In this episode, I want to share with you the 5 Things You Should Do If today Was Your Last Day on earth. This episode is inspired by a podcast I recently listened where the host pondered the question:

"What would you do if today was your last day?"

It had been inspired after he had read “The Monk who sold his Ferrari” by Robin Sharma.

I had also recently read about Bronnie Ware, an Australian palliative nurse who spent years taking care of the dying, individuals who were in the last three months of their lives.

She recorded their dying epiphanies in a blog which gathered so much attention that she put her observations into a book called The Top Five Regrets of the Dying.

The podcast and the article about Bronnie Ware got me thinking about what would I do if today was my last day on earth.

This episode is all about why allowing your children to fail is an important part of their development. I want to stress this not about taking risks or not keeping them safe.  It is about allowing them take personal responsibility for their lives. Being a parent is probably the hardest job you will ever have and it is natural to not want to see your children upset or hurt.

However, continually stepping in and removing the challenges and protecting them from failure is depriving them of vital experience and the opportunity to develop skills and resilience for their adult life.

Sleep is one of the most overlooked ways of improving your overall health. It is something we often sacrifice or neglect. Here in the UK

  • 36% of UK adults struggle to get to sleep at least on a weekly basis
  • Nearly half of the UK have trouble falling asleep at least once a month

We underestimate the importance of sleep, it impacts so many functions of the body, energy levels, creativity, cognition, memory and long term health.

It is also an area that you can improve the quality and quantity of at no cost and yet see massive improvements in all areas of your life. If you are going to maximise your day and your potential, high-quality sleep is essential.

In this episode, I will walk you through what I feel is the ultimate sleep routine based on the research I have undertaken and the things I have tried and tested.

This podcast was inspired by an article about the writings and philosophies of Bruce Lee. Lee was obsessed with learning how to make the most of his life from a young age.

This is reflected in the countless hours he spent reading books; by the age of 30, he had amassed a library of thousands of titles, the majority of which were on self-help, philosophy, and martial arts.

Lee would record the key lessons and messages from his countless hours of studying in an handwritten journal.

Bruce was more than just a theorist; he was also a doer. As a result, any important lesson he could grasp intellectually, he would apply in his daily life, with martial arts serving as his main vehicle.

This episode contains 6 of Bruce Lee's philosophies that resonated with me and can be applied to your everyday life.

Episode 36 was inspired by the amazing Leo Babauta from his website Zen Habits.

Our lives are frequently turbulent and chaotic. We can become disorganised, overwhelmed, or confronted by unexpected events. We can feel like ships in the middle of a storm being tossed around by the sea. And this can cause us to shut down or become anxious... Alternatively, we can simply sit in peace with the chaos.

The practice of becoming centered is a way to find peace within the chaos that might be surrounding us. It’s about being “in check” with what’s going on. Individuals who are centered are typically calm and peaceful.

This episode provides a simple technique to become centred.

This episode is about the shortness of life and the importance of making every second of it count!
