The Program Guyz talk everything from the latest happenings in the Oklahoma Sooner Athletic Program, to all of sports around the the nation; not to mention what's the best thing to binge watch this week.
No game this week but the guys are still here to talk some ball. OU is resting up for a massive game against Texas next week, so it's a good time to take stock on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball.
The Program Guyz break down Oklahoma’s first SEC win where OU beat the War Eagles 27-21. Michael Hawkins makes his first start for the Oklahoma Sooners in Auburn, Alabama. Seth Litrell’s Oklahoma offense continues to struggle as Zac Alley and his defense take care of business. Still a lot of work to do for Brent Venables and his team, but we’ll take the W.
We're back and still upset about just how poor the offense is performing. The good news? Auburn's offense might honestly somehow be worse. We break it all down plus give you our game predictions as the Sooners try to move to 4-1 heading into the bye week.

Mark and Matt are joined by friend-of-the-pod Ryan Hile this week for a rousing discussion of all things Oklahoma. Texas and Oklahoma State hold on and appear to be on a crash course for the Big 12 Championship game, with Oklahoma and Kansas State regretting old losses. The Pac 12 seems to be a two-team race between Oregon and Washington. The ACC Championship game is settled: the Jordan Travis-less Florida State Seminoles will take on the Louisville Cardinals. The SEC will be the SEC again, and Georgia and/or Alabama will take their place atop the conference, while we all know the Big Ten West is a fun diversion for the winner of Ohio State/Michigan to warm up for the playoff against.

The devil works hard, but Brent Venables and his staff works harder. After thinking they lost out to Peyton Bowen on National Signing Day, the Sooners capitalized on Bowen not send over his NLI to Oregon. The Sooners worked all night and day on Wednesday and Thursday to lock in Bowen and add him to the class, one of the more spectacular moves in recent recruiting memory. OU now has a Top 5 class according to 247 sports, the first Top 5 class OU has had since the Bob Stoops era. Boomer!

We start the episode by diving into a little more talk about Cale Gundy and try to come to terms with the resignation. We discuss BV's handling of the situation and how we weren't sure there was a better option, unfortunately. We moved onto to some OU practice talk and what guys we were looking forward to seeing in pads this week. The coaches poll came out and had OU at 9th and we dive into some other teams inside the Top 25. Undeniables is back with its finale--the wide receiver position. We end with a look at the NFL world and wrap it up with our PGP MVPs of the week.
EMERGENCY PODCAST!! Cale Gundy is out at Oklahoma after more than two decades. We brought in Josh Callaway from All Sooners to update us on the ever-changing Cale Gundy resignation. Josh was also at practice on Monday, and gave us the low down on what went down during fall camp on Monday morning, some guys to watch for, and how awkward or not awkward it was to see new WR coach L'Damian Washington.
FOOTBALL IS BACK (KIND OF)!!!! This week we start off by talking some Sooner football as they begin fall camp on Thursday. OU local media day was on Tuesday, so the guys recap the press conferences held my Brent Venables, OC Jeff Lebby and DC Ted Roof. The Guyz break down what was said and what we should be looking forward to in the 2022 season. It was another massive recruiting weekend for the Sooners as they got commitments from Colton Vasek and Derrick Leblanc, plus more 4 and 5 stars that are projected to commit to the Sooners in the coming days, weeks and months. We also talk NFL training camp news, Ryan gives us something to watch this week, and we wrap it up with our PGP MVPs of the week.

This episode starts off with Mason and Patrick providing their thoughts on the Baker Mayfield trade after returning from their vacations. NFL executives voted on the top 10 QBs in the league and the guys had some questions about the rankings. Then comes the interview with Josh Callaway of All Sooners. Mason, Mark and Josh preview Big 12 Media Days that begin on Wednesday as well as some of the questions for the Big 12 brass, as well as Brent Venables and his players. The guys return to talk about a massive recruiting week for OU football and deep dive into some of the recent commits.
