Life throws curve balls our way when we least expect it. The last 6 months of my life have been the HARDEST but with God, prayer, the bestest of friends and a little wine I am managing. I am not out of the woods yet but are we ever?
Voy a compartir pedacitos de mi vida como madre de 4 teenagers (hense the wine), mi carrera profecional, vida en el Army como minoria, extra curricular activities for the kids and how that comes into play in the day to day, life long friendships, travel and much more. Did I mention it's a bilingual podcast? Que esperas? Join me...
I've learned a lot in the last few yrs of my life, especialmente el ultimo a~o, los ultimo meses han sido puro healing, a puro fuete, no a sido facil!
I am exposing my flaws, my strengths, my faults and what I'm doing to better myself in the hopes that someone can see themselves in what I'm going through and not feel alone - God knows I feel like that often.
We are strong y podemos seguir adelante apesar de todas las adversidades.
Un abrazo a todos y como siempre gracias por el support!
This is all about being a mamacita (y no, no la sexy, badass we are all known for lol) - parenting is hard - parenting a young adult? Bring all the wine for this season in your life!
We love our kids, we do the best we know we can do for our kids but it's really hard when we have to let go and let them be the people we raised them to be - its difficult, painful, heartbreaking and sad but it has to also be empowering and defining to know we did our best within our capabilities.
Take a moment to listen to this love and raw episode. Thank you Angelys for not thinking about it twice when I asked you to join me in this. We are both going through similar paths and I couldn't have chosen a stronger woman to hold my hand and tell me "you are doing ok". Te quiero de aqui al infinito...siempre!
Part of being a better person is to evolve - pensar las cosas antes de decirlas makes all the difference.
Use kindness and empathy when you are trying to share anything - gage your audience and use your best judgement. Communication is key in any relationship and knowing how to do that in an effective manner can break it or make it.
You can't be the same person your entire life and expect relationships to not progress - take the time to process that and see how you can be better therefore, life is more enjoyable, happier and filled with people that bring you light.
What are you actively working on to better yourself?
This weeks episode is about how being a Latina doesn't mean we are crazy or loud - take a second to ackowledge all the hard work we do and how much we are taken for granted. Value us enough to be willing to build a strong foundation in any relationship so when hard and difficult times come around we have the tools to work through it all.
You will hear kids in the background, dishes clanking, wine bottles, wine drinking, laughter, tears and who knows what else but this is a raw inside view to how my sisters and I have come together to navigate through this difficult time, for all of us - we are all grieving.
I hope this real view of our feelings can bring hope, healing and a better understanding to be empathetic.
Un dia a la vez - paso a paso - poco a poco llegaremos a la meta.
Find yourself amazing friends that can hold you when you can't keep yourself straight!
*Disclaimer - not the episode to listen to near tiny ppl ears :)*
Thank you to Melissa and Aldana for helping me through this difficult time and for taking from your time to put this together. My love for you guys is infinite <3
Am I strong? Yes
Do I have a great support system? Thankfully, also yes.
Is grief fair? ABSOLUTELY FREAKIN' NOT!
This is a synopsis of how kindness, empathy and love have helped and continue to do for my kids and I.
Take a listen, might be what someone in your life might need FROM YOU.
We tend to loose ourselves because of work, personal life, even other people - it happened to me, but I found myself again - but a much better version this time. Join me so you can hear all about the different steps I took to be la mejor version de mi!
My kids are all amazing, they are sweet and kind - they teach me everyday how to be a better mom and a better person.
We are all living and going through our own version of difficulty, this is Gwen's and I.
I will add - there is a trigger warning on this about infant death and Infertility.
Feel free to share what YOU do, say or ask of others that help you push through the real hard times.
Thank you for listening!
My internet hates me BUT let’s focus on the powerful message behind this episode. Also, this is episode 4 not 5 (Ay Jima). Pierangela thank you for your point of view and suggestions on how to manage boundaries in a healthy and Christian way.
Know it is ok to set boundaries and NO is a COMPLETE sentence.

What do I consider meaningful friendship and what is the priority of these friendships in my life?
This is a group podcast with some of my bestest of friends, over 26yrs of friendship with some of them - we will discuss different perspective of friendship and how we have managed to keep our bond so strong.
Many times when going through life changing events we seek advise or encouraging words from people that have already been through our situation - I am approaching this whole experience from a “I am in the middle of the storm” and want to let others out there know it is normal to not be ok, to not want to get up from bed, to know you should but you physically can’t, its a chapter in our book of life, however, we can’t let it be the whole story, so here I am trying to heal and live my life one day at a time until I don’t have to feel like I need get up in the mornings but I WANT to get up and enjoy my day!
Are my feelings valid?
Am I crazy for being angry?
How to navigate through life feeling this way...
