This conversation was recorded on August 8th, 2024. I met Chase at his most recent birthday party and he is a jovial and life-giving lawyer, as well as a pinball enthusiast. We had a lovely time sharing stories and experiences and I was inspired by his desire to learn.

Here is his official work bio:

Chase Hardy is a Texan through and through.

Chase understands that a journey through our judicial system can be intimidating. The fear of the unknown can creep into every crevice of a person’s life. This is why Chase has dedicated his life to understanding the intricate and nuanced workings of our judicial system. A continual thirst for knowledge and years of traditional schooling has crafted Chase into a truly zealous advocate for everyone he represents. He believes deeply in the wisdom of the jury and is proud to take a case to verdict.

A San Antonio Native, Chase began his primary education in the community of Castle Hills. He studied Finance at Baylor University in Waco, Texas where he was heavily involved in student life. Chase stayed in Waco for his legal studies and attended Baylor University School of Law. Chase contributed to the law school’s advocacy programs by competing on multiple Mock Trial and Moot Court teams in competitions across the nation.

As a law student, Chase spent his summers clerking for two prominent San Antonio Plaintiff’s and Defense firms and had the honor of working with Justice Patricia O Alvarez of the Fourth Court of Appeals. After receiving his provisional license Chase began practicing law at the age of 23. By the time he turned 25 Chase had successfully first-chaired a civil trial to verdict. Chase was hired as an Associate Attorney with GRIFFIN PURNELL LLC in 2021.

While outside of the courtroom, Chase enjoys working on his family ranch in Boerne, Texas.

This conversation was recorded in May of 2022, in Cincinnati, OH. I feel so grateful to have had the chance to stop by Isaac's house and record with him.

Isaac's music; be it with Pomegranates, or on his own, has been speaking to my soul since I was sixteen! I feel so fortunate to have grown up listening to his music and move from a fan to a friend. When I was paralyzed right before my nineteenth birthday, he sent me a mixtape of some songs he had not yet released and it was so special. I believe music has healing power and his songs in particular have offered me personal evidence for this belief. He, along with Joey, Jacob, and Matt all helped me produce a solo 'Pilgrim Kid' record when I was 21, called Homesick; at Sabbath Recording Studio in Cincy.

I'm overwhelmed with gratitude to know him and I would love to record with him again someday soon, but until then be sure to listen to his music through Bandcamp and his Marble Garden Mixcloud.

This conversation is an honor to share! Recorded in March of 2018, this is the first OIMC conversation recorded outside of the United States. I had just been invited to move to Texas for a new job and one of my sister's had recently moved to Honduras with her husband and three children, as missionaries. I was so fortunate to put off my starting day at my new job and I hopped on a flight out of Houston. I spent about a week in Honduras and I had such a lovely time. My sister and her sweet family have since moved back to Illinois and added another son to the family. In 2023 they will be moving back to Honduras and I hope I'm able to add a subsequent episode with Kelita and my brother-in-law Ben; explaining the unique adventure and learning they've experienced through all of this.

I deeply admire and Kelita and Ben, the beautiful and brilliant nephews and nieces they've added to my life and I am so grateful to call them family!

I met Yorkie in 2020, before Texas found itself impacted by the cultural whirlwind of a global pandemic. I was invited to a celebration in Austin, filled with dancing and beautiful strangers. I met Yorkie on the dance floor and he told me he loved my energy. He seemed to be a sort of representative for the Austin dance scene. Darius is the founder of the Austin based dark-wave band, Haunt Me. I had the sweet fortune of meeting Darius at his merchandise table, attending a show he recently performed in San Antonio. Not only is he a talented musician and writer, but also the host of the podcast, "The Devil's Hour: A Podcast For The Strange & Unusual." Enjoy!

'Oops I Missed Church' the radio show made its debut January of 2017 on KMZN Radio, in Oskaloosa, Iowa. This conversation was recorded remotely January of 2018 in Sarasota, Florida; as our host Micah Leaverton explored the direction and future of his own life and year-old radio show. Here we are today listening and celebrating conversations gone by! Sanford is a significant creature and I feel so fortunate to have had and now share this conversation and music with you. Enjoy!  theeldoradomotel.bandcamp.com

This episode was recorded in the Spring of 2018. I met Bentli at Craig Hospital in Denver, Colorado; the spinal cord and/or brain injury rehabilitation hospital. I was there originally in 2013 to learn how to live in a wheelchair. I am forever grateful for the grace they added to such a life-changing event, the staff and new friends. If you ever break your back, consider Craig Hospital. I don’t know where Bentli is now and I hope we are able to reconnect and record an update soon. Enjoy!

This conversation is another recorded in 2017. I met Rick while I was working a part time job for Bath Fitter. I was sitting at a bath tub display at the Iowa State Fair and he and his wife wandered through. They had the most welcoming demeanor and I was able to get Rick's number. We later scheduled a phone interview and this episode holds our conversation. I was so encouraged by Rick and so grateful for his willingness to speak with me, having no real idea who I was. What a gift!
