Today we are diving into all things living a more self sufficient lifestyle and homesteading and no matter where you are at we discuss so many different options and ways that you can start making these positive changes for yourself.
Our guest today is the wonderful Elissa Jayne has officially been homesteading since 1994, starting the homesteading journey on large acreage in the Strathbogie Ranges, with fully established orchards, a huge veggie plot, overlooking a gorgeous creek, surrounded by rocky hills and gum tree lined pastures. It was a dream location to learn & live.
Life circumstances changed and she moved to the modest sized Moat Cottage in the closest small town with her young son and baby daughter.
Refusing to give up the homesteader’s lifestyle, she picked up where she left off and discovered that so much can actually be achieved part time, on a small backyard homestead, more than she could have imagined. Balancing work, family, and a busy lifestyle with growing organic vegetables, fruit & herbs, using and preserving the harvest, cooking from scratch, stocking and organizing the larder pantry, making and using herbal remedies, raising Chickens and Muscovy Ducks and many other homesteading endeavours.
When Elissa was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia, life circumstances took another change, the exciting lifestyle she was living outside her home suddenly stopped and she was left to focus on her health, raising her children and homesteading. Choosing to focus on and celebrate what she could achieve and share and not focus on the illness, she started the Moat Cottage Homesteading Channel on YouTube.
Elissa has so much incredibly valuable and hard earner knowledge that she so generously shares today and a few of the topics we cover include:

Today we have a really grounded conversation about a topic that affects all of us, yet we don’t talk about all that often. Money!
Its puzzling to think that this is one of the central pillars of lives, but we often don’t like to talk about it, it isn’t something learned about in school, and is something we often tend to ignore. Often, we have an incredibly negative, shameful, and stressful attachment too.
Today’s guest is here to guide us to switch that narrative we hold around money and move the conversation we have about money to an empowering, positive, and practical one, so we can create a positive and enjoyable relationship with money.
Today’s guest is Carla Townsend, a Money Mindset and Success Coach for women in business. Carla is the founder of the brand The Money Mindset Hub, the host of the Money Mindset podcast, a financial counsellor, wide and mother of three.
Carla is on a mission to normalise feminine wealth, through transforming the minds of soul-led women in business, through practical and energetic strategies, so they can finally create more wealth, freedom and success without the hustle and overwhelm.
Carla has been personally and professionally coaching women (and men) throughout her career since 2013. It has become an obsession of hers to empower women to overcome challenges and create magic in their own lives, including receiving overflowing abundance.
Today we cover:
· Carla's story, her own transformation and the process she went through with her money mindset.
· What is a money mindset and how to identify your beliefs and what may be holding you back in this area.
· How you can shift and change your money mindset to an empowering one.
· Healthier and abundant money mindset traits.
· The mindset connection between your success and the money you make.
· The balance of motherhood and entrepreneurship.
Today's conversation is fun, energetic and super valuable!

Do you feel like you dont know what you want, or maybe you do but it feels so frustrating because you feel so far from it? Todays episode we dive into why we don't know or acknowledge what we want and how we can start pointing ourselves in the right direction.
Today's topic is one that we can all relate to and can all take away so much value from. As a symptom of modern life, we are s overwhelmed, overstretched, time poor, exhausted and a-lot of these feelings can be attributed to the amount of clutter that we accumulate in our lives.

Also, how cluttered our minds are, the mental load we carry, that never ending to-do list, weighing down on us daily. Today's episode really talks to this and offers solutions you can put into practice immediately.
Decluttering is a fantastic way to get clarity back, feel empowered and be able to do more and feel more of what you truly want.
