I've broken them down so you can keep practising and developing the use of te reo and tikanga Māori in my classroom. Adult voices form the way kids see themselves, and in the classroom, this can directly influence the way they see themselves as learners. In this podcast, you'll get some sweet tips on little things to say to help them improve their growth mindset, some book recommendations, another yarn about Bingo and his swiss ball, and Frank the tank returns at the end for a bit of a catch-up.
Carol Dwek's work in the growth mindset space is huge for children and was the main driver behind me writing my illustrated novels about The Super Weirdos. Alien secret number 1, 'Never give up! Never surrender!' is designed to give kids and teachers a tool to use when the going gets tough.
