Do you offer cage-less options? Yes, we do offer cage-less boarding options. The only caveat to this is that if your dog becomes aggressive towards the other dogs they will be separated and if absolutely necessary kenneled. The same applies if your dog is a consistent escape artist, always looking for a way out.

Does someone stay with my dog overnight? At Wimberley dog sitting your pups will be staying in our home and close to us. If something goes wrong in the night we will be easily alerted and able to take care of them! However it is worth noting that if your pet significantly affects our sleep schedule and creates more work hours by disturbing the other dogs in the night you may be charged an extra fee! This will only occur in instances where your pup keeps us up multiple nights or requires 24/7 supervision.

Can you offer training to my dog? Yes, I can offer basic training, socialization, and classical conditioning to your dog. I have received 3 certificates from Dr. Ian Dunbar and the Dunbar academy for Crucial Concepts in dog behavior and training, simple solutions for common dog behavior and training problems, and the treatment and prevention of dog aggression: biting and fighting. Dr. Dunbar and the Dunbar academy are approved by the national association of dog obedience instructors, certification council for Professional dog trainers, and the International association of animal behavior consultants. What if my dog does not get along with other dogs? We will not deny your dog simply because of this. We will however charge you more for their stay since they will require 100% individual attention and they may be turned down at specific times if we already have multiple dogs booked for the time period. If we are not notified ahead of time that we will be spending the extra time with your dog then they are likely to spend more time in a kennel to prevent harm to your pet or any other in the facility. Will someone spend one on one time working with or walking my dog? In a typical boarding visit we do not take your dog for individual walks. We do however spend time playing fetch and running your dog in the yard most likely in a group with our pups. How often does my dog socialize during boarding? It is our goal to have all dogs spend as much time outside playing with the other dogs as possible! This however can depend on many factors including but not limited to weather, occupancy, your dogs temperament, etc. The more balanced the dog the more time they will spend simply free roaming around the house and 2 large yards! If your dog comes with fleas and we have to treat it, you will be billed. If your dog comes with inadequate medications or food and we have to pick them up, you will be billed. Other instances where you may receive a fee are when you do not communicate certain needs about your dog, they absolutely will not sleep at night and someone has to stay up with them, or if your dog turns out to be aggressive and has to have individual attention 100% of the time. These unexpected potential fees or “common sense tax” allow us to provide your dogs and the others in our facility with the absolute best care possible.
