HOW HAVE BLACK AMERICANS BEEN IMPACTED BY COVID-19?
Are you a Black American who has lost someone during the Covid-19 pandemic?
Are you a Black American who didn't lose anyone and you want to share what it was like to work and live during the Covid-19 pandemic?
Are you a non-Black American who lost someone close to you who was a Black American and you want to share their life story?
Do you want to share your story about them?
I'm a Black American; I'm an educator; I'm a writer.
I want to tell your story.
I want to provide a platform for people to hear your experience. Your story matters.
My mission is to give a voice and a name to the statistics that Black Americans are at a higher risk of infection and death due to Covid-19.
I want to hear your unique perspective during the Covid-19 pandemic.
If you did not get Covid-19, and you are a Black American, I want to hear how you felt about the vaccine, how you felt about the mask-mandate, how you felt about staying-at-home in 2020.
How can you share your story with me?
You can either EMAIL ME to schedule a time to speak over the phone or a digital-recording platform. My email is sonjakillebrew@gmail.com
Or you can RECORD A VOICE MEMO and email it to me at sonjakillebrew@gmail.com
In your VOICE MEMO include the following information: • Your full name • What city/state/country you're located in • The name of your loved one or friend or acquaintance • Their relationship to you • Their age when they passed • Their date of their death • What you miss about them • Something unique about them • Something that defined who they were • Your journey with thinking about getting the vaccine or getting the vaccine • Your journey with thinking about the mask mandate • Your journey with getting Covid-19 or avoiding contracting Covid-19
Your voice matters. Your stories matter.
