Preti Kaur (who is a teacher at an international school in Malaysia) hosts this podcast that revolves around and is about Millennials. In this podcast, Preti is joined by different guests to talk about issues that affect Millennials all around the world and in Malaysia. Simply put, this podcast is for Millennials hosted by a Millennial.
Episode 12: It's been awhile but we're back with an episode on music. We may all be familiar with Nora Jones and her dad, the late sitarist Ravi Shankar. At home, however, we have our very own gifted sitarist who continues the legacy of this classic art form: Kumar Karthigesu. In this episode, I speak to Kumar about his journey towards being sitarist during a time when there were no other career sitarists in Malaysia. Episode 9: In the second part of the green series, I speak to India-based youth climate activist, John Paul Jose. A large part of Malaysia is currently suffering the worst floods since 1996, with severe devastation and loss. We discussed the why, how, and future steps in terms of flood mitigation, as well as drew comparisons with John's experiences working with the flood situations in Kerala, India. Episode 8: After a short hiatus, Millennials Boleh is back with a green series. Recently, the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Convention (COP 26) was held, reigniting the necessary conversation surrounding climate action. With this in mind, I spoke to Dr Renard Siew, Asia's very own green warrior. In this first episode of the green series, Dr Renard Siew, who is a sustainability and climate activist proffered his insights on green awareness, climate activists such as Greta Thurnberg, sustainable development, and "greenwashing".
