3PAE13 features guest Sylivia, who eloquently explores the deep interconnection and harmony between the teachings of Christ, the Three Principles (3P), and Compassion. Christ taught, “Love your neighbor as yourself”—a directive that begins with loving oneself. She explains that the 3P understanding offers the spiritual and psychological tools to love ourselves and others, to cultivate a good feeling, and to live a happy and meaningful life as expressed in the teachings of Christ.
Sylivia uses the story of the Good Samaritan from the Bible to highlight that a neighbor is not about who lives near you, but about how you treat others; it calls us to love beyond religion, race, and social group; true love is practical, sacrificial, and compassionate; and the Samaritan, despite being from a despised group, was the true example of God’s love.
Through 3P, we gain the freedom to choose how we interpret and reflect on spiritual teachings. Compassion is not limited to financial giving—it also includes prayer, sharing wisdom, and truly listening to others.
Philips adds to the discussion by reflecting on inner wisdom, which deepens our understanding of Christ’s message. He points out that the root of happiness lies in the feeling within us, and when we connect with this feeling, our actions become more compassionate and Christ-like.
One of the most powerful questions raised from the participants in the episode—“How can people claim to love God and attend church, yet lack compassion for others?”—is answered with clarity and insight, inviting listeners to reflect on the alignment between their spiritual beliefs and their everyday actions.

Joseph Wandera, Executive Director of Adetia School, in Busia, Uganda shares inspirational 3P stories. Since 3P became activated in the school, it has led to the success of the school in attracting 120 new students, and in the sharing of love of transforming lives in the teachers, students, parents and community. Statements of Wisdom and Truth
- Our mind makes us aware of the spiritual and of our true nature through the Principle of Thought.
- The purity of the spiritual is the intelligence behind life.
- Everything is God—but God gives us Free Will.
- Ask yourself: Do I know that my feelings tell me about my relationship to the Spiritual?
- The purer and clearer our Thought, the more naturally we feel the true nature of our Mind—it is a feeling of Love.
- Thoughts carry the nature of our spirit into awareness.
- Thought is like a bowl carrying soup. The bowl is needed to hold the soup.
- The soup represents the feeling of God’s love and the intelligence of wisdom.
- Yet we add our own ingredients—whether good or bad.
- Psychology is simply the way we access the spiritual.
- Our thoughts are spiritual in nature.
- Feelings guide us—they reveal how pure or impure our mind is.
- Thought naturally fluctuates—it goes up and down. It’s normal to experience negative thoughts.
- The outside world and the inside world are one.
Questions for Deeper Reflection
- “Can you live without God?” Yes—because that’s how the psychological system works. We can live in illusion, disconnected from spiritual truth, and still function.
- “What problems do thoughts cause?” Thoughts cause two main problems:
- (1) They are sometimes clear and sometimes not, so our experience of God isn't always consistent or pure.
- (2) Because we experience God through Thought, it may feel like the experience is coming from outside of us—through things like food, sex, or money—when in truth, it arises from within.
- “What is the problem if people do not understand this?” When people lack this understanding, they hold on to thoughts, believing external things are causing their problems.
- They get stuck in negative feelings.
- They block the flow of new thoughts and fail to experience the fresh feeling that comes with insight and clarity.

3PAE8—Kabazana Village (a village in Nakivale Refugee Camp. Uganda) with sharing by members originally from Rwanda, Congo, Burundi and other war-torn areas of Africa & now a part of Kabazana. Sharing in Swahili translated into English or directly in English.
Their testimonies about 3P touches the heart as they share their wisdom. “What gives them the courage to keep moving on?” is answered by God is always there, and she wakes up with a hopeful thought. Stuart answers the question “How do you help others when you have the same issues eg. hunger?” A loving village transformed by 3P and well worth listening for anyone who cares about the unlimited power of the human spirit.

Chapter 1 of Zahara teaches What is Love?—Book 2 captures the essence of the book where Gervin, an actual 3P teacher in Nakivale, becomes a colleague with Jim & Harry. Gervin’s testimony supports the teachings of the Zahara books, and how students grasp 3P and ask questions. Zahara, as a teacher in this book, introduces how to teach the students with trust and love. As Gervin taught his students this, he saw how they went home and shared love and wisdom with their parents.

Martha's Moraa's story will touch everyone's heart -- GUARANTEED!! -- As part of the life changing series from 3P in Africa, from hopelessness, rape and despair to evolving into a 3P Coach. From teaching orphans, her mother and now assisting German 3P Coach, Shailia Stevens, in teaching the youth in Austria, Europe. she is allowing her bright shining light to illuminate the world we live in.
Martha is from Homa Bay, Kenya living with her grandfather, who is a bishop in the Christian faith. Together they teach 3P in their orphanage of 25, with Martha directly helping the orphans to live a happy life, while Grandfather teaches 3P in his Sunday sermons.

3P in Africa Life-Changing Stories, a series created by team member, Shailia Stevens, Germany. Story 1 is Kibangula sharing in Swahili and translated into English by Philips, Manager of 3P Nakivale Alcohol Department.
From the depths of the worst of human experiences including the killing of his wife and forced to leave the Congo, to indulging in tablets and alcohol, his story demonstrates how he stopped his addictions through the teaching of 3P. He came to understand that “love and forgiveness is something important, and how he found happiness through 3P.” Philips sums up the teachings of Kibangula beautifully at the end.

When Jack Pransky (who approved this offering) taught 1 class in “3P in Africa”, he stated, “he wished there were more projects like this in America.” Modello was the inspirational light for 3P Community work when Sydney Banks was alive, and in many ways is the inspiration for our many 3P in Africa projects.
Modello is the true story from beginning to end of how Dr. Roger Mills and staff accomplished the “miracle” in the Modello and Homestead Gardens Housing Projects, applying the Three Principles/Health Realization approach based on a new spiritual psychology. Through extensive interviews with residents as well as Dr. Mills, his staff and other professionals, a very compelling and moving portrait is painted of how two low-income, inner-city housing projects replete with violence, crack, drug gangs, abuse, welfare dependency and hopelessness were completely turned around within two-and-a-half years. This book shows how people who lived in the most difficult circumstances were reached, came to find hope and changed their lives. “In all my years in prevention I have never seen this level of change in people!” It is a truly inspirational story. The lives of people on whom society has given up were completely turned around. At the same time it is a sociological study. It shows how a new and different inside-out, spiritual paradigm, which on the surface seems too simple and backwards to possibly work in such overwhelming conditions, can produce incredible results and create changes in people’s lives that stand head and shoulders above the traditional outside-in paradigm for prevention, human services, social work, community development and education. It has vast implications for improving humanity’s social ills.

This African audio book consists of 11 chapters, each of which has its own special teachings on love. ZAHARA ASKS WHAT IS LOVE? can be listened to as a book or taught as individualized chapters to students in an educational setting. Zahara and Bibi are fictional African characters who emerged from the imagination of Harry's own mind. The 2 stories by Nehemia and Muhindo are true stories to give the readers some understanding of life in an African refugee camp. My hope is that they lift those suffering into a feeling of hope and love. The individual stories or chapters were created around the training of 3 Principles projects by Harry's team in Nakivale Refugee Camp in Uganda, Kakuma Refugee Camp in Kenya. The project of Graben Junior School, near Kampala, Uganda is headed by Harry and Jim. Many of the above mentioned projects are in alliance with Back to the Fitrah Mentoring Academy certified mentors. The book is written by Harry Derbitsky and the audio book is read by Jim Beck. The written book is used to compliment the educational component of this audio book or to be read or taught as a stand alone book.
