The Introduction is a podcast that hosts a series of interviews with the next generation of people as they tell their stories about how they have been navigating their way through their respective industries.
Charlie Heat is an American record producer, songwriter and record executive. He got his start in South Jersey working the likes of Lil Uzi Vert and Shawn Smith. In 2015 he signed to Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music and has since collaborated with the likes of Madonna, Travis Scott, Khelani, Sevyn Streeter, and Pusha T. After his time under West, Charlie set out to start his own independent company called The House of 99. The company was established in 2016 by the 6-time Grammy nominated producer along with his business partner Xavier Champange. The House of 99 is an independent, full service music company that provides management, label services and publishing administration. He recently dropped his second studio album under The House of 99 titled "Valentine's Son".
BOUEMAI is a brand and collective that represents building out the mud. In this episode we sat down in our two-part interview with 2 members of the rising collective in Long Beach, CA. In this episode of The Introduction you will here from Charles aka Mr. Bouemai, and Jarrod aka The Blender. They sit down to discuss everything surrounding their brand. Charles is seen as the business man behind the operation and Jarrod is someone who is known for his boxing ability but wears many hats when it comes to the success of their brand.
In this second part we will hear what it has been like for them building their brand from scratch on Delta Ave and how it's been seeing their hard work finally come to fruition.
SK1NANDBONEZ is a rising artist out of Long Beach, CA and serves as one part of the Bouemai collective. In 2019, he broke on to the music scene with his debut project "The Delta Way". The project featured standout records, "Like Me" and "Cautious". It wouldn't be until 2021 when he would drop his second project " The Delta Way 2". This project propelled him into the lime light with songs like "Make It Home" ft. Kalan Frfr., "Dollar and a Dream", and "Telfar Bag."
In this first part of the two-part interview we sat down with the Long Beach native to discuss his rise in the music industry, his upcoming tour, Bouemai, growing up on Delta Ave, plus more.
