybody involved.
Special message to Jon Kasbe: Jon, you have the power to actually transmute this terrible situation and create retribution with the TRUTH. You spent 3 years with this team, and you know that this film is unethical. I really believe you know what is right. If you #releasethefootage, you can actually be the hero in this story and gain more recognition than staying silent about being used as a tool in this nefarious project.

In this day and age, mankind is suffering from the effects of what would be called polarization. Polarization means a sharp division of opposing sides. Polarization between races is only one example. With technology's ability to connect people, it has also served as a source separation as well. This obvious acknowledgment of opposite extremes coming to our consciousness serves as an opportunity to recognize this polarization, to an uncomfortable degree, so that we may resolve to come back together in unity. Race relations has become a source in being able to do this. In this week's episode, we talk about this with Donald Deadwyler, in hopes to find how spirituality plays a role in this purpose.

This episode is a solocast with only the birds and wind of the forest as guest speakers. We are talking about the severely misconceived label of the "Twin Flame." Twin Flames are split souls that have come into this world to gain awareness as a single soul group within several living bodies. It is the ultimate spiritual tactic to getting more things "done." There is so much misinformation in the media about it, as if the only Twin Flame is that of a romantic partner. It can be that, and that is a specific contract that is discussed here, however, there are other Twin Souls that come in many forms, which we get into in this episode. We also touch on Soul Mates, Karmics, and other types of soul teachers that are there for your greater understanding of life and growth.

In this bonus episode, we critique the methods and content portrayed in The Deep End, a documentary about Teal Swan which operated independently of Teal and her organization. Nick Vinios, who was present at the retreat filmed in the first episode, reviews the documentary with me. With dismay for the extra draw that may bring attention to this film, I realize this fact, and consciously make the choice to review the film still. I choose this because, while the passive way of dealing with confrontation (and that is what creators of this film did when they decided to exploit Teal Tribe, create confrontation) may work for some, it doesn't speak to my truth as a seeker of justice.

At this point on the timeline of agriculture history, mankind is at a precipice. It is at a precipice because the current trajectory of degradation of top soil, due to current large scale farming practices, allows for only 60 more years of crop production as we know it today. For those that want to continue to consume nutrient rich foods, aside from eating laboratory grown food, a better way must be found. In this episode, Justin Taylor, a soil advocate, explains farming practices that have been found to work WITH nature, not against it. Think of these regenerative farming and organic methods as a "head start" to what will soon be a last resort, 60 years from now.

Functional Medicine is a form of practicing medicine by finding root causes of symptoms, rather than merely treating symptoms. In this modality, "medicine" extends beyond pharmaceuticals, and can include acupuncture, acupressure, OMT (osteopathic manipulation treatment), chiropracty, nutritional IV therapy, herbal and vitamin supplements, massage, breathwork, meditation, and so much more. We go into why this form of practice is shifting the paradigm of the medical world we live in, and how it may be desired by those that are sick of a cycle that keeps them sick.

Ceremony takes the stage in this week's episode of Spiritual Wake-Up Call. Somatic Release Breathwork can be as powerful as a Plant Medicine Ceremony. You may have out-of-body-experiences, visions, and intuitive insights that you did not have before. However, the difference between Somatic Release Breathwork and Plant Medicine is that it is easily accessible to anyone, and readily received by just about everyone. It also is not controlled by an outside substance, but rather by you directly, through your own breath.
In this day and age, we have technology to back us up on the inability to connect with others from far distances. But, with being in Ceremony with others during this Journey-type breathwork, we gain further access to healing our trauma and communing with a group in the same room.

In this episode, we take a look at the Divine Feminine and how she is expressed, sexually, through art. We will be discussing the sexual portrayal and archetypes of Divine Feminine in history and modern times. Through this spiritual conversation on the polarity of masculine and feminine, we discover who we are, where we have come from, and where we may be going. Disclaimer: In this conversation, when speaking of "masculine" and "feminine" we are speaking on ENERGY, not male, female, nor gender identities.

In this part 2, we continue the discussion on "felt sense of trauma," and get further into what that means. Scott discusses the relationship to the body and mind when dealing with parts work. Parts work can help the individual heal polarization or disassociation, also known as "numbness."
