The Pitbox is a brand new podcast hosted by Chris Steers and Emma Delaney. It's a Podcast for all things Motorsport, whether this be Formula 1, Extreme E, Motorbikes or Go-karts. It's a podcast hosted by Motorsport fans, for Motorsport fans!
In the second episode of the series we ask whether the Miami Grand Prix lived up to all the hype? Megan Tidbury also shared her thoughts on the first race in W-Series. Tom Jackson also looks at the first 5 races of the season.
We’re back for Series 2 and we’ve gained a new member. We welcome Megan Tidbury to the Pitbox Crew where throughout the motorsport season she’ll be providing us with the latest news on W-Series and diversity within the sport.
In this episode we also look ahead to the first race of the season, as the new era of F1 cars begins in Bahrain. Who knows which team has got it right this year?
Well after a 2-year wait, Formula 1 returns the Circuit of the Americas. It’s still tight at the top and after a few wet races in the last few weeks, a change in continent and climate is welcome by every team in the paddock. Last time out in Turkey, it never really dried out did it? Ocon did the whole race on 1-set of tyres. Vettel took a gamble by pitting for a dry tyre, then realising his mistake after 1-lap and ended up further down the order as a result.
W-Series also returns in Austin for their season finale. Abbi Pulling is back in the hotseat again so should be an exciting weekend of racing.
No Emma this week, so Tom Jackson is back in the hot seat.
Last time out it was a huge win for Mclaren, who had their first one-two finish since the Canadian GP in 2010, it was also their first win since Jenson Button in 2012. Lewis and Max took each other out yet again, could this be the most heated rivalry since Prost vs Senna? The Halo proved it's worth yet again too.
This week F3 Cup driver Shane Kelly guests on the Podcast. He talks to Chris all about being a driver and shares his advice about getting into a career in Motorsport.
It’s been a wild week in Formula 1, huge week of signings with George Russell of to Mercedes (Worst kept secret in Formula 1). Kimi announces his retirement for the sport at the end of the season, Alex Albon in a Williams and Valtteri Bottas to Alfa Romeo. Oh and we had a race in the Netherlands and a weird race in Spa which resulted in a Williams Podium.
It’s the final episode for the next few weeks because of the Summer break! How quick has that gone? Half way through the season already, and what a race Hungary was! Emma has her review, and Tom Jackson chats to Chris about how he feels the season is going so far.
Woah! What a race Silverstone was, lots of talking points and lots of debate. In Episode 8, Chris visits Staffordshire University Racing, who very kindly invited him to their car launch last week. They are taking part in Formula Student which takes place this week at Silverstone, just days after the British Grand Prix. How cool is that? Oh and Chris keeps calling the Hungarian Grand Prix the Hungary Grand Prix, we don’t know why but what we do know is it’s going to be another exciting race next week.
We are back! It's been a long time coming but Episode 7 is finally here! What a few weeks it has been with a triple header, the start of W-Series and Silverstone now only 2 weeks away!
This weekend it’s the turn of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. Formula 1 returns to the streets of Baku and Chris and Emma can’t wait. Short and sweet episode today with a Monaco review and a look a the latest news Motorsport news!
Monaco is here! The signature street circuit for F1 is back after a forced 1 year Hiatus due to Covid-19. Big news coming into the race weekend from McLaren with the team running a special livery over the weekend and Lando Norris signing on for a multi-year deal. 750th Grand Prix for Williams and Romain Grosjean getting a podium in IndyCar.
Well it’s another race week and not only is it the return of the Spanish Grand Prix, but huge news coming from Mercedes and Romain Grosjean in that he will drive for them at a mid-season test in France. Oh and the Monaco E-Prix is this weekend too, and for the first time ever the Formula E cars will be going up the hill and through the tunnel in an almost mirror image of the Formula 1 track.
Chris and Emma are really excited that the F1 Season is now fully underway. The races are now coming thick and fast with the Portuguese Grand Prix kicking off this weekend. Also big news in the form of the Miami Grand Prix, Sprint Races and the Return to Istanbul following the cancelation of the Canadian Grand Prix.
In Episode 2 we have an Imola review. What a race that was with another Red Flag and an amazing Drive from Hamilton and Norris.
McLaren intern Zac Young chats to Chris about his Journey in Motorsport and what it's like to work for one of the biggest and best F1 Teams.
