The remainder of season 1 will be relaunching on 03/02/22! Sweetly Confident is all about being a strong, independent person, while also having empathy and concern towards others. On this season, we're going to cover conversations I've had with friends in real life, because I truly believe the best way to really learn about ourselves is to dig deep, and there's nothing I love more than an over-pour and an over-share. I want to help you take a step back and see these struggles for what they are: normal. We all go through and deal with these things, and I think it can sometimes be really helpful to hear another person's perspective. *** To be clear, I have no qualifications here. I'm not a therapist or a life coach, but I am a friend, and I would love to be a friend you turn to when these struggles start to hit. New episodes will release every Wednesday at 11 AM Central, and you can find me online at sweetlyconfident.com. Until then...
As fun as dating can be, it's also extremely hard sometimes. Today we're talking about dating, and chances are we're going to touch on something you've experienced. This is a completely innocent, fun conversation where we talk about some of our experiences and what it looks like to navigate the beginning, awkward parts of relationships, and the parts when we knew we needed to dip out.
Paul Kevetter steps into this episode and it's a powerful one. PK is the online pastor at Crosspoint Church in Nashville, TN and we're talking about what it looks like to *start/come back to trusting and following Jesus, and how to find your authentic relationship with God.
PK and Heather connected in early 2021, so on this episode they talk about the evolution of their friendship, the way God moved and the basics of what it means to welcome Him in.
The whole point of this episode is just to let you know that Jesus is here for you, no strings attached, whenever you're willing and ready. Heather stepped away from God for 14 years of her life, but she came back. She understands the hurt and the fear, and she's ready to hush the stigmas. PK understands the struggles, and he doesn't judge. He gets excited when he hears stories and he thrives on helping others grow.
DISCLAIMER: We are not pushing Jesus on you in this episode, we're just talking about His power and our experiences in the hopes that you might connect with or be curious of something we've said.
If you're ready to take that next step and want more advice, reach out. Crosspoint.tv has amazing resources to help you take that next step, and if you want to reach Heather directly and talk more about her journey you can reach her personally at hstupeck@gmail.com.
Today we're talking about what it looks like to step out of the box of your job title and into the world of everything you're made of. David Pearson, a successful real estate broker/songwriter/musician/pilot chimes in with his opinions on what balance looks like and differentiating our identities from who we are compared to who somebody tells us to be.
Today we're talking about the yes, no and maybe responses to questions we just don't want to commit to.
Today we're breaking down what it looks like to be an inclusive person with boundaries, how we make people feel in unfamiliar situations and the message our bodies send before we have the chance to speak.
Today we’re talking about friendships. FULL DISCLOSURE - this episode starts out a little rocky. This episode starts out with me admitting my truly honest flaws in how I approach new friendships in the hopes that it will make YOU think about how you approach them. I don't have the best initial strategy, but I'm working on it, so let's work together.
As we get older, maintaining friendships become more and more difficult to do. Between life schedules and political opinions, it takes work. A lot of work, and making them in the first place can be even harder. On this episode, we’re breaking down the types of friendships we have in our lives, and how to navigate through the challenges they might bring.
When you’re looking for friends, find the car poolers. They’re the ones that have the same destination in mind and are more than willing to share the gas mileage. On today's episode we're talking about navigating situations that are just uncomfortable, and what it looks like to be polite.
On this episode we're talking about the importance of embracing the uncontrollable and giving yourself grace when grace is all you have to give. This is raw, messy and a little hectic, but it's 100% worthy of conversation.
My guest on this episode is Stephanie Braum, and today we're talking about Imposter Syndrome. Imposter Syndrome, by definition, is the persistent inability to believe that one's success is deserved or has been legitimately achieved as a result of one's own efforts or skills.
We talk about how it's affected us, why it's affected us and how we work through it. It gets to be a little heavy at times, but it's an overall healthy conversation and I really hope it helps you connect the dots of your life in some way too.
READ THIS - First and foremost, this episode isn't meant to be hateful, hurtful or insensitive. This episode, for the most part, is meant to be very lighthearted and honest. Social Media is a beast of a platform, and it's not always the easiest platform to live with. Today we're talking about a few aspects that I find truly fascinating about the social media world.
Today we're going to talk about things we should stop talking about. Questions that we may find innocent, others find offensive. I hope that this episode either gives you a new perspective on how to approach these topics, or validates your feelings and proves you're not alone. Either way, let's talk!
Today we're talking TOXIC and Monica Rokicki joins in on this conversation! We go over the different types, the ways we're guilty and how to navigate the conversion when it comes up.
Let's talk fears! We all have fears that others can't relate to, and that's okay. Other people don't have to understand your fears for them to be valid. On this episode I'm going to tell you about some common fears that people have, along with a few of mine. My hope is that you can start to give yourself and your friends a little grace when talking about fears, and respectful of the feelings they have towards things. My fears make no sense, I'm well-aware, but just because I can acknowledge that doesn't make them any less scary.
Friends talking to friends here and today we're talking boundaries. We're going to talk about the different types of boundaries, why they're important to set and how to navigate through the ones we can't understand. On this episode we're going to take a step back and give ourselves permission to valid ourselves and our comfort levels, or lack of. We're also going to talk about why other people's boundaries don't have to concern us if they're not affecting us, and reasons to move on when the boundaries don't fit quite right.
