Episode Summary
When I first created this The Journey Podcast I was struggling with anxiety and the need to perfect. Often I would come to the mic to record an episode and wouldn't be able to get a word out. I felt voiceless. I knew what God was calling for, I knew exactly what to say, but something stopped me from speaking. In this episode we dive deep into what it means to be the voice of God, and letting go of anxiety. I share parts of my testimony and moments where I felt voiceless. Along with that we talk about the importance God's word, and how it can dwell in us richly.

Episode Summary
In this episode I had the opportunity to interview my 12 year old brother on his experiences with an inconsistent and abusive father. Through this we learned a lot about each other and Josiah was able to reflect on past trauma, pain, and emotions. This was a fun filled and emotional episode of transparency and wisdom. This episode includes topics of abuse, depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts. We talk about how these things have shaped our lives and the freedom that we've experienced through God.

Before recording this episode I thought I would be talking about a chapter of my story. Talking about how being "fatherless" or having less of a father affected my life. What started out as this, turned into a message to my dad. Talking about the affects of him not being there, how God showed me that he was the perfect father, and different ways I tried to find him in other people. This is not a letter of hate, but of forgiveness and how God used this for my good.
I'm so thankful to God because he has shown me that I am not alone, he gave me new life. He gave the love that I desperately needed. Through God I was able to be 100% healed from anxiety, depression, and suicidal thoughts. Through him I am able to be free and see his hand on every aspect of my life. I see him changing the people around me. I see him bringing people out of the darkness and into the light! I am so thankful for that God has brought me through and all that he doing.
