Funks, hard days, long/tough/bad/struggling days are going to come. Are you going to allow those moments to overtake you or are you going to feed your mind with healthy God-given truths that will transform your mind?
We are famous for the question "is it ok if I...?" Everyday this question is played in our minds but is it the right question to ask? Does it help? There might be some better questions we should be asking.
Where is your spot of waiting? And while there, what are you going to allow your waiting to turn into, something ugly or something beautiful that is produced by the hands of God?
What is behind our "why"? Is it curiosity, maybe. But there is something bigger that creates the majority of our "why" questions. But what is behind isn't always helpful to relieve anxiety and uncertainty. Solomon speaks of the need for trusting in the Lord with all our heart, which can diminish our anxiety and take away our "why" questions of uncertainty. So what does it look like to trust in the Lord with all your heart? Reflection Questions: 1. How did this message of trust resonate with you? Do you lean more to mistrust and questioning or complete trust in God?2. Is the struggle with trust more about our own understanding or the lack of acknowledging God in all areas of life?3. If someone was having a physical asthma attack, would you let them suffer or get them a rescue inhaler? You wouldn't and we shouldn't let those suffering from spiritual asthma attacks suffer but we should give the rescues inhalers of rebuke and correction. What if someone told you, you're doing it all wrong and you need to start over? That's what happened to Nicodemus. He thought he could get to heaven by birth and religion. Then he had a conversation with Jesus who spoke of being born from above, through Jesus.

There are 2 voices, one is the majority of the crowd and the other is the minority who is Jesus. One will lead you to destruction the other will lead to life and we all have a decision to decide who we will follow.
We are called to love but before we add we need to learn what is not love that needs to be removed from our lives.
We tend to be motivated by bias, opinion and excuse but God desires for us to be motivated by compassion and love.
The rich young ruler made life about him but Jesus challenged him to sell everything and be about God. Do we sell everything and make it about God when it comes to others?
How dependent are you upon God?
We think being independent is more valuable but really leads to stress and worry. Being dependent (trust confidence, reliance) upon God is more valuable.

God had a perfect plan, perfect time, perfect person and perfect purpose with Christmas. Do you know what it was?
Who is our neighbor and who are we called to love? In Luke 10 we talk about the law of love.
We're bias towards negative thoughts but the negativity can drive our life into the wrong direction. God wants our thoughts to be centered on Him and in doing that He will bring peace to our minds.
Depression is heavy and full of hopelessness but God is near, He cares and wants to bring healing through His word.
