As a 145-pound, fourth-string senior linebacker at the Westminster School in Atlanta, Candler Cook seemingly had no shot whatsoever of eventually becoming part of the Bulldogs’ Football Team. He was rejected time and time again but refused to quit on his dream of wearing the Red and Black. Through sheer determination he realized his dream after trying out for the 3rd time! In this episode, we interview Bailey Smith! A former US Army Ranger who served 3 years in 1st Ranger Battalion as a forward observer. After his military career, Bailey carried the Ranger standard with him into college football. Bailey accepted a preferred walk-on offer to play quarterback at the D-1 level. He is a current member of the CMU football team, setting the example for others to follow. From dropping bombs on the enemy, to dropping dimes on receivers, his story is an inspiration to all.

Georgia is a team built on physicality. That is a Kirby Smart buzz word and an absolute cornerstone of his program since he took the reigns in 2016. Alabama is a program that needs no formal introduction. They have been in the CFP every year of it's existence, 2019 being the only exception losing to a historically great LSU team. They've won 6 national titles under Nick Saban 2009, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2017, and 2020. They are the reigning and defending national champions, and this will be the 2nd time they've faced Kirby Smart and Georgia for all the marbles. WHO DID WE TAKE???
Here it is folks, its our CFP game previews looking into what should be a great slate of match-ups between the best 4 teams in the land...We've got the Alabama Crimson Tide the gold standard of college football led by Heisman winner Bryce young and the greatest coach to ever do it. Taking on G5 king and America's underdog Cincy led by Desmond Ridder and a nightmare secondary headlined by Ahmad Sauce Gardner in the Cotton Bowl in Dallas. We've got the Victors themselves, B10 champs Michigan in what many have called Jim Harbaugh's best team yet, headlined by Aidan Hutch vs Kirby Smart's Georgia Bulldogs a team that is loaded to the gills with talent and a regular championship contender squaring off in Miami in the Orange Bowl.
Each one of these is unique in what they're able to do, and there is a path to victory for any of these 4 outstanding squads and that's what we want to dive into here...
Bringing you the recaps from the first 9 bowl games of the 2021 season. Plus we take a look forward to the Myrtle Beach Bowl that pits Old Dominion vs Tulsa.
So, I feel that it is important that we take a moment to reflect on how this little podcast did for the 2021 season. We have produced over 50 episodes on this show so far, and we said a whole lot of things this season and stretching back all the way to preseason! We launched on January the 28th, and began our endeavor of trying to make heads and tails of what we thought would happen this year in 2021, coming off of what will always be remembered as the most challenging and bizzaare season of college football in 2020. Overall, I'd say I'm rather pleased with how we did, especially when I factor in that this is not my day job, I have a full-time military career to attend to, I'm a family man, and I had to resort to recording several of this season's episodes in my truck! I knew nothing about podcasting, sound production, livestreaming, managing apparel or using social media to promote anything, and yet here I sit in December having taken the plunge on all these things.
I'm joined once again by fellow college football enthusiast Victor Black. In this one, we take time to honor all the great individual and team performances from this 2021 season! This episode has it all, we even included an entire list of awards dedicated to the G5! We close the episode with a few thoughts and an official pick for the Army/Navy game!
Well, what else can I say except we just came off of the single worst week this podcast has ever endured. We sprayed the board and the board sprayed back, we lost a duel match to the one and only Mr. Lyndon Killcrease an ardent member of the U crew, congratulations to him. 4-7 on winners this week, 1-3-1 on spreads O/U and our season win percentage tumbled from nearly 72% down to 68% as we are now 91-43 on outright picks for 2021. But that's not what hurt the most this weekend. What hurt the most, was the supreme confidence I had that Georgia would finally exorcise their demons and get that signature win over the Tide in Atlanta, thus bouncing them from the CFP and sending them back to Hell or Alabama take your pick, but NO.....No, history repeats as the Alabama Crimson Tide repeat as SEC champs.
Here comes a clash of titans as all 10 conference games will be played this weekend! And if that wasn't enough, we also have a classic PAC 12 rivalry showdown between USC and Cal. Win and live, lose and die!
Week 12 was a great bounce back week for us, as we unleashed the single largest sprinkle, of picks and best bets we've done all season, and I've got the receipts to prove it! I post every slate of picks and predictions on my FB group, so you've got to get over there to get down on these picks as our season percentage still sits at 69% accuracy when calling winners, there is NO ONE OUT THERE, I've looked folks, no one out there that hits winners like we do...None period! We went an incredible 15-4 on out right winners, 8-6 on spreads, overs and unders. We're going to review some of those picks from our most successful week of the season, as well as preview and predict the exciting slate of games for this rivalry weekend!

In this episode we are joined by MAJ Patrick Mealy. Pat played running back at West Point from 2006-2010. He was a team captain for the Black Knights and was an integral part of their success in the 2010 Armed Forces Bowl. After graduating in 2011, Pat commissioned in the Army and served as a company commander in 3rd Ranger Battalion! From football to the service, Pat Mealy has allowed the process to shape him into a razor-sharp competitor, leader, and above all else, a team player...

So, today's episode is just going to be a massive recap from last week and what we thought about the action that unfolded. And action there was, we had a group member famously ask on Saturday; what should we be watching today, schedule looks pretty boring, to which I responded with a few suggestions ORE vs UCLA, being my first pick...And I followed it up by saying, don't let a week like this lull you to sleep, this is when shakeups happen...Ironically enough, the gentleman I was conversing with is a Penn State fan...
This is our week 8 response episode coming in a little later than we wanted as we usually drop these on Tuesdays, but we're making it happen on HUMPDAY instead . We had a very good week managing a 6-1 mark for the outright winners call. Our Best Bets are hitting just shy of 60% on the year, and we continued that trend this week, some of the best bets I laid last week really pissed me off for not hitting. When we review some of them you'll understand why. And to close today's episode we're going to get you caught up on a little sprinkle of college football news from around the sport! Let's get to it!

Folks this is the midseason mashup! An opportunity to reflect on all that has happened up to this point and unpack what the future may hold as we are sitting here in week 6 officially, we will absolutely respond to what happened last week as we had another spectacular slate of predictions that finished 5-1, bringing us to 22-8 on the year for out right winners that's a 73% win predictor! 8-5-1 on the season for best bets, hitting 57% on those. I'm expecting some swing back the other direction as will always be the case as the season drags on, but for now we're enjoying the victories!
We as always will bring you our 6 game official plays, but man there are so many interesting games and story lines, I wish I had an hour, but alas I do not...However, we will be putting out some leans in this episode, our best bets as always, upset alerts, and to close the show, some thoughts on why this 2021 season feels like the year of the defense!
